Based on-site, you’ll play a key role in building, maintaining, and developing test rigs for 6 subsystem rigs, ensuring cutting-edge test solutions for our clients in the automotive and embedded systems industries. Your work will span the entire lifecycle—from concept and construction to commissioning and troubleshooting—ensuring robust and efficient test solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with ECU specialists, test engineers, and system architects, using tools like Vector CANoe, CAPL scripting, and C#/Python to automate tests, simulate bus communication, and develop custom tooling. Your expertise in electronics, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and MAZE technology will be key to optimizing rig performance. Your main responsibilities Design, build, and maintain HIL/SIL test rigs from concept to operation Develop automated test scripts using CAPL, C#, and Python Configure and simulate bus communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) with Vector CANoe Interpret ECU specifications and translate requirements into rig design Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring rig reliability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize test processes Document rig setups, test procedures, and maintenance protocols Your profile We’re looking for a proactive and structured engineer with a passion for test automation and embedded systems. Job summary We are looking for a HIL Verification & Test Automation Engineer to support an Agile team working with Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) testing of safety‑critical vehicle functions for the customer. The role focuses on automated verification o functional and non‑functional levels, using dSPACE tools and CI/CD integration. About the Assignment You will work hands‑on with HIL rigs, implement automated test scripts, and execute verification of end‑user functions. The work includes learning the customer’s workflow, using provided requirements (FRS) and test descriptions (SWTDs), and collaborating closely with their teams throughout the project phases. Key Responsibilities · Implement automated HIL test scripts using dSPACE AutomationDesk. · Execute closed‑loop HIL tests, incl. diagnostics, performance checks, and fault injection. · Analyze and report HIL test results. · Use FRS and SWTDs to contribute to test case and test description creation. · Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines. · Collaborate closely with the customer’s development and verification teams. Preferred Skills · Knowledge of vehicle dynamics (brakes, traction, steering). · Familiarity with customer’s processes and tools (SE‑Tool, GitHub). · MATLAB experience. Key Responsibilities Perform first-line fault tracing and troubleshooting in HIL and vehicle environments. Analyze issues and classify root causes (e.g., hardware, software, or system/setup-related). Generate detailed fault reports with logs, findings, and technical insights. Utilize debugging tools to capture and analyze system behavior and logs. Support software download and flashing activities on Devices Under Test (DUT) using debuggers. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of faults.
