WHAT YOU WILL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES) : * Design, build, and deploy AI agents and AI-enabled services. ● Translate business workflows into automated and AI-assisted systems. ● Integrate LLMs with internal platforms, APIs, and data sources. ● Start with rules and automation. Add AI only where it adds clear value. ● Develop AI services using Python and modern backend frameworks. ● Own model quality, evaluation, versioning, and observability. ● Design feedback loops to continuously improve AI output quality. ● Define accuracy targets, confidence thresholds, and human review paths. ● Monitor production systems for failures, drift, and edge cases. ● Optimize inference cost, latency, and reliability. ● Instrument systems to measure usage, accuracy, and operational impact. ● Collaborate with ML Engineers and Data teams where model training or data pipelines are required. ● Ensure AI systems comply with PDPL, security, and responsible AI practices. ● Design explainable AI behaviors and human-in-the-loop workflows to build trust. ● Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and other teams. ● Document system behavior, trade-offs, and limitations clearly. ● Apply AI tools to improve software delivery efficiency, quality, and reliability where there is clear impact. ● Partner with Engineering to evaluate and apply targeted AI-assisted tooling across the SDLC. WHO YOU ARE (QUALIFICATIONS) :  ● 5+ years in applied AI or AI engineering roles. ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. ● Strong Python skills with production backend experience. ● Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt design, and agent frameworks. ● Experience with vector databases and retrieval systems. ● Experience evaluating AI outputs and improving accuracy over time. ● Experience deploying AI services on cloud platforms. ● Strong data handling and debugging skills. ● Experience integrating APIs and internal systems. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:  ● Python and FastAPI. ● LLMs, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration. ● Vector databases such as Pinecone or equivalents. ● Model evaluation and quality monitoring. ● Workflow automation tools such as n8n or similar. ● API design and system integration. ● PostgreSQL and basic data modeling. ● GitHub, Docker, and Terraform. ● Basic GCP or AWS services for deployment and monitoring. ● Understanding of security, PDPL, and responsible AI handling. This role is responsible for driving complex AI engineering workstreams while also supporting the growth, enablement, and effectiveness of AI engineering practitioners on the team. The Senior AI Engineer shapes implementation strategy, supports delivery planning and quality, and serves as a trusted partner to internal and client stakeholders on AI-enabled applications, orchestration patterns, workflow integration, and practical adoption. You will thrive in this role if you are:  * A curious problem solver who challenges the status quo  * A collaborator who values teamwork and knowledge-sharing  * Excited by the intersection of technology, creativity and data  * Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)  Role responsibilities * • Drive complex AI engineering workstreams across multiple business areas, use cases, products, or stakeholder groups. • Define AI engineering approaches that align business goals, workflow opportunities, orchestration patterns, integration requirements, and measurable implementation outcomes. • Translate ambiguous stakeholder needs into structured implementation plans, workflow logic, prompt orchestration, retrieval patterns, tool-calling approaches, and solution recommendations. • Guide the implementation of AI-enabled applications, agents, assistant-style experiences, and workflow components that connect models to practical business processes. • Establish and reinforce best practices for prompt orchestration, tool use, context handling, retrieval flow, API integration, workflow composition, response processing, testing, and code quality. • Design and improve reusable implementation patterns for use cases such as summarization, extraction, question answering, search augmentation, conversational support, workflow automation, grounded insight delivery, and agent-assisted task execution. • Contribute to delivery planning, prioritization discussions, and quality standards across AI engineering engagements. • Mentor, coach, and support practitioners through feedback, guidance, and performance development. • Review deliverables for clarity, technical rigor, quality, consistency, safety, and business usefulness. • Help teams improve workflow reliability, integration quality, testing discipline, and implementation reuse across projects. • Collaborate with AI Scientists, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Architects to align AI solutions with business needs, governed data access, platform realities, and technical constraints. • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, capability development, and team maturity within the AI engineering practice. • Follow established governance, privacy, safety, and responsible AI-use standards across the work of the team.   Must have qualifications * Advanced English Level * Expected to demonstrate AI-native engineering habits appropriate to an AI Engineer role, including active use of approved AI-enabled tools and workflows for AI application development, orchestration design, prompt and retrieval integration, tool-calling workflows, API integration, testing, documentation, and reusable implementation patterns. Uses AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development, improve implementation quality, draft test cases, document workflow behavior, troubleshoot integration issues, and refine reusable components while maintaining human accountability for correctness, safety, maintainability, governed data access, and production usefulness. * Strong experience in AI application development using Python, SQL, PowerShell, and REST APIs, including workflow design and structured data (JSON) processing. * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI-compatible services, Azure API Management (APIM), Cosmos DB, and Microsoft Fabric for enterprise AI and data solutions. * Experience designing and implementing LLM-enabled and agentic applications, including RAG, prompt orchestration, tool calling, embeddings, context management, and workflow evaluation. * Strong knowledge of AI solution integration, cloud-native architectures, and scalable AI application development within Microsoft ecosystems. * Experience working with Databricks, Apache Spark, and PySpark to support AI, analytics, and data engineering workflows. * Proficient with Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps for version control, collaboration, and CI/CD practices.   If you do not meet all the listed qualifications or have gaps in your experience, we still encourage you to apply. THE WOW From Architecture to Trading teams, our Sportsbook is an in-house platform that also hosts brand offerings for customers. From the tools traders use to the cutting-edge features available for betting on various sports, these teams are the backbone making it all possible. The goal is to deliver top performance, functionality, and user experience in the iGaming industry. As part of our Sportsbook tech team, a high performance, throughout and availability product serving many brands (20+), you will be key in ensuring that the team delivers the required business value.   A TASTER OF WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH:  * Maintaining and evolving our AI/ML projects using Python * Build design Agentic LLM based solutions and maintain/improve existing ones * Ensure output quality by verifying consistency and accuracy * Investigate, assess, and develop cloud based MCP solutions * Comfortable working under Agile Framework (Scrum 2-week iterations) * Have an investigative mindset to be able to troubleshoot and being creative when it comes to troubleshooting problems and incident management * Document necessary processes and procedures (creating KBs, runbooks, topology etc) * Taking full ownership of projects and tasks with being able to work within the team * Work closely with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely insights to our business partners   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Solid experience with Python and OOP * Experience with tools like Langchain, Langraph, Langsmith, FastAPI, Opensearch, Redis/Valkey, Pandas, Pytorch, spacy * Confident with LLMs and their evaluation practices and knowing /having some background on AI agentic tools, skills, workflows * Demonstrated experience with RAG systems, Vector embeddings, knowledge graphs * Confident with Amazon Web Services or similar cloud environments and having some experience with MLOps * Familiar with software versioning tools like Git * Additional programming skills, Prompt Engineering will be a plus * Experience in sportsbook/betting or fintech sectors is considered a plus * Continuous learning mindset * Can effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects * Excellent verbal and written English communication skills WHAT WE OFFER   Much like riding a rollercoaster, sometimes life at Betsson can be lightning fast with twists and turns but always FUN!
