ABOUT THE JOB At Flatpay, we're building products that make running a business simpler. Thousands of merchants rely on our payment solutions every day. As we continue growing across our product surfaces, we're looking for a Product Designer who can turn complex merchant needs into products that are intuitive, reliable, and commercially impactful. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Flatpay Product Designer, you'll design for merchants who don't have time for clunky software. As we grow beyond point-of-sale and payments into financial services, online, and beyond, the ambition stays the same: build tools so intuitive and reliable they get out of the way and the merchant can just get on with running their business. That's how we earn trust — not by being flashy, but by being dependable, close to our customers, and genuinely on their side. It's a high bar, and it's yours to hit. What success after 3 months looks like: * Built real knowledge of merchant needs from field visits, not just secondhand notes * Shipped customer-centric designs informed by data and merchant feedback * Established a working rhythm with the PMs and engineers you partner with * Contributed to our design system rather than working around it * Become fluent in our AI prototyping process and use it to move ideas quickly * Started tracking the impact of your work and pushing the refinements that follow WHO YOU ARE How you think matters more to us than how many years you've worked or which frameworks you know. We're looking for someone curious, rigorous, and kind. Primary requirements * At least 2-4 years producing high-quality UI for web and mobile * A portfolio that shows real product-design skill: Figma and Figma components, user-centered design and research, a record of impact, and a strong eye for craft and pixel-level detail * Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team * A self-starter and a kind, supportive teammate * Fluent in English, written and verbal * On site in the Copenhagen office You likely bring * AI prototyping and design processes — using AI tools to prototype and explore ideas quickly, and to streamline the design workflow * Experience designing checkout, payment flows, lending, cash advance, or other financial-services products * Experience in the fintech/payments industry * French, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, or German is a plus DESIGN AT FLATPAY We're a small, international design team — six designers across three product domains and growing. What defines us is a genuine commitment to staying close to the people we're designing for: merchant visits, country trips, sharing early and often, and designing in the open to be inspired by and learn from each other. We make space for the bigger conversations too — not just critique of the work, but strategy, growth, and the things that shape how we design. How we work is shaped by the people who join — one designer introduced a buddy programme pairing colleagues across domains and seniority levels, and that kind of thing actually sticks here. Growth conversations are built in, kindness is a given, and there's a real seat at the table for someone who wants to help shape what this team becomes. We're also in the middle of a genuine shift in how design work happens. We've built internal AI tools that let designers prototype with our own product components in minutes, synthesise months of behavioural data into clear user stories, and run market research at scale. We've brought in external coaches, send designers to conferences, run a company hackathon twice a year, and give everyone dedicated time, an open AI budget, and a mandate to experiment. We want teammates who are genuinely curious about what AI means for the designer's craft — not someone who already knows every tool, just someone with a growth mindset and the willingness to lean in. We'll coach you on the rest. WHY FLATPAY? You'll join an ambitious, metric-driven, fast-growing fintech that believes in the power of personal connections — with our customers and with each other. You'll work on early-stage products where your design decisions have a sizeable impact on what gets built. You'll be an early member of our growing Product Design team, with the room to shape its processes, culture, and your own role. Decision paths are short, and you'll learn alongside senior leaders with over 15 years' experience. We have a modern Copenhagen office with an international, vibrant feel — free slush ice, an in-office gym, a fully equipped gamer room, and plenty of other fun things around the place. If your experience doesn't perfectly align with every point above, we'd still love to hear from you. When you apply, please share your resume and a link to a PDF or web portfolio showcasing your design work.

ABOUT THE JOB At Flatpay, we're building products that make running a business simpler. Thousands of merchants rely on our payment solutions every day. As we continue expanding our POS offering, we're looking for a Senior Product Manager who can turn complex merchant needs into products that are intuitive, reliable, and commercially impactful. We're now scaling aggressively across Europe and investing heavily in product. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a backlog from a distance. We need a product leader who enjoys spending time with customers, challenging assumptions, making difficult prioritization decisions, and working closely with engineers, designers, commercial teams, and leadership to shape the future of our POS platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll own a meaningful slice of our POS product - the software that runs the front of house for thousands of restaurants, cafés, retail stores, and salons across Europe - and be accountable for delivering outcomes, not just features. Our merchants are not procurement teams at large enterprises. They're owner-operators. That means the bar for usability, reliability, and clarity is brutally high — a confusing settings menu or a slow checkout flow costs them real sales on a Friday night. You'll spend real time in those venues, not just in Figma. Your work will include: * Defining and driving product strategy for POS solutions across multiple merchant segments * Sit with merchants and watch them work. Learn the difference between what they say in interviews and what they actually do on a busy Friday lunch. Bring those insights back into the roadmap * Translating customer insights, business objectives, and technical constraints into clear product direction * Understand the critical merchant value and plan the MVP rather than big deliveries * Working closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality solutions at pace * Using data, customer feedback, and market insights to evaluate product performance and guide decisions * Helping establish product management best practices as Flatpay continues to scale WHO YOU ARE We're less interested in whether you've worked with a specific framework and more interested in how you think and operate. We hope you are comfortable operating in a hyper-growth environment where the org chart and the roadmap both move fast. You likely bring: * 6+ years of product management experience in software, fintech, payments, POS, SaaS, or a similarly complex domain * Background launching products 0->1 and 1->10 into multiple European markets * The ability to navigate ambiguity and create clarity for teams around you * Experience working with cross-functional product development teams * Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences * A data-informed mindset without becoming data-dependent * Strong commercial instinct. You think about adoption, revenue, and unit economics, not just feature usage * Willingness to spend time in the field with merchants across our markets Bonus points if you have experience with: * Payments or acquiring * Point-of-sale systems * Merchant-facing products * Omnichannel commerce * Subscription or transaction-based business models * Familiarity with Android-based payment hardware (PAX, Ingenico, or similar) WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE After your 3 months, you have: * Built deep knowledge of merchant needs and operational realities across multiple markets * Established a clear product direction in a collaboration with other PMs and Product Director * Built deep knowledge of Flatpay product offering and identify gaps * Delivered meaningful improvements that merchants actively value * Created strong partnerships across product, engineering, design, commercial teams, and leadership * Contributed to a stronger product culture across Flatpay WHY FLATPAY? We're building in a market where reliability matters, customer expectations evolve quickly, and product decisions have a direct impact on real businesses. You'll join a company with ambitious growth plans, short decision-making paths, and the opportunity to influence products used every day by merchants across Europe. If you're excited by solving real-world problems, working closely with customers, and building products that combine software, payments, and commerce, we'd love to hear from you.
