Develop the product in collaboration with engineers, suppliers and customers Coordinate cross-functional work to ensure product quality, delivery, product cost and smooth integration of systems Create, modify, and release product documentation Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to the systems and propose solutions Secure testing and validation of the system to ensure compliance with industry standards Who you are You have a broad knowledge experience in developing electronics and writing technical requirements. We are looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support Candela’s future growth ambitions. The Role We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for Candelas Manufacturing Engineering team. You will take ownership of the serial production implementation of a multitude of electrical subsystems such as HMI Controls, High Voltage and Low Voltage Distribution, Low Voltage Cabin System, Navigation systems etc. This is a hands-on role — you’ll design processes, plan and document, but also install and test systems yourself. You’ll ensure that systems are robust, serviceable, and seamlessly integrated within Candela’s electric hydrofoiling vessels. This role involves close cross-functional collaboration with Research & Development, Production and Purchasing to turn R&D designs into reliable, Serial producible processes and designs. Your core responsibilities will include: Lead the development of electrical and electronic systems build processes and assembly processes to series- and project-build production readiness. Collaborate closely with Research & Development to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability and long-term production stability. Drive technical evaluations at system level, balancing performance, cost, risk, and production constraints. Develop and review technical documentation such as schematics, work instructions, MBOMs, wiring diagrams, test specifications, and production documentation. Participate in technical reviews, verification activities, risk analyses, and root-cause investigations. Collaborate closely with production to ensure smooth industrialization and continuous improvement of electrical systems and manufacturing processes. Ensure all electrical installations strictly adhere to specified compliance standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the electrical production domain Requirements: Experience leading industrialization of electrical and electronic systems from concept to production. Strong background in electrical systems and electronics, including system design and integration. Proven experience working closely with R&D and production of machines or complex industrial products. Experience producing and reviewing structured technical documentation for industrial products. Experience in regulated industries with high requirements on safety, reliability, and compliance. M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Marine Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in electrical and electronics development and/or industrialization. Fluent in English It would be preferred if you have: Experience of working with cad systems, preferably Catia, Experience working with PCB-based electronics, with the ability to review designs and drive architectural decisions (hands-on layout experience not required). Genuine interest in building things. About the Role As an Electrical Engineer, your main role will be to design and develop electronic boards and embedded systems (SoM) for UAVs (e.g., Flight Controllers, Companion Computers, Electronic Speed Controllers). Responsibilities * High-performance embedded system design: Define the architecture and design the physical and electrical integration of complex systems based on processors, fast memory (DDR, Flash), and peripherals (e.g. embedded computers/calculators, sensors, video processing…). * Advanced schematic and routing design: Design and develop electronic schematics, and perform board placement/routing to meet design specifications, managing fast signal constraints. * Physical integration: Collaborate with the Mechanical Department to ensure the seamless physical integration of the boards into the final product. * Sensor integration: Work closely with the GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) Department to ensure accurate and effective sensor integration. * Electromagnetic compatibility: Address and resolve EMC challenges while ensuring signal integrity. * Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in electrical and electronic boards through effective troubleshooting. * Testing and Validation: Conduct testing, integration, and performance validation of electronic boards to meet operational and design requirements.
