Join our team as a Survey Field Technician, an entry-level role where you’ll gain real-world experience working alongside experienced survey professionals. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Assist with field surveys including topographic mapping, construction layout, and boundary surveys * Help set up and operate survey equipment * Perform field tasks like setting stakes, clearing lines, and recording data * Support the crew in delivering accurate, high-quality work * Maintain equipment, vehicles, and a safe job site WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Eagerness to learn and grow in a field-based role * Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills * Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs) * Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays WHY JOIN US? Atwell is seeking a Survey Field Technician to support residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects throughout the Phoenix metro area. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced survey professionals, gain hands-on field experience, and contribute to projects that help drive the growth of one of the nation's most active development markets. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Assist survey crews on residential, commercial, and land development projects throughout the Greater Phoenix area. * Perform field activities including topographic surveys, construction staking, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and as-built surveys.  * Operate and maintain modern survey equipment safely and efficiently.  * Support construction layout, monument placement, field measurements, and data collection.  * Work closely with Crew Chiefs and project teams to deliver accurate, high-quality survey data.  * Develop technical skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of land development projects. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required * High School Diploma or GED.  * Valid driver's license.  * Basic understanding of mathematics, geometry, algebra, and trigonometry.  * Ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites throughout the region.  Preferred * Previous survey experience or internship experience. * Familiarity with boundary, ALTA, topographic, or construction surveys. * CST Certification (Level I, II, or III).  WHY ATWELL? * Work on projects that directly impact the growth of Phoenix-area communities. * Learn from experienced survey professionals committed to your development. * Build valuable technical skills with opportunities for career advancement. * Join a collaborative team that values safety, quality, and professional growth.
