We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager.
This role blends sales and account management responsibilities to ensure that our customers derive maximum value from our
international payments platform.
You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, address challenges, and drive repeat transactions. By converting
leads, acquiring new clients, and following up on onboarded, inactive, and churned accounts, you will be pivotal in ensuring
customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
This is a hands-on role involving both office work in Africa market and extensive field visits across the country.

We build the teams that make our expansion across Africa possible and ensure product excellence. Operating close to the business, we support multiple African markets as well as our HQ teams in London and Paris, navigating diverse talent landscapes with a strong strategy and execution mindset. ROLE OVERVIEW As a Recruiter for the Africa Market, you will play a key role in scaling Capi’s Business, Sales, and Operations teams. You will own end-to-end recruitment for high-impact roles in a fast-growing fintech environment, partnering closely with hiring managers to deliver against ambitious hiring targets and tight timelines. This role is built for someone who: * Lives and breathes sourcing, with a strong sales mindset and a genuine love for hunting and attracting top-tier talent * Moves fast without breaking things, balancing speed with quality * Acts as a process facilitator, not a blocker * Is deeply connected to the local and regional talent market * Operates with a ready-to-activate, high-quality talent pool You will be a core execution arm of the Africa hiring strategy and will report directly to the Regional Talent Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Talent sourcing & pipeline generation * Proactively source top-tier profiles through direct outreach, referrals, communities, and local networks. * Build and maintain strong, ready-to-activate talent pipelines, with a clear focus on quality and speed. * Act as a true talent hunter, using a sales mindset to attract, engage, and convert high-potential candidates. * Stay constantly connected to the local and regional talent market, knowing who’s open, who’s moving, and who to approach next. End-to-end recruitment execution * Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake and sourcing to interviews, offer, and onboarding. * Partner closely with hiring managers to understand business needs, role priorities, and success criteria. * Drive fast, structured, and candidate-friendly hiring processes without compromising on quality. * Ensure smooth coordination across interview stages and act as the main point of contact for candidates. Candidate experience & engagement * Deliver a high-quality, transparent candidate experience at every stage of the process. * Build long-term relationships with candidates, even beyond immediate hiring needs. * Follow up rigorously, manage expectations clearly, and represent Capi as a high-standard, high-performance employer. Market Intelligence & Talent Network * Actively grow and nurture a strong personal and company talent network across Africa. * Share insights on talent availability, compensation trends, and market dynamics with the Talent team. * Participate in local events, communities, and informal networks to strengthen Capi’s employer presence. Process, Performance & Continuous Improvement * Track recruitment activity and outcomes against defined hiring targets and KPIs. * Identify bottlenecks and propose pragmatic improvements to processes, tools, and ways of working. * Contribute to hiring retrospectives and continuously raise the bar on execution and results. * Leverage modern recruitment tools and AI-driven solutions to work smarter and faster. REQUIREMENTS Experience * 3 - 5 years of recruitment experience * Proven experience in a fast-paced startup, scale-up, or high-performance agency environment (agency + in-house is a strong plus). * Demonstrated ability to hire at volume without compromising on quality. * Hands-on experience recruiting in African markets, with strong local exposure. Skills & Competencies * Fluent in English and French * Exceptional sourcing skills with a true hunter mindset and a sales-oriented approach to talent attraction. * Strong, active personal talent network across one or multiple African markets. * Deep understanding of local talent dynamics, compensation expectations, and candidate motivations. * Comfortable sourcing both active and passive candidates. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence, pitch, and close candidates. * Highly organized, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment. * Ability to move fast while keeping processes structured and candidates well-informed. * Solid stakeholder management skills with hiring managers and cross-functional teams. * Comfortable using modern recruitment tools, ATSs, and data to track and improve performance. * High standards and a strong sense of ownership and accountability. * Pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. * Naturally curious, always learning, and open to feedback and retrospectives. * A clear “raise-the-bar” mindset: quality matters, shortcuts don’t.
