In short We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Specialist to lead costing data management initiatives with strong project ownership and cross-functional leadership. This role requires deep expertise in data governance, system processes and the ability to drive projects that improve data quality, operational efficiency and costing accuracy. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, delivering scalable solutions and influencing stakeholders across the organization. Your Mission * Own and govern end-to-end costing and operational data across systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency and scalability * Lead and manage data-related projects from initiation to completion, including planning, stakeholder alignment, execution, and delivery * Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and success metrics, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines * Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, supply chain, costing, production) to drive project execution and ensure alignment * Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and proactively implement mitigation plans * Drive system enhancements and process improvement initiatives, including requirement gathering, testing (UAT) and rollout * Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across data workflows and reporting processes * Ensure compliance with data governance standards and contribute to the development of new policies where needed Your story * 6-8 years of experience in data management, analytics or related roles, preferably within footwear or manufacturing industries * Proven experience leading end-to-end projects, with strong planning, execution, and stakeholder management skills * Strong understanding of costing processes, supply chain data, or product lifecycle management is preferred * Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex, matrix organizations * Advanced proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar) * Experience with ERP, PLM, or costing systems is a strong advantage * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and drive results * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions * Experience in process improvement, automation, or digital transformation initiatives * High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail Meet the team We, the Costing team, collaborates closely and cross-functionally with teams from development, materials, finance, production, and supply chain, to identify opportunities in increasing company margins What we offer On is a place that is centered around growth and progress. In short: * Supporting Head of Footwear Costing and particularly in line with Brand Costing strategic direction, optimize product cost for Footwear product. * Maximize Margin opportunity through the leveraging of key levers by implementing costing standardization and strengthen Costing strategy. * Strongly coordinate and facilitate all Costing related topics internally and externally with the numbers of stakeholders. Your mission: * Costing direction & Costing projects: Supporting head of Footwear Costing to drive footwear Costing direction and Strategy & Costing Projects, be able to communicate Costing projects throughout the Organization and take a lead to drive the team effort by ensuring the implementation and execution in place * Communication: Be able to represent Costing function in the Organization to Communicate Costing initiatives , Be capable of providing Costing insights and Costing guidance and the ability of managing stakeholders internally and externally * Manufacturing Partnership & Negotiation: Own the costing relationship with the key manufacturers. Lead high-stakes price negotiations and build strategic partnership, and provide on the ground intelligence to inform Costing and Sourcing decisions. * Cost optimization: Deliver customized Costing training to the Creation & Sourcing team to drive cost consciousness and Support the team to optimize product cost by leveraging the costing approach * Profitability: Actively contribute to Margin maximization, through key levers such as Costing Standardization, Costing engineering, Pattern efficiency, Material Cost strategy and any other profitability related initiatives with the aim to deliver product value to the consumer while improving company profitability. * Processes & Systems: Be the part of system & process enhancement to drive Costing automation and process efficiency and effectiveness * Governance: act as gatekeeper to ensure that all costing manuals & standards, processes & policies and Costing system are understood and correctly applied consistently by suppliers and eventually leading the practice of Costing auditing * Trends: Stay up to date on footwear industry and business trends and drivers to support proactive adjustment to the dynamic cost environment. * Team Leadership & Development: Lead, Mentor and develop the individual team members. Possesses the emotional intelligence to motivate, provide constructive feedback and unlock the potential of each team member Your story: * University degree in business, economics, accounting, engineering; and with the passion for numbers and value engineering * 7+ years’ experience working at a premium footwear brand, technical experience and knowledge of product construction, manufacturing methods and with Sourcing planning will be a plus * Excellent commercial sense and very analytical mindset * Advanced project management skills with the ability of storytelling * Proficiency in both Excel and PPT * Strong price negotiation skills and impeccable integrity * Critical thinking and be able to challenge status quote and drive Costing project in the collaborative way. * Be able to motivate/ guide team to reach individual and team goals * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and cross-functional environment * Fluent in English spoken and written
IN SHORT Drive premium footwear execution by partnering with Zurich HQ and tanneries to commercialize leather innovations. You will own end-to-end quality governance—establishing strict testing, grading, and cutting parameters across T1/T2 suppliers—while optimizing material utilization, onboarding new tanneries, and building our core leather manual to ensure production consistency. Offered on a contract basis YOUR MISSION - Partner with ZH Leather management team to commercialize new leathers and material innovations. - Work with Product Development, On-Site Teams(QA Teams), and suppliers to establish grading, testing, and cutting parameters for new leather programs. - Support the implementation of new leather techniques across leather collections. - Participate in material trials, evaluations, and approvals during development and commercialization stages. - Ensure T1 factories consistently maintain company quality and aesthetic standards. - Evaluate leather selection, grading, cutting, and utilization practices to ensure compliance with approved quality guidelines. - Partner with T1 factories to resolve leather quality issues, including replacement or recutting of non-conforming materials. - Collaborate with the leather suppliers to quickly address leather concerns that may impact production schedules. - Visit T1 factories and T2 leather suppliers to educate teams on:Testing standards procedures; Grading guidelines; Leather receiving procedures; Cutting and material utilization practices - Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality consistency and operational efficiency. - Partner with the Costing Team to ensure fair and accurate leather waste factors are applied by T1 factories. - Monitor leather utilization and support opportunities for material optimization without compromising quality standards. - Support material tracking and organization for development and production needs. - Build up the leather core board, set up leather manual process - Onboarding new Tanneries YOUR STORY 5+ years of experience in leather sourcing, leather quality, product development, or material management within footwear, or accessories industries. Strong technical understanding of leather grading, tanning, cutting, testing, and manufacturing processes. Experience working with tanneries, factories, and external partners across Asia. Knowledge of footwear, construction and material applications preferred. Strong problem-solving, communication, and supplier management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint and material tracking systems.
