The global infrastructure team ensures the stability, performance, and optimisation of QRT’s technology environment. The team
collaborates with engineers, business stakeholders, and end users to troubleshoot issues, improve monitoring and instrumentation,
and deliver solutions that support latency-sensitive trading platforms.
About the role
We are seeking an exceptional implementation manager to join the QRT IT infrastructure team tasked with driving the innovation of
its next generation systems infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to help facilitate QRTs’
growth.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of multiple parallel infrastructure projects to support
our growing trading venues footprint. You will be working closely with QRTs compute, network engineering and data centre
operations teams as well as QRT’s partners and financial exchanges.

Your future role within QRT You will join the Security team, working closely with Software Engineers and Infrastructure teams to embed security into the design, development, and operation of systems across cloud services, business applications, and core infrastructure. * Support the implementation and operation of product security controls across cloud services, core infrastructure, and business applications on Windows and Linux platforms * Work with engineering teams to integrate security into system design and development, applying practical approaches suitable for fast-moving environments * Contribute to secure software development practices, including supporting security reviews across languages such as Python, C++, Rust, Go, and Kotlin/Java * Perform threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and security code reviews with guidance from senior team members * Assist with integrating and operating security tooling (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning) within CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments * Identify security risks and contribute to remediation and mitigation plans with engineering teams * Perform vendor security reviews to assess third-party security practices against internal standards * Build your product security knowledge and share learnings with peers across engineering teams Requirements: * 3–5 years of experience in product security, application security, software engineering, or a related role * Hands-on experience with secure coding practices and at least one of: Python, C++, Rust, Go, Kotlin/Java * Solid technical foundation in software development, system architecture, or infrastructure, with a strong interest in security * Working knowledge of security principles and common vulnerabilities affecting software, cloud platforms, and business applications * Experience securing Windows and/or Linux-based systems * Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS or Microsoft Azure), ideally in hybrid environments * Familiarity with threat modelling, vulnerability management, and risk assessment concepts * Experience using or integrating security scanning tools into development workflows and/or CI/CD pipelines * Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment * Exposure to low-latency or performance-sensitive systems * Experience in financial services and/or regulated environments * Interest in automation and security tooling development QRT is an equal opportunity employer. The AWS Cloud Engineering Team provides a scalable, performant and best practice platform for QRT’s application and core teams to utilize in deploying cloud native services. This team is critical in ensuring that applications are built on a strong AWS foundation from the perspective of governance, security and connectivity. Your future role at QRT: We are hiring an experienced cloud architect, who has a deep knowledge in AWS infrastructure and compute services along with broad knowledge across the expansive suite of AWS services. The role will require close collaboration across QRT business and technology groups to provide cloud architecture advisory, design and implementation support on new and existing platforms, which lowers the burden of knowledge on development teams and accelerates the time to market of new applications, features and solutions. You will enable the QRT Business Teams to scale through: * Accelerating the time it takes to design and implement new business applications and features whilst assuring sound architectural fundamentals are in place: * Creation of re-usable and implementable architecture patterns and best practices, which advance the initial design and development phase of a project. * Identifying and solving common challenges which impact application and technology teams * Fostering collaboration across QRT’s application and technology teams * Guiding adoption and delivery within QRT business groups to translate business requirements into technical designs and support development teams in creating supportable solutions within the cloud * Providing time-bound support to teams within QRT to create cloud architecture and deployment plans and help standardize cloud offerings delivery * Interfacing with cloud providers to identify new services that can be beneficial and providing feedback to them on service changes and improvements that would benefit QRT Your Present Skill Set: * Extensive knowledge of infrastructure and compute solutions and their implementation in AWS, with demonstrable experience in designing and implementing well architected cloud solutions which support cloud hosted business applications. * Knowledge of AWS core Infrastructure services (networking, security operations) * Experience with AWS compute services and technologies, including (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, EC2, Lambda): * Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into well-rounded, secure, scalable solutions which meet the needs of the customer * A demonstrable background in working at scale across a large cloud technology landscape, identifying, advising and defining best practice solutions for deploying and managing cloud native workloads. * Good knowledge of one of more coding languages, such as Python. * Experience in using an Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform. Your future role within QRT: As a Windows Platform Server Engineer, you will be part of the Global Infrastructure Team, responsible for designing, building, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization infrastructure. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of core IT services that underpin research technology, trading platforms, market execution, and data processing. Responsibilities * Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to enhance reliability, scalability, and security. * Build, manage, and deploy all technologies related to the on-premises Windows Server stack, including OS, observability, backups, and identity services. * Configure and maintain monitoring and dashboarding tools to track server and application performance. * Build, manage, and deploy Windows Server environments (2022–2025). * Build, deploy, and monitor a globally distributed, multi-forest Active Directory environment. * Manage and configure tools such as Splunk, * Configure and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID integration to enforce security and access policies. * Automate server management using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance. * Optimise and troubleshoot server backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. * Utilise SIEM tools to monitor and manage server security and performance. * Work with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) to ensure efficient integration and high availability. * Build manage and deploy VMMware ESXi services, clustering, infrastructure and network concepts. * Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs, and support materials. * Solid understanding of networking concepts * Support and optimise Citrix DaaS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune environments. * Provide 2nd-line support and act as 3rd-line escalation for all Windows Server and application-related issues. * Provide cross-functional troubleshooting support when required. * Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to identify strategic improvement opportunities. Your present skillset: * Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing Windows Server environments, including large-scale enterprise migrations. * Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS design, implementation, and advanced troubleshooting. * Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation, OS builds, patching, and infrastructure optimisation. * Deep understanding of Windows Update processes, enterprise patch management, and security hardening best practices. * Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible. * Experience with backup tools such as Veem. * Experience managing cloud infrastructure, including AWS EC2 and Azure. * Strong troubleshooting expertise across Windows 10/11 client operating systems. * Solid cloud platform experience with Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Intune. * Experience supporting and optimising Citrix DaaS / VDI environments. * Experience supporting and optimising ESXi environments. * Strong knowledge of networking concepts, certificate services (PKI), and infrastructure security. * Experience with performance monitoring and optimisation of Windows servers, desktops, and virtual machines. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and contribute effectively to cross-functional projects Occasional weekend shifts and out-of-hours coverage may be required to ensure continuous support.
