About the Team The Solution Engineer team at VTEX is a core part of the sales organization, acting as both the technical backbone and strategic advisor throughout the pre-sales process. This team collaborates closely with Sales, System Integrators, and Professional Services to design scalable, future-proof solutions that meet the unique needs of each potential client. Team members combine strong software development and system architecture skills with a deep understanding of digital commerce and a sales-driven, business-oriented mindset. The team operates in a fast-paced, knowledge-driven environment where autonomy, curiosity, and continuous learning are essential. Solution Engineers are expected to proactively seek out knowledge and stay current with the VTEX platform's evolving capabilities. Their mission is to identify client pain-points, goals and transform them into tangible, long-term business outcomes through technically sound and innovative solutions. About the Role As a Solution Engineer at VTEX, you will be a key player in the sales process, working alongside Account Executives to support technical discovery, solution design, and client alignment throughout the pre-sales journey. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with strong knowledge of commerce (both B2B and B2C) being essential to succeed. You will engage directly with senior IT and business stakeholders, guiding them through complex digital transformation discussions and crafting tailored, technically feasible solutions that address both strategic goals and operational challenges. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating the VTEX platform and its capabilities, responding to RFPs, developing technical documentation, building proof of concepts (PoCs), and leading technical conversations through to contract signature. Once the deal is closed, you will facilitate a thorough handover of project context and documentation to the Customer Experience (CX) team to ensure a smooth implementation. This role is ideal for a self-driven, solution-oriented professional who is passionate about digital commerce and excited by the opportunity to shape transformative commerce experiences for enterprise clients. *For this position you are required to attend the office 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday), and remote work on Friday. YOUR MISSION As the first Pre-sales Solution Consultant at Pivot, your mission is to craft solutions that align customer needs with our product’s strengths, empower sales through technical expertise, and protect the business by guiding prospects with clarity, creativity, and trust. YOUR ROLE Pre-sales & Technical enablement * Design and deliver scalable innovative demo models. * Own RFI/RFP/InfoSec responses, prospect meetings, and technical workshops, ideally utilising tools such as Claude to build agents that augment the current process. * Interpret complex technical, security, or IT requirements, aligning them with our platform strengths while identifying risks. * Build and maintain a best-in-class demo environment, tailored content, and technical evaluations. * Anticipate and address customer- or industry-specific technical concerns with empathy and precision. * Facilitate communication between IT and business stakeholders across prospects, customers, and internal teams.
