The Infrastructure Team builds and maintains the core foundation that powers all Protex systems, ensuring scalable data
infrastructure, robust edge-to-cloud connectivity, and high-performance backend services. We support edge deployments for
real-time computer vision applications and deliver resilient systems to enable proactive workplace safety at global scale.
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to drive infrastructure efforts across cloud and edge environments. You’ll implement CI/CD
pipelines, design and implement scalable observability systems, and drive system reliability across globally distributed
environments. You'll help shape a seamless developer experience, maintain environment parity (Dev, Stage, Prod), and ensure
secure, high-quality data across all regions.
You’ll work closely with engineering teams to support well-architected, cost-effective, and secure infrastructure.

Role Overview Responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security engineering practices across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. This role drives security-by-design principles, DevSecOps integration, Cloud and platform hardening, while providing technical leadership across the organisation. Key Responsibilities * Define and implement security-by-design principles across cloud, on-premise, endpoint, and network environments * Embed security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) in collaboration with engineering and DevOps teams * Conduct and lead security risk assessments, ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented across new applications, platforms, and third-party tools * Own and enhance cloud, platform, and endpoint security posture, including monitoring for configuration drift and vulnerabilities * Develop and enforce hardening standards across endpoints (Windows/macOS), servers, and compute environments * Support and partner with teams across IAM, GRC, DLP, SOC, and Vulnerability Management to strengthen overall security capability * Own and manage security tools related to the role and discipline e.g. SAST Tooling * Drive automation, AI usage and tooling improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk * Provide support to the business as it relates to solution design, project and change management security. * Provide technical leadership and incident response support during security events * Collaborate with IT, DevOps, Software, Networks and Infra teams to embed security practices * Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field * 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles. * Experience designing and implementing enterprise scale security principles * Proven ability to influence and work with cross-functional teams and departments * Hands on experience with end user and cloud security (Azure, AWS, Windows and MAC O/S) * Strong technical knowledge of software development (CI/CD pipeline), cloud and security by design ways of working. * Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2 TISAX) Key Skills Required * Security architecture & Zero Trust principles * Cloud security (Azure & AWS) * DevSecOps and CI/CD security integration (SDLC) * Security frameworks & compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2, TISAX) * Workflow Automation & AI adoption * Stakeholder management & technical leadership Tool Experience * Microsoft Azure (E5 Toolset) - Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Microsoft Purview * AWS Security Hub (CSPM), Amazon Guard Duty, AWS Inspector, AWS Identity Analyser, AWS Config * SonarCloud (SAST Tooling) * Atlassian Cloud (Confluence / Jira) * Vanta (GRC) * Strong Microsoft Office 365 knowledge Certifications (Desired) * ISC2 - CISSP/CCSP/CSSLP * AWS Certified Security - Specialty * Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) * Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100) * GIAC GSSP/ GCSA New hires at Cubic³ are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working. The Infrastructure Engineering team’s mission is to provide cloud native infrastructure, automation and tools that enable teams across Toast to deliver products in a safe, secure and agile manner, with minimal operational dependencies. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for platform architecture and providing the automation and implementation for landing zones as well as network and security infrastructure for new AWS regions. A day in the life (Responsibilities) * Work within a Scrum team to create, document and support various infrastructure as code modules. * Create, document and support various tools and services used in order to support continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment of highly available infrastructure in various environments. * Use your familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices to foster a culture of quality while facilitating developer velocity. * Create tools to help our developers move their infrastructure from a monolithic repo to individual service repos for use with our IDP. * You believe internal tools deserve unit tests. * Lead by example with code standards and design; help implement these across the scrum team’s products. * Mentor and support developers within the organisation on using and extending of IaC tooling and support systems using DevOps methodologies. What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) * Minimum 6+ years of experience in a DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform engineering role * Hands on experience with object orientated programming is a MUST for this role (Java or Kotlin ideally) * You must have hands on experience with writing Terraform Providers * Expertise with at least one public cloud computing offering such as AWS, GCP or Azure infrastructure SDKs * Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code framework internals & SDKs (Terraform providers, Ansible modules & plugins, etc) * Solid experience in Go, Python, Java or Kotlin with a strong understanding of testing, quality and best practices. * Experience maintaining large-scale infrastructure, including both production and nonproduction workloads. * Experience with the continuous integration, deployment, and delivery of Cloud Infrastructure at scale for technology teams of hundreds of developers. * A desire to build a diverse team that wins together and prioritises customer success. * Experience leading the build and scale of critical platform features.
