Musixmatch is the leading music metadata company, featuring the world’s largest lyrics catalog and a community of over 80M contributors. Musixmatch is the trusted global partner of companies like Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, Meta, Google, YouTube, Tidal, and Snapchat and works with nearly 4,000 music publishing rightsholders (representing more than 225,000 songwriters), including Sony Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing, Warner/Chappell, Kobalt, BMG Rights, and the Harry Fox Agency.
We are a bunch of creatives who care about our work and what we do. We believe that participation and collaboration are key to getting things done well. We are looking for tech-savvy people who are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, who have an international outlook on life, and who love taking on new challenges.
We are looking for an AI-First Product Manager to join our Catalog team. In this role, you will own and evolve the internal and external tools that power Musixmatch's music catalog operations, from lyrics ingestion and metadata enrichment to rights management and content quality workflows. You will work at the intersection of AI, music data, and product thinking, helping us build smarter, faster, and more scalable catalog infrastructure.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thinks natively with AI tools, is comfortable in ambiguous environments, and is excited to shape how the world's music metadata is organized, enriched, and delivered.
Own the product roadmap for catalog tools, including ingestion pipelines, metadata editors, quality control dashboards, and rights attribution interfaces, prioritizing features based on impact and feasibility.
Design and iterate on AI-assisted workflows that help our editorial and operations teams process, enrich, and validate music metadata at scale.
Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and content operations to define requirements, write specs, and ship product improvements in fast cycles.
Identify bottlenecks in catalog workflows through data analysis and direct user research with internal teams (editors, rights managers, curators).
Experiment with and integrate LLM-based tools, prompt engineering, and automation into catalog product features, staying ahead of what AI can do in this space.
Monitor key catalog quality and operational KPIs, using data to drive decisions and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Work with partner-facing teams to understand how catalog data quality impacts downstream integrations with Musixmatch partners
Contribute to defining best practices for AI-first product development within Musixmatch
1-3 years of experience in product management, product operations, or a closely related role (internships and strong side projects count).
A genuine AI-first mindset: you regularly use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Replit and other vibe coding tools) in your daily work and think instinctively about how to apply them to product problems.
Ability to write clear product specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, communicating requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort working with data: you can query basic metrics, interpret dashboards, and use data to justify product decisions.
Strong analytical and structured thinking skills: you break down complex problems into actionable steps.
Good communication skills in English (written and spoken); Italian is a plus.
Interest in music, music technology, or the music industry is a strong plus.
Experience with metadata, content ops, or catalog systems (music, publishing, e-commerce, or similar domains).
Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, or LLM-based product features.
Exposure to tools like Jira, Coda, Mixpanel similar PM/analytics tooling.
Basic SQL or Python skills for data exploration.
Experience working in or with music rightsholders, DSPs, or publishing companies.
Knowledge of music rights structures (mechanical, sync, performance) and how they relate to metadata.
A front-row seat to how AI is transforming music metadata and content operations at global scale.
High ownership from day one: this is a role where your decisions ship to production.
A collaborative, international team that values curiosity, speed, and craft.
Flexible hybrid work environment based in Bologna, Italy.
Continuous learning culture with access to the latest AI tools and research.
The gross annual base salary for this role is €25,000-€30,000. The package includes a variable performance bonus tied to individual and company goals, plus a flexible welfare credit to use on the benefits that matter most to you.
