Our Sportsbook AI/ML Team is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to make a difference in the design and further development of AI and Machine Learning solutions for both internal and external business needs. We have a world-class Sportsbook, developed in-house by our dedicated Sportsbook tech team and growing at a very rapid rate, expanding not only in new markets but also as a B2B product. Having our product available in different parts of the world and offering sports all around the world requires to have support around the clock. Our Product Development organisation is truly Global with cross functional teams spanning many Tech Hubs. THE WOW From Architecture to Trading teams, our Sportsbook is an in-house platform that also hosts brand offerings for customers. From the tools traders use to the cutting-edge features available for betting on various sports, these teams are the backbone making it all possible. The goal is to deliver top performance, functionality, and user experience in the iGaming industry. As part of our Sportsbook tech team, a high performance, throughout and availability product serving many brands (20+), you will be key in ensuring that the team delivers the required business value.   A TASTER OF WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH:  * Maintaining and evolving our AI/ML projects using Python * Build design Agentic LLM based solutions and maintain/improve existing ones * Ensure output quality by verifying consistency and accuracy * Investigate, assess, and develop cloud based MCP solutions * Comfortable working under Agile Framework (Scrum 2-week iterations) * Have an investigative mindset to be able to troubleshoot and being creative when it comes to troubleshooting problems and incident management * Document necessary processes and procedures (creating KBs, runbooks, topology etc) * Taking full ownership of projects and tasks with being able to work within the team * Work closely with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely insights to our business partners   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Solid experience with Python and OOP * Experience with tools like Langchain, Langraph, Langsmith, FastAPI, Opensearch, Redis/Valkey, Pandas, Pytorch, spacy * Confident with LLMs and their evaluation practices and knowing /having some background on AI agentic tools, skills, workflows * Demonstrated experience with RAG systems, Vector embeddings, knowledge graphs * Confident with Amazon Web Services or similar cloud environments and having some experience with MLOps * Familiar with software versioning tools like Git * Additional programming skills, Prompt Engineering will be a plus * Experience in sportsbook/betting or fintech sectors is considered a plus * Continuous learning mindset * Can effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects * Excellent verbal and written English communication skills   WHAT WE OFFER   * Monthly Allowance for Lunch * Private & Life Plan Insurance for you and your family * Team Building Budget * Annual Wellness Allowance * Corporate Travel Insurance * Events and initiatives both Local (Quarterly Meetings) and Global * Professional Development Programs & Internal Career Opportunities * Milestone Birthday Much like riding a rollercoaster, sometimes life at Betsson can be lightning fast with twists and turns but always FUN! About the Role You'll build the core agent infrastructure that powers Sana's mission to bring superintelligence to work. This is a greenfield opportunity to define how AI agents plan, reason, and execute across enterprise environments—building systems that reliably handle real-world complexity at scale. You'll work at the intersection of agent architecture, context-, tool- and prompt engineering, and production infrastructure. In this role, you will Architect multi-step planning, orchestration, and tool routing for agents Implement code generation agents and sandboxed code execution Engineer memory, state, and context packing/grounding strategies Balance latency, quality, and cost controls for agent execution Develop safe fallbacks, graceful degradation and robust error handling Collaborate with platform and search teams to deliver reusable agent infrastructure Establish safety guarantees and measurable quality improvements About You Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of software engineering experience building production backend or platform systems. 3+ years of experience in TypeScript, with a strong track record of writing reliable, maintainable services. 3+ years of experience with distributed systems, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and service-oriented architecture. 3+ years of experience designing systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, observability, and maintainability. Other Qualifications: Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in production. Experience building agent platforms or AI infrastructure. Deep understanding of the low-level details of the OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic LLM APIs, including tool calling, system prompt caching, etc. Familiarity with LLM application patterns, including tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), memory and context management, multi-step orchestration, and human-in-the-loop systems. Experience building and running machine learning systems in production, including compiling training and test datasets, building training pipelines, evaluating models, and detecting and handling drift (neural networks, Gaussian models, Thompson sampling, etc.). Experience designing evaluation frameworks for LLM or agent quality and safety, including hands-on use of platforms such as Langfuse or LangSmith. Familiarity with vector databases, prompt and context engineering, and experimentation tooling. Experience working with sandbox environments such as Modal, and designing strict access control models to keep user data safe and encrypted at all times. Experience running services in Kubernetes-based environments on GCP or equivalent cloud platforms. Comfort working with Postgres and Redis in high-throughput, low-latency service contexts. Contributions to open source TypeScript projects. Ability to navigate ambiguity, make strong technical tradeoffs, and drive projects from concept to production. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across engineering, product, and AI research teams.
