This is a position running until 20 September.

We are looking for a friendly and proactive Chef to join our kitchen team. Our onsite eatery holds a 5-star VisitScotland rating and offers breakfast, coffee and tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. You will play a key role in creating fresh, high-quality dishes from scratch and ensuring our high standards are consistently maintained. This is a permanent role, working a minimum of 32 hours per week. Some weekend working is required however evening work will be on occasion only - perfect to enjoy cooking whilst maintaining a work-life balance! Pay for this role starts from £13.45 per hour, dependent on experience. About the role You will be: * preparing, cooking and baking items from our breakfast and lunch menu * ensuring the quality of dishes are of a high standard on all occasions * maintaining good stock control and storage of food, equipment and cleaning items * adhering to food safety procedures at all times * ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen About You You will: * have excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills * have knowledge of food allergies cook safe * have a passion for sourcing and utilising local fresh ingredients and making dishes from scratch * experience of working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen where food is made to order * attention to detail in the presentation of food and commitment to quality * enthusiasm for discovering new food trends and contributing ideas to the daily ‘specials’ items and menu changes About Us Founded in 1797, Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative, luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the world’s finest fibres.
