What you’ll do
Right now, we are looking for a Construction Manager for our Construction team. In this role you will report to our Head of Site
Execution and work within our Project Delivery function. The team is responsible for executing construction activities on site,
ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery across multiple work fronts.
As Construction Manager, you will drive day-to-day field execution within your assigned area. You will coordinate contractors,
ensure work readiness, and maintain momentum on site while resolving issues and keeping teams aligned with project priorities.
Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos
between teams, other tasks might be included as well.

Stegra is on a mission to change the global steel industry by producing green hydrogen, iron, and steel - with the goal of
eliminating CO₂ emissions. Instead of coal, we use green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity, meaning our primary emissions will
be water and heat.
By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitized, and sustainable

Placement: Boden What you’ll do Right now, we are looking for an Area Manager Water Treatment Plant for our Project Delivery team. In this role you will report to our Area Director Green Steel and work within our Project Delivery function. The team is responsible for delivering one of the world's most advanced industrial projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution across all project phases. As Area Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the Water Treatment Plant area, leading delivery from construction through commissioning and handover. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage EPCM partners, OEMs, and contractors, and ensure the area is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well. * Own the delivery of the Water Treatment Plant area, including scope, quality, schedule, and budget * Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate EPCM partners, OEMs, and contractors to ensure aligned execution * Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements and industry best practices * Develop and execute area strategies, work packages, and procurement plans in collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Managers * Manage area budgets, forecasts, priorities, and resource allocation across multiple work packages * Oversee area schedules and remove execution constraints through structured lookahead planning * Monitor performance, risks, productivity, and project controls data to support informed decision-making * Coordinate interfaces with adjacent areas, utilities, and shared services while driving collaboration across the project What you’ll bring You’re curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. In this role, you will work closely with procurement, maintenance, engineering, and production teams to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of mechanical spare parts and materials. This is a key role in supporting our ramp-up, where your work will directly contribute to minimizing downtime, enabling operational stability, and building a scalable procurement foundation for long-term operations. You will take ownership of developing how we manage spare parts, suppliers, and contracts in a completely new industrial setup — helping us build something from the ground up. About the Role As Central Cost Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and insightfulness of cost performance across one of Europe’s most ambitious industrial projects. Sitting within the Central Project Controls Function, this role provides governance and oversight across the programme - setting standards, supporting delivery teams, and ensuring the accuracy of cost data that informs strategic decisions. You will own cost control frameworks and tools, guide embedded project teams, and act as a key interface between cost engineering, planning, risk, and finance. Contract Type: 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract Location: Boden Reports To: Head of Central Project Controls Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and own Stegra’s cost control standards, tools, templates, and procedures. * Provide independent oversight of cost performance across all delivery areas, identifying variances, trends, and risks. * Ensure a single, reliable source of cost data is maintained across the project lifecycle. * Govern and coordinate the cost aspects of the integrated change control process, ensuring cross-functional impact assessments. * Support Area Cost Leads in applying consistent cost methodologies and reporting standards. * Provide training and guidance to cost control staff across the project. * Produce consolidated cost dashboards and insights for Stegra leadership and the Project Improvement Unit. * Drive continuous improvement in cost management systems, processes, and practices. * Deploy cost resources into delivery areas when additional support is required. * Manages the end‑to‑end change control process across all disciplines, ensuring changes are assessed, coordinated, and implemented. * Own the change control framework, standards, workflows, and templates for the entire project. * Ensure all proposed changes are assessed for impacts across cost, schedule, risk, and interfaces. * Support area teams to embed effective change control practices. What We’re Looking For * ~15 years of experience in cost control within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, ideally under EPCM contracts. * Deep understanding of cost management frameworks, including AACE and PMI standards. * Proven experience working across interfaces such as engineering, procurement, construction, quality, and planning. * Strong proficiency in cost control tools and reporting systems, including Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasting, and KPIs. * Demonstrated ability to lead in complex, fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities. * Strong communication and influencing skills; capable of working cross-functionally and supporting executive-level decisions. * A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of structure, integrity, and accountability.
