It all started with an idea in 2021. Initially built to democratize Bitcoin in France, Bitstack has gone from a simple product
that invests spare change in bitcoin, to a crypto-native bank bringing a better way to save, spend, and grow money to our 300K+
users. We want to rebuild finance from the ground up to empower people to achieve financial freedom by participating in a more
open and inclusive financial system. We’re a small, ambitious team of operators. We believe in moving fast, sweating the details,
and creating products people truly love. At Bitstack, you’ll have the opportunity to shape not just our products, but the culture
and practices of our entire organization. Bitstack is backed by YC, leading VCs like 13books Capital, Stillmark, Serena, and many
more. We are building a product our users love and we are just getting started!
Bitstack's engineering team builds the technology that powers our mission - a product that people actually use, trust, and care
about. We work in small, cross-functional squads with real ownership and short feedback loops. As a mobile engineer, you'll own
features end to end, work directly with designers and product, and ship things that land in the hands of hundreds of thousands of
users.
We work across four squads - Banking, Savings, Growth, and Platform. You'll be placed into a squad based on your strengths and
where you can have the most impact.
1. Introductory Call (30 min)

think about mobile apps, as well as a basic question around architecture. You will also have a chance to find out more about
our engineering culture.
3. System Design (60 min)
A discussion focused on how you approach problem-solving, communicate your ideas, and prioritise decisions. This helps us
assess your technical depth and ability to design scalable systems
4. Take Home Task & Task Review Call (60 min)
You’ll receive a practical task to complete in your own time. Once submitted, we’ll schedule a review call to walk through
your solution together and explore your thought process in more detail

What is Finary? Our mission is to change how money can work for you. We're building the one-stop shop for investing, where you can track your assets, manage your budget, invest, and learn, giving power back to investors. Mounir launched Finary in 2021, and we've since crossed 1,000,000 users. We ship cutting-edge products with touches of delight, and we care deeply about experience, performance, and ease of use. Why now? A new generation of investors is emerging: ambitious and involved. Money is no longer taboo, and the pension system is under tremendous pressure. We see a world where investing empowers everybody to live the life they've always dreamt of. To fuel that, we raised a €25M Series B in September 2025, backed by PayPal Ventures, Hedosophia, Y Combinator, and Speedinvest, alongside world-class founders and operators like Steve Anavi & Alexandre Prot (Qonto), Matthieu Rouif (Photoroom), Eric Demuth (Bitpanda), Axel Weber (former UBS Chairman), and Harsh Sinha (CTO at Wise). And in July 2026, the AMF granted us our MiCA license, on top of our Investment Firm license: Finary is now one of the very few French platforms holding both, offering stocks, ETFs and crypto on a single regulated platform, at the exact moment Europe consolidates around licensed players. There's never been a more exciting time to join. What we offer We hire people who lift the team's ceiling: A-players who are as kind as they are demanding. We move fast, aim high, and treat ownership as the default. Our culture is direct, transparent, and built on radical candor. We challenge each other openly, then commit. It's demanding and not for everyone, but if you want to raise the bar every day alongside equally driven teammates, this is the place. And we don't hedge on this. We believe AI fluency is the single most important skill of the next decade, and it's a real bar here, not a buzzword. Everyone at Finary has rebuilt how they work around AI. It's the first reflex, not a side experiment. If reaching for AI before you reach for the old way isn't already second nature, this won't be the right fit. If it is, you'll be surrounded by people pushing that frontier every day. Read more about our values here. What you can expect * A high-performing team: work with A-players across every discipline, in an environment that challenges you and helps you grow fast. * Ownership from day one: freedom, responsibility, and trust. We hire for talent and get out of the way. * Impact that matters: build a product that helps people take control of their financial future. * A hybrid setup: teammates across France and Europe, meeting in person in Paris six times a year. * Competitive compensation: a package aligned with your experience and impact. What we don't care about * Your degree or your school. We care about what you bring to the team. * Ping pong tables, free laundry, or trendy perks. We focus on what truly matters. At Finary, we're on a mission to give power back to investors. We've grown to 1M+ users on the strength of our product, and we're now making a defining bet: becoming an AI-native company in the next 6 months, in how we build and in what we ship. As VP Engineering, your mission is to lead that transformation and own engineering end-to-end. ABOUT THE ROLE * Own engineering end-to-end: people, architecture, hiring, delivery, and quality across all squads * Build an AI-native org where AI is the default for code, tests, reviews, and deploys, targeting 3 to 5x output per engineer, measured * Ship the AI-powered one-stop-shop for money: autonomous agents and personalized financial guidance built on our proprietary data * Set the 10-year technical vision and grow Finary's engineering brand to attract A+ talent You'll lead 30 engineers across web, mobile, and backend, partner with Product, Data, and Ops, and help shape company strategy. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to our CEO, Mounir. YOU'D BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU * Have personally led an AI-native transformation at a 20+ engineer org: restructured how the team builds, with before/after metrics to prove it * Have scaled an engineering team to 30+ in a high-growth startup * Are backend-strong and still hands-on today, ready to code the first AI agent yourself * Are an AI Pioneer: you've rebuilt your own workflow around AI and shipped AI for others, and can prove it live * Build A-player teams that follow you across companies * Manage your own money actively and have a point of view on investing BONUS POINTS IF YOU * Have led inside fintech or a trust-heavy product * Were a founder, co-founder, or first technical hire at a startup that scaled * Are based in or ready to relocate to France WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive compensation: €150,000 to €180,000 + meaningful equity * A high-impact role reporting directly to the CEO, with real authority over engineering * The chance to build the AI intelligence layer for European personal finance, on proprietary data nobody else has * Hybrid (Europe), with a part of the Engineering team in person in Paris HOW TO APPLY? Tell us why you want to join Finary. Share with us what excites you about our mission and how you will contribute. Make your first impression count.

WHY JOIN US? * Help shape a truly innovative product from day one * Work with a small, fast, curious team who cares deeply about the craft * Have massive influence over what we build and how we build it * Competitive salary + meaningful equity
