We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Stellar Entertainment mission! The Studio We are a video game development studio with offices in Guildford, UK and Utrecht, Netherlands. An exciting new project is taking shape at Stellar. You'll be joining a specialist team who are ready to provide technical solutions and optimisations. The Role As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a part of the core tech team working closely with our graphics, gameplay, engine and tools teams. Day to day this will look like: * Writing clean, well-documented C++ code in line with project standards * Building scalable, data-driven architectures within engine infrastructure * Working with the Lead Systems Engineer to conduct a thorough technical assessment of engine and game systems * Collaborating across departments to design and deliver key engine features. * Profiling and resolving performance issues across CPU, GPU and memory * Ensuring high-quality, maintainable output - from broad system design down to individual functions Requirements What we’re looking to see on your CV: * Experience in game development through all stages of the process from design to shipping, with strong knowledge of optimisation and porting processes * Strong understanding of hardware across different platforms * Strong C++ skills, including sound knowledge of multithreading, software design patterns, and systems architecture * Familiarity with game engine architecture across multiple engines including proprietary * Good problem solving and debugging skills Bonus points for: * Any additional coding languages under your belt * Understanding of hardware architecture * Knowledge of build systems Benefits What you can expect from us: * Flexible hybrid working (we work 3 days per week on-site) * Holiday Accrual Scheme * International AAA game projects; * Access to cutting-edge hardware; * Discretionary bonus scheme * Private Healthcare Plan incl. The Role As Stellar Entertainment’s Rendering Engineer, you will be working closely with our wider Rendering and Engineering team to help develop and optimise the rendering and graphics technology we implement on our AAA projects. Your main focus will be collaborating with our team of engineers, artists, and technical artists to design, implement, and optimize rendering features. You will be involved in the creation of visually stunning and immersive experiences for our players - we want our games to inspire and amaze. As our Rendering Engineer, you will: * Work under direction to develop and optimize rendering features * Assist with the implementation shaders and lighting systems * Coordinate across teams to achieve exceptional visual quality * Work towards optimising performance and memory usage * Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the rendering pipeline * Research and implement cutting-edge rendering techniques * Work with colleagues to identify bugs and solutions Requirements What we’re looking to see on your CV: * Experience in a Rendering role in the gaming industry, working in Unreal Engine * Strong programming skills in C++, and ability to demonstrate your 3D maths expertise * Good knowledge of rendering techniques and algorithms, and experience with shader programming and real-time lighting * Understanding of performance optimization techniques * Unreal Engine familiarity * Ability to work coordinate across teams * A keen interest in for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible visually, and keeping up to date with latest tech developments in the field Bonus points if you have; * At least one, or two extra programming languages under your belt * Previous experience in building large scale, realtime, multiplayer games Benefits What you can expect from us: Our UK Colleagues receive: * Flexible hybrid working (we work 3 days per week on-site) * Holiday Accrual Scheme * International AAA game projects; * Access to cutting-edge hardware; * Discretionary bonus scheme * Private Healthcare Plan incl. We’re looking for an Optimisation Engineer to join the Stellar Entertainment mission! The Studio We are a video game development studio with offices in Guildford, UK and Utrecht, Netherlands. The Role As an Optimisation Engineer, you will be a part of the core tech team working closely with graphics, gameplay, engine and tools. Day to day you will: * Profile and analyse CPU and GPU workloads, identifying performance bottlenecks * Define, track, and enforce frame time, memory, and bandwidth budgets across all game systems in collaboration with leads and the Technical Director. * Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to ensure visual quality * Provide hands-on mentoring and code review support to mid-level engineers on performance-sensitive coding practices Requirements What we’re looking to see on your CV: * Experience in game development through all stages of the process from design to shipping * Experience in the games industry, in a performance, platform, or core technology role. * Strong C++ skills, including knowledge of multithreading, software design patterns, and systems architecture * Experience and understanding of low-level CPU and GPU profiling tools * Experience working with large code bases * Familiarity with game engine architecture across multiple engines * Good problem solving and debugging skills Bonus points for: * Any additional coding languages under your belt * Understanding of hardware architecture Benefits What you can expect from us: * Flexible hybrid working (we work 3 days per week on-site, and have core hours of 10:00 – 16:30) * Holiday Accrual Scheme * International AAA game projects; * Access to cutting-edge hardware; * Discretionary bonus scheme * Private Healthcare Plan incl.
