WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SENIOR TOOLS PROGRAMMER TO JOIN OUR NEWLY FORMED ART PIPELINES TEAM, SHAPING THE TECHNOLOGY THAT SUPPORTS OUR
The Art Pipelines team is a small, growing group building art pipelines and pipeline tools that fit the way our artists work. The
work is a mix of design and architecture on systems we’re building from the ground up, plus the day-to-day feature delivery, bug
fixes, and tickets that come with running a tool team.
You’ll have meaningful input on how these tools are structured, how they ship, and how they grow. We expect you to care about the
people using the tools as much as the code that runs them.
If this sounds like you, and you’re interested in finding out if Supercell would be a great fit for you, hit that apply button.

Our artists make content for live games played on a global scale. The tools they use every day shape what’s possible, and what’s

The team is based in our Helsinki office, which is the preferred location for this role as well.

That's it about the role! Below, we've gathered some things we feel are important for you to know. Totally optional, but a highly

Supercell is a games company from Helsinki, Finland, with offices also in San Francisco, Seoul, Shanghai, and London. You might
know us as the makers of Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars. Our mission is to create great games
that as many people as possible play for years and that are remembered forever.
So, how do we make great games? By putting together the best teams and giving them the freedom and independence to succeed. And by
taking risks, failing, sharing learnings, and killing lots of projects.
Independent cells and trust are at the core of our culture. But it takes more than that to make great games. We take good care of
our people, providing them with the compensation, work environment, and resources they need to succeed while having fun along the
way.
Here, you won’t need to focus on chasing titles or climbing ladders. Internally, our job titles don’t include prefixes like
Senior, Junior, Principal, or Director. Recognition isn’t tied to your title, as it doesn't define the impact you can have around
here.
Luring you in with glitter, glamour, and gems isn't what we're about. We want you to enjoy your time here fully, so we structure
our compensation and benefits with that in mind. It starts with perceiving you as a human being, not a resource.
No matter where you’re moving from, our dedicated mobility team and partners will support you throughout your move. We’ll ensure
the process is as smooth as possible for you and anyone joining you – whether they’re family members of the human or animal kind!
Many candidates with great skills and experience second-guess themselves. The bar is high, but if this role excites you, apply!
We’re here to help you succeed. Also, we're happy to learn about any specific accommodations you may need to fully engage in our
recruitment process.
Wishing you all the best,
The Supercell Recruitment team
BRAWL STARS TEAM IS STACKED WITH GREAT PROGRAMMERS WHO WANT TO HIRE MORE GREAT PROGRAMMERS TO CALL THEM "MY NEW FAVORITE TEAM MEMBER". WE CALL UPON YOU TO JOIN THE QUEST OF ADDING A LITTLE BIT OF FUN TO THE DAILY LIVES OF MILLIONS OF PLAYERS. At Supercell, client programmers are at the heart of the team, working together with designers, artists, and other engineers to craft fresh, new experiences for our players. Implementing features is of course your bread and butter, but you have a keen eye for the little details that make the experience outstanding for all the Brawl Stars fans. You're someone who likes to decide what to do with the people you work with rather than being told what to do from above and drive tremendous impact with a small team. Together, you can take a feature from a vague idea on a post-it to a fully working and polished implementation. Our game programmers are mostly generalists, so you can work on lots of different areas of the game. It’s important that you take pride in your work and know what it means to take responsibility and deliver quality and fun to players. We offer you a chance to join a team of professionals where talent feeds talent. We do not believe in bureaucracy or convoluted processes. Game development is a team sport, so we work together to achieve the best results. We trust each other’s skills and value each other’s work. All of us are driven by the amazing opportunity to make a game played by millions of players better and better. If this sounds exciting to you, then you might just be the person we are looking for! WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Craft high-quality features end-to-end, from a rough idea to polished code running smoothly for millions of players * Collaborate closely with designers, artists and other engineers to make features feel right, not just function right * Work across different areas of the game, wherever impact is needed * Write robust code that stands up to the demands of a massive, ever-evolving live game * Take initiative to improve shared tools, workflows, and