At Sanity.io, we're building the future of AI-powered Content Operations. Our AI Content Operating System gives teams the freedom to model, create, and automate content the way their business works, accelerating digital development and supercharging content operations efficiency. Companies like SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, Anthropic, COMPLEX, Nordstrom, and Morningbrew are using Sanity to power and automate their content operations. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product vision of Content Agent and working closely with your engineering team and the wider business to deliver a reliable, extensible AI operations experience for our customers. Content Agent works across Sanity's Dashboard, Studio, Slack, and as a headless API — giving content teams the ability to operate at scale through conversation, automation, and agent-driven workflows. A critical part of this role is the craft of building for agents: designing cognitive architectures, writing agent instructions, and shaping how AI systems reason about structured content. This is not a role where AI is a feature you manage — it is the product, and you need to understand how it thinks. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: * Craft the vision and roadmap for Content Agent — Sanity's AI operations layer for content at scale * Design agent behaviors and define how agents decompose complex content operations, handle ambiguity, and earn user trust * Define and evolve the trust and quality model — staged changes, review flows, error rates, and cost efficiency * Drive the extensibility strategy, enabling customers and partners to extend the agent through tools, skills, and integrations * Write and refine agent instructions, system prompts, and behavioral specifications as core product work * Collaborate with leaders across engineering, design, and solution engineering to shape your product solutions * Bring clarity and simplicity to complex AI systems, delivering reliable and intuitive experiences for content teams * Measure and monitor agent effectiveness, building feedback loops and metrics to improve quality systematically * Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies and align Content Agent with the broader Sanity platform ABOUT YOU: * Located in London or Oslo * You have a proven track record as a product manager, with experience working with platforms, data-oriented products, and developer frameworks * You have real experience with AI agents and LLM-based systems — cognitive architecture, prompt engineering, agent instruction design, and reliability patterns. You've shipped AI products where you had to think about how the system reasons, not just what it outputs * You are comfortable with JSON, API design, and technical product development * You understand structured content or can learn it quickly — schemas, references, validation rules, and how they shape what an agent can do * You place client empathy at the forefront of your work, understanding the challenges and needs of content teams and large enterprises * You communicate clearly, advocate for customer needs, and lead cross-functional teams towards innovative solutions * You balance immediate needs with long-term vision to strategically prioritize your domain WHAT WE CAN OFFER: * A highly-skilled, inspiring, and supportive team * Positive, flexible, and trust-based work environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth * A global, multi-culturally diverse group of colleagues and customers * Comprehensive health plans and perks * A healthy work-life balance that accommodates individual and family needs * Competitive stock options program and location-based salary WHO WE ARE: Sanity.io is a modern, flexible content operating system that replaces rigid legacy content management systems. One of our big differentiators is treating content as data so that it can be stored in a single source of truth, but seamlessly adapted and personalized for any channel without extra effort. Forward-thinking companies choose Sanity because they can create tailored content authoring experiences, customized workflows, and content models that reflect their business. Sanity recently raised a $85m Series C led by GP Bullhound and is also backed by leading investors like ICONIQ Growth, Threshold Ventures, Heavybit and Shopify, as well as founders of companies like Vercel, WPEngine, Twitter, Mux, Netlify and Heroku. This funding round has put Sanity in a strong position for accelerated growth in the coming years. You can only build a great company with a great culture. Sanity is a 200+ person company with highly committed and ambitious people. We are pioneers, we exist for our customers, we are hel ved, and we love type two fun! Read more about our values here! Sanity.io pledges to be an organization that reflects the globally diverse audience that our product serves. We believe that in addition to hiring the best talent, a diversity of perspectives, ideas, and cultures leads to the creation of better products and services. At Sanity.io, we’re building the future of AI-powered Content Operations. Sanity Content Agent is where AI meets structured content - an intelligent assistant that deeply understands each customer's content model, follows references like an experienced team member, and combines web research with internal content knowledge in a single conversation. Sanity is uniquely positioned for this moment: we already have a scaled Content Lake holding our customers' structured content, which becomes rich context that generic AI tools simply can't match. Your team will push the boundaries of what's possible when AI truly understands content: auditing thousands of documents in seconds, surfacing inconsistencies before customers do, and generating perfectly structured documents that respect complex