We're looking for a customer-empathetic and technically-adept Technical Account Manager to serve as a strategic advisor to our largest, most complex enterprise customers. You will partner deeply with customer stakeholders to drive technical enablement, ensure sustained adoption, and align Asana's capabilities with their long-term business goals. In this highly cross-functional role, you will use your strong critical thinking and collaboration skills to influence both internal teams and external executive stakeholders, making a lasting impact on our customer retention and platform growth. This role is based in our Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you'll achieve * Own the post-sales technical success of enterprise and strategic customers, serving as their primary advisor and partner as they scale their infrastructure. * Lead technical onboarding and build joint success plans with clear milestones and measurable outcomes to accelerate customer time-to-value from day one. * Drive proactive engagement through regular touchpoints, Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), roadmap alignment, and deep platform technical reviews. * Deliver admin and power-user enablement sessions, sharing best practices on Asana APIs, integrations, authentication protocols, and admin governance. * Lead technical escalations, migrations, and incident coordination by partnering cross-functionally to resolve complex issues and mitigate account risk. * Monitor customer health data and usage trends to proactively surface risks, identify expansion opportunities, and support renewal readiness in partnership with Sales. * Collaborate closely with Support, Product, and Engineering to deliver a unified customer experience and advocate for product roadmap enhancements based on customer needs. * Contribute to internal playbooks, SOPs, and knowledge resources to help standardize and elevate the broader TAM practice. About you * Brings 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing, consultative technical role (such as TAM, Solutions Engineer, or Implementation Consultant) supporting enterprise SaaS customers. * Possesses strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of APIs, integrations, authentication protocols (SAML, SCIM), and enterprise IT architecture. * Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making. * Comfortable presenting to executive audiences, translating complex technical outcomes into compelling business value narratives. * Understands the commercial impact of the role, specifically how account health, data-driven insights, and technical risk reduction connect to net revenue retention (NRR) and expansion. * Thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, using a process-driven and action-oriented approach to manage competing priorities across a large portfolio. * Communicates proactively, thoroughly, and transparently across both highly technical operations teams and non-technical business executives. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $120,000 - $136,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits. You will define and drive the target architecture for our infrastructure while leading the transformation towards a modern, standardized, and automated environment. This is not a purely architectural role. You will work hands-on alongside the team to build the first Infrastructure as Code foundations, establish best practices, and enable the organization to adopt scalable and sustainable automation. As the key interface between the Infrastructure and the Cloud & Platform teams, you will ensure that on-premises and cloud environments are designed and operated according to shared architectural principles and standards. YOUR MISSION * Define and continuously evolve the target architecture for our hybrid IT infrastructure, ensuring that on-premises and cloud environments are designed as one integrated ecosystem * Establish and maintain architecture standards for network segmentation, naming conventions, security baselines, and reusable Infrastructure as Code modules * Evaluate technologies and support architecture decisions by determining the most suitable platform for workloads across on-premises, Azure, and AWS environments * Collaborate closely with the Cloud & Platform team to establish shared architecture principles, standards, and technical best practices * Conduct architecture reviews for infrastructure and cloud projects to ensure consistency, scalability, and security * Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code as the team's standard way of working by designing and implementing reusable Terraform and/or Ansible modules * Define repository structures, code review processes, and deployment workflows to establish scalable Infrastructure as Code practices * Support and coach Infrastructure Engineers through pair programming, technical workshops, and knowledge sharing to enable long-term adoption of Infrastructure as Code * Coordinate the collaboration between Infrastructure and Cloud & Platform teams by defining clear ownership, provisioning responsibilities, and operational handover processes * Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, and decision records while supporting project teams with realistic infrastructure planning and architectural guidance YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS * Several years of experience designing and implementing enterprise IT infrastructure architectures in hybrid environments * Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform and/or Ansible * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure or AWS, with a solid understanding of the second platform * Deep understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization technologies, and hybrid networking concepts * Experience working with Git and version control best practices for Infrastructure as Code repositories * Ideally, experience with monitoring and observability solutions * A hands-on mindset with the ability to combine strategic architecture thinking with practical implementation * Strong communication skills and the ability to align multiple teams around common technical standards and architectural decisions * Experience coaching colleagues through workshops, pair programming, and technical documentation * Experience working in infrastructure transformation initiatives and supporting teams through organizational and technical change * Fluent German and good English communication skills complete your profile WHY CHOOSE US? This is a rare opportunity to build the architecture function from the ground up. You will define the target-state architecture across business capabilities, applications, data, integration, cybersecurity, and Operational Technology (OT), creating the standards and governance that will support SkyNRG's growth for years to come.
