Pinterest's Data Privacy Engineering team builds access control, auditing, and data handling services and solutions used across the company to power Pinterest experiences. AI is transforming how software is built, data is analyzed, and users interact with software. We're looking for a Senior Engineer based in Dublin to help build the next generation of Data Privacy solutions for AI platforms, ensuring agents interact with data responsibly and transparently. What you’ll do:  * Design services and processes used to safely onboard new AI use cases * Create isolated environments to enable secure agent-driven data processing without direct data exposure * Design and maintain an auditing pipeline to monitor and log all AI sandbox data egress * Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams across Pinterest to identify and tackle new data privacy challenges What we’re looking for: * Strong coding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute hands-on across multiple technology stacks * Strong cross-team communication skills with the ability to plan and execute complex, multi-stakeholder projects * Hands-on experience with AI-based engineering * Some understanding of access controls, security systems, or data governance frameworks * Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms is a strong plus * Comfort with experiment-driven development and an eagerness to tackle novel, ambiguous technical challenges * Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience   Relocation Statement:  * This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. P-1343 As a software engineer with a backend focus, you will work with your team to build infrastructure for the Databricks platform at scale. The impact you'll have: Our backend teams cover a diverse range of domains, from core compute fabric resource management to service platforms and machine learning infrastructure. For example, you might work on challenges such as: * Supporting Databricks' growth by building foundational infrastructure platforms that enable seamless operation across numerous geographic regions and cloud providers. * Implementing cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions to help Databricks engineers more efficiently manage and operate their services. * Develop tools and processes that drive engineering efficiency at Databricks. We enhance the developer experience for Databricks engineers across various areas, including programming languages, linters, static analysis, IDEs, remote development environments, automated release pipelines, and test automation frameworks. Our current focus is on optimizing the Rust development experience across the organization. What we look for: * 5+ years of professional software development experience. * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.  * Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go. * Hands-on experience in developing and operating large-scale, critical distributed backend systems. * Demonstrated leadership throughout all project phases, from inception and design to implementation and operations. * Self-driven and passionate with a strong focus on delivering impact through team collaboration. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation that drives alignment and decision-making. * Experience with infrastructure systems, security, and sensitive data, as well as familiarity with Kubernetes or cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. THE ROLE We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Rewards team and help shape that next chapter. This isn't a "here's a ticket, go build it" role. You'll work closely with Product and Design to identify what's missing, what could be better, and how to build it — then execute with high quality and speed. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Build new features across the Rewards platform: Trends & Insights, engagement/recognition improvements, points expiration, and off-platform redemption * Own frontend work end-to-end — from design collaboration to testing and deployment Become the subject-matter expert for Rewards frontend code * Improve test automation coverage using Playwright * Instrument observability and A/B testing to understand what's working and surface gaps * Contribute ideas proactively: what's missing, what should be improved, how to raise the quality bar WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Strong React experience, with the ability to build modular, reusable components * Product mindset — you don't wait to be told what to build; you identify gaps and bring proposals * Familiarity with Playwright or a comparable E2E test automation framework * Hands-on with AI-assisted development (Cursor, Claude, or equivalent) — our entire codebase is written with AI tooling * Experience with A/B testing tools (e.g., Amplitude) and frontend observability (e.g., Datadog) Nice to Have: * Track record of leading features end-to-end with Product, Design, and backend engineers * Experience writing technical documents or planning bug-bashes   This is a contractor role for candidates based in Latin America only.