validation rules. With a strong and growing team of 4 engineers and room to scale as the product grows, you'll shape the AI capabilities that turn hours of content work into minutes. You'll balance the technical challenges of LLM integration and agentic workflows with the product sensibility to make AI that content teams actually trust. Learn more about the team’s products here, here and here. This role requires a good grasp of web fundamentals and toolchains and an understanding of how the modern web works. We also seek someone with strong organizational and planning skills. Leading an engineering team at Sanity is about working with the product manager and designer of the team, to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution. This is achieved by working with great people and creating an environment where your team can shine. As a senior engineering management leader, you’ll be responsible for growing a strong and engaged team to meet these challenges. WHAT YOU WOULD DO: * Helping a team of talented engineers to organize and prioritize their work for the highest impact. * Balance technical excellence with shipping velocity in a fast-moving environment. * Experience working at a product/SaaS company. * Champion developer experience while building for non-technical content creators. * Influencing the direction of both Sanity and of modern web development and content operations. * Work closely with the Head of Engineering, along with leadership in product management and design, to facilitate teamwork and establish processes that can scale as we do. * Supporting the growth and development of your team and team members. ABOUT YOU: * Based in London, UK, or Oslo, Norway, and able to work at least 2-3 days per week in the office. * 1+ years of engineering management experience & 4+ years of engineering experience, ideally in developer tools or content platforms * Strong technical background in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web technologies * Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in product direction * Working knowledge of prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and techniques for improving model reliability * Understanding of embedding models, vector search, and how to ground AI outputs in structured data * Ability to distinguish AI capabilities that genuinely solve user problems from those that just demo well * Track record of shipping user-facing products at scale * Experience leading teams building complex, extensible applications * An ability to understand software architecture design considerations Not sure you’re exactly what we’re looking for in this role? Apply anyway! WHAT WE CAN OFFER: * A highly-skilled, inspiring, and supportive team * Positive, flexible, and trust-based work environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth * A global, multi-culturally diverse group of colleagues and customers * Comprehensive health plans and perks * A healthy work-life balance that accommodates individual and family needs * Competitive salary and stock options program WHO WE ARE: Sanity.io is a modern, flexible content operating system that replaces rigid legacy content management systems. WHO YOU ARE Builder First * You are passionate about building products and turning ideas into reality. * You regularly use AI tools to accelerate your work and are excited about the future of AI-native product development. * You are comfortable creating prototypes, workflows, mock implementations, or technical proofs of concept yourself. * You believe that reducing the distance between an idea and customer validation is a competitive advantage. Strong Product Thinker * You have experience leading product strategy and execution for complex software products. * You can balance long-term vision with pragmatic decision-making and fast iteration. * You understand how to identify customer problems worth solving and translate them into successful products. AI-Native Mindset * You have strong knowledge of modern AI technologies and concepts, including large language models, agents, tool calling, MCPs (Model Context Protocol), retrieval systems, AI workflows, and emerging development paradigms. * You understand both the opportunities and limitations of AI systems and can apply them thoughtfully to real customer problems. * You actively experiment with new tools and techniques to improve product outcomes. Technically Curious * You are comfortable discussing technical architecture, APIs, integrations, developer workflows, and platform capabilities. * You can effectively collaborate with engineers and make informed product tradeoffs. * Previous experience with developer platforms, content management systems, AI products, or enterprise SaaS is a strong plus. Customer Obsessed * You have a deep curiosity about how users work and what drives successful outcomes. * You seek direct customer feedback and use it to inform product decisions. * You care about solving real problems rather than simply shipping features. Exceptional Communicator * You can clearly articulate product strategy, priorities, and tradeoffs across technical and non-technical audiences. * You build alignment across engineering, design, and leadership stakeholders. * You can write concise, effective product narratives that inspire action. * You can speak and present fluently in English to drive influence Preferred Experience * Experience building CMS, developer platform, AI, productivity, or enterprise SaaS products. * Familiarity with modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Spec Kit, or similar platforms. * Experience working in fast-paced product organizations where experimentation and iteration are core operating principles. * Knowledge of digital experience platforms, headless CMS architectures, content operations, or commerce technologies is a plus.
