Introduction Rider Safety has moved beyond concept validation and is now entering a global scaling phase. We have established customer traction, commercial agreements and a validated market opportunity. We are now looking for a strategic sales leader who wants to help build the customer base, convert market interest into revenue and scale the next generation of rider safety solutions globally. At Autoliv, our purpose is clear: Saving More Lives. As the global leader in automotive safety, we are expanding our safety expertise beyond traditional vehicle safety systems and into rider protection. This role is a rare opportunity to join a growth business at exactly the right time: after market validation, but before large-scale global expansion. Business context Rider Safety is a full-system safety solution designed to protect motorcycle and powered two-wheeler riders. The offering combines airbag-integrated garments such as vests and jackets, motorcycle integration, hardware including airbag systems, sensors and ECU technology, and a digital ecosystem with application and data capabilities. The result is an integrated end-to-end safety solution for riders. The business has already achieved important milestones: early customer traction, commercial agreements already in place, and clear validation of customer interest and market demand. We are now entering the next phase: transforming an emerging business into a scalable global commercial success. The Role Your mission is to lead global strategic sales for Rider Safety. This is a hands-on commercial role focused on building trusted customer relationships, developing opportunities, driving deals forward and converting validated market interest into scalable revenue. You will work closely with the Director for Rider Safety, the Business Architect and the broader team to turn growth direction into customer conversations, qualified opportunities, proposals, negotiations and closed agreements. The role requires speed, continuous learning, sales momentum and practical commercial structure as the business scales. Responsibilities * Lead global strategic sales for Rider Safety, from target identification and outreach to opportunity development, negotiation and deal closure. * Build and manage a qualified pipeline of strategic customers, partners and regional opportunities, converting interest into proposals, pilots, agreements and revenue. * Own key customer dialogues and build trusted relationships with decision makers, technical influencers and commercial stakeholders. * Translate customer needs, objections and buying signals into clear internal priorities with product, engineering, legal, finance, regional teams and leadership. * Develop scalable sales processes, engagement materials, qualification logic and commercial playbooks. * Represent Rider Safety in customer meetings, executive discussions, commercial reviews, negotiations and internal forums. * Use customer feedback and deal learnings to refine pricing, packaging, partnerships and go-to-market execution. Candidate profile We are looking for a senior sales leader with strong commercial instincts, disciplined execution and the ability to build something new while personally driving customer conversion. Required * Proven experience in technical B2B sales, strategic account development, business development or commercialization of innovative technologies. * Strong track record of building pipeline, developing opportunities, managing complex sales cycles and closing strategic agreements. * Experience selling or commercializing solutions combining hardware, software, data, services or connected products. * International B2B sales experience in a global corporate environment, with strong cross-cultural relationship-building skills. * Ability to thrive in ambiguity, create sales structure and turn customer interest into commercial outcomes. * Strong ability to influence without authority and align engineering, product, commercial, regional and leadership stakeholders. * Fluent English, willingness to travel internationally and confidence engaging senior customers, technical stakeholders and decision makers. Meriting * Experience from mobility, automotive, connected products, wearable technology, protective equipment or adjacent industries. * Experience with customer discovery, rapid learning, iterative development and early-stage commercialization. * Experience across both entrepreneurial and corporate environments. Success factors Success requires strong sales capability, commercial ownership and the ability to create momentum in an emerging market. The right person is entrepreneurial, curious, hands-on, collaborative, pragmatic, resilient and self-driven, with a natural ability to turn conversations into qualified opportunities, decisions and action. You will need to balance speed and customer responsiveness with disciplined sales execution. The ability to navigate uncertainty, align global stakeholders, bridge customer needs with internal execution and keep deals moving will be critical. Why join us This is an opportunity to scale a new category in rider safety and create direct customer impact. You will join a business with customer interest, commercial traction and global ambition, helping shape customer engagement, opportunity structure and repeatable sales execution. You will work with customers, industry leaders and internal experts across engineering, product, commercial and leadership teams, combining startup pace and ownership with Autoliv’s credibility, resources and global reach. If you want to build customer momentum, close strategic opportunities and help bring rider safety solutions to market, this role offers real commercial impact. More lives saved – more life lived.
