✨ WHAT AWAITS YOU HERE: As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will help us make Braiins Pool and related products faster, safer, and smoother to develop, deploy, and operate. You will work close to backend, frontend, support, and platform teams to improve deployment pipelines, Kubernetes-based delivery, observability, incident handling, internal tooling, and developer experience. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys connecting systems, automation, reliability, and practical software development. The role can lean more toward deployment automation, CI/CD, SRE practices, backend tooling, or support enablement depending on your strengths. 🤝 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Improve reliability, operability, and deployment quality of Braiins Pool and related services. * Maintain and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, deployment automation, and feedback loops from commit to production. * Work with Kubernetes, Docker, service configuration, secrets, runtime environments, and deployment templates in cooperation with the platform team. * Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response workflows, and post-incident learning. * Build or improve internal tools that help developers, QA, support, and operations work faster and with fewer manual steps. * Help product teams improve local development, testing, deployment safety, release confidence, and production readiness. * Collaborate with support and engineering teams to diagnose production issues and turn recurring problems into automation, documentation, or better tooling. * Contribute to operational runbooks, deployment standards, CI/CD conventions, and shared engineering practices. * Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, implementation, testing, documentation, automation, and delivery while keeping strong human ownership, review, security, and production quality. 🔎 WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH: * Mid/Senior experience in SRE, DevOps, production operations, backend tooling, or a similar engineering role. * Strong practical experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and production service operations. * Ability to reason about reliability, latency, observability, deployment risk, operational complexity, and supportability. * Good scripting or development skills; enough backend understanding to build tooling, debug services, and improve automation. * Experience improving developer experience, deployment flows, support tooling, or internal operational processes. * Ownership mindset, good communication, and ability to work across development, support, QA, and platform teams. * Willingness to learn our product domain, internal stack, and Bitcoin mining context. 💪 NICE TO HAVE: * Experience with Rust, Python, or TypeScript-based internal tooling. * Experience with Prometheus/Grafana, Sentry, OpenTelemetry, tracing, SLOs, incident management, or production-readiness reviews. * Experience with gRPC/Protocol Buffers, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Consul, Vault, or service discovery patterns. * Experience creating tools for support, QA, operations, or development teams. * Experience in Bitcoin, mining, fintech, infrastructure, or other high-availability domains 🏖 WHAT WE OFFER TO YOU: * Full-time position with flexible working hours. * Possibility to work as an Employee or Freelance. * Indefinite agreement. * For employees, 5 weeks of vacation and 3 sick days. * Company events and weekly Braiins brunches in the office. * Relaxing room, a shower, and a shared parking spot. * Modern offices in the center of Prague, Czech Republic - the heart of Europe. * Work on long-term products in an interesting area of the Bitcoin industry. 🔥 WE WILL LOVE YOU EVEN MORE IF… * You enjoy reducing toil and turning repeated manual work into simple automation. * You have experience in Bitcoin, mining, fintech, infrastructure, or other high-availability domains. * You are interested in AI-assisted engineering workflows and can use them responsibly.

BRAIINS FORGE: Embedded Linux Engineer

Join us on our adventure and help bring life to all awesome products we are working on! 🛠️ EXAMPLES OF A TYPICAL PROBLEMS: * Add or modify some packages in the OpenWrt based system. * Develop a new linux kernel driver for MIPI display. * Add device tree nodes for new hardware peripherals. * Fix fan control algorithm in Rust code. * Find a solution for controlling smart led strip, create a Rust crate for it. * Integrate Wayland compositor into OpenWRT. * Test script to inspect and flash hardware during the production. 🦀!Rust experience is not required!🦀 🔎 WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS: * Familiar with Git and Linux. * Experienced with Unix Shell (Bash). * Capable of working in C/C++. * Experienced with Embedded programming. It is not assumed that you would work on another system. * Rust - in the current project it is the primary language. * Bash - this language is not our priority and most of the time we do not use it, but it is supported by the built-in Linux distribution so we expect some knowledge from you (grep, sed, awk, ...). * C - there will not be any future development in this language, but you should know it at least at the level of understanding the code. * Gdb - knowledge of general principles and the ability to debug applications on a remote system using a gdb server. * Git (GitLab, GitHub) - used for versioning and managing source code. You should be familiar with the Pull/Merge Request Policy and Code Review. * Cross-compilations - general knowledge of translation issues for different architectures (ARM). * Embedded protocols - basic overview of communication protocols GPIO, I2C, SPI, USART, MIPI and their use in Linux at the application level. The advantage is an understanding of their functioning at the kernel level, where occasional intervention in their functioning is expected. * JTAG / Logic Analyzer - HW debugging capability is welcome, but not required. * Nix - our build system and CI pipelines are written in Nix flakes. * Ghidra - usually the go to software for any reverse engineering tasks. You’ll work in a product team that values clean UI, strong performance, and reliable data visualization.