the codebase itself WHAT YOU HAVE * Strong, professional experience using C++ * Implemented and shipped major game features/game(s) * Equally capable building on top of existing code as creating new systems * A problem solver who thinks about how systems fit together, not just the feature at hand * Sharp communicator who works naturally with designers, artists, and other disciplines * Comfortable with ambiguity and high autonomy in a fast-paced environment * Passion for games, technology, with a forward-thinking approach * Be passionate about the game and contribute design ideas to help it be better * A self-starter approach to use AI: you've found ways to use it in your day-to-day work, you experiment, figure things out and bring the same energy to every new challenge. WOULD BE NICE IF YOU ALSO HAVE * Experience creating or working on a live-service title * Experience with real-time, multiplayer games * Familiarity with server-side development and Java * Ability to deeply optimize code for performance * Deep experience in any of the following areas: mobile UI, liveops events, progression systems, social features * Experience mentoring other programmers or driving technical initiatives * An inkling of humour WHERE YOU'LL BE This role is based in our Helsinki Studio. ––– That's it about the role! WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED ENGINE PROGRAMMER TO JOIN ONE OF OUR INTERNAL ENGINE TEAMS, WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CORE RUNTIME AND PLATFORM LAYER OF SUPERCELL’S IN-HOUSE GAME ENGINE. THE ENGINE TEAMS ARE INDEPENDENT TEAMS THAT MAINTAIN OUR INTERNAL TECH STACK AND WORK SEAMLESSLY WITH OUR GAME TEAMS TO REVOLUTIONIZE THE WAY WE DEVELOP GAMES AT SUPERCELL. You will be focused primarily on our multi-platform C++ game engine. You will be expected to iterate and integrate improvements to the engine and its subsystems while working alongside coders, designers and artists from game teams, as well as other core technical teams. We’re looking for someone like you, who ideally has years of experience, and knowledge acquired from the gaming industry. Whether you have broad experience in proprietary game engines or are a specialist in one area – we want to hear from you. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a proactive programmer who works directly with game teams to deliver world-class mobile games. If this sounds like you and you're interested in finding out if Supercell would be a great fit for you – hit that apply button. Read about the engine behind every Supercell game (and why you’ve never heard of it). WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Develop, maintain, and improve core engine systems used across all our games. * Design and evolve platform abstractions for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS. * Work on runtime systems such as memory management, threading/job systems, asset loading, and performance-critical infrastructure. * Collaborate closely with game teams to identify bottlenecks and improve iteration speed, stability, and usability. * Improve developer workflows and tooling to make our engine a compelling alternative to off-the-shelf solutions. * Continuously modernize a large, long-lived codebase while supporting live games in production. * Work across team boundaries, ensuring clean integrations between core systems, rendering, and gameplay layers. WHAT YOU HAVE * Experience with in-house or proprietary game engines. * Strong professional experience with C++ in production environments. * Experience working with large, existing codebases, and the ability to improve them incrementally. * Solid understanding of core engine systems (e.g. memory, threading, asset management, runtime architecture). * Experience designing or working with cross-platform systems, especially for mobile (iOS/Android) and desktop (Windows/macOS). * Understanding of mobile performance characteristics (CPU, memory, threading, and platform constraints). * Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members. * Pragmatic problem-solving mindset and a focus on delivering real-world impact. * A self-starter approach to use AI: you've found ways to use it in your day-to-day work, you experiment, figure things out and bring the same energy to every new challenge. WOULD BE ALSO NICE IF YOU HAVE * Familiarity with build systems and tooling (e.g. CMake, Gradle, Python, CI pipelines). * Experience improving developer workflows, iteration times, or debugging tools. * Experience with UI/tooling frameworks such as ImGui. * Experience in game server development and Java. * Experience from game console platforms. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Our engine has been developed over many years and powers multiple live games at global scale. We are actively evolving it to better support current and future titles. Success in this role means: * Making the engine more stable, faster, and easier to use. * Helping game teams ship and operate live games more effectively. * Contributing to a long-term effort to build world-class internal technology.
