As part of the Cloud Video Framework team, you will develop backend solutions that enable high-performance video experiences, working with core audio/video technologies, media processing, codecs, streaming, and low-latency systems. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong C++ skills, a curious mindset, and a passion for solving real-world problems in high-pressure environments. Whether you’re optimising multithreaded code for live encoding, interfacing with video hardware, or building scalable tooling systems, you’ll be making a direct impact on how fans, players, officials, and broadcasters experience sport.     What You'll Be Doing * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement components for our systems and tooling platforms * You will work on developing and optimizing cloud video frameworks, including audio/video processing, streaming technologies, low-latency systems, and scalable cloud-based media solutions * Taking part in field testing and supporting deployments at live sporting events * Partnering with product teams and customers to refine and deliver the best solutions * Championing high code quality and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement * Leading technical discussions and contributing to architectural and design decisions * Mentoring and supporting junior and mid-level engineers   What We're Looking For * Proficiency in modern C++ (ideally up to C++20) * Experience writing multithreaded, performance-optimised code * Familiarity with tools like Git, Visual Studio, and debugging workflows * Experience with networking (TCP/IP stack, streaming protocols) is required. Our mission is to streamline the claims process, reducing costs, enhancing the customer experience, and empowering our operational team to reach their full potential. Three engineering teams specialize in the First party, Third party and Fraud verticals. Currently, we are in the process of developing our cutting-edge internal Claims Management System (CMS). This application is designed to seamlessly guide insurance claims from inception to resolution. It handles every facet of the claims process (internal, external, customer-facing), integrating with partners as well as the financial reporting. As a Data Engineer, you are expected to deliver (across industries) on some of our most complex projects - individually or by leading small delivery teams. Although we work for the biggest multinational companies where years-long behemoth projects are the norm, our projects are fast-paced, typically 2 to 4 months long. The majority are delivered using Apache Spark/Databricks on AWS/Azure and require you to directly manage the customer relationship, alone or along with a Project Manager. Additionally, at this seniority level, we expect you to compound your impact across the team and the organization - by mentoring more junior engineers, evaluating the quality of their work, and contributing to hiring best-in-class data engineers. What does it take to fit the bill? * Consultant mindset & passion for customer experience - you prioritize your work with the customer in mind and you seek to advise (rather than purely execute) your customers on the best-in-class technical solutions; * Excellent communication & presentation skills - you can adjust your communication style, and articulate complex, technical concepts to all types of audiences; * Solid software engineering foundations - you are a stack-agnostic senior software engineer, have significant experience working on Unix/Linux, and a strong understanding of how Distributed Systems work.
