Your responsibilities:  As a junior business scientist, you will: * Work on challenging projects with international clients, combining analytics and consulting, including building tailored solutions. * Work in teams of 3–6 business scientists across 1–3 projects. * Engage from discovery to final recommendations: data analysis, modelling, and translating insights. * Propose innovative approaches and grow into ownership of projects. * Support project planning, coordination, and delivery tracking, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.  * Present results to stakeholders including C-suite clients. * Build expertise across methodologies and industries. * Receive training, mentoring, and continuous support, with a clear development path toward a Senior Business Scientist role.  * Gain exposure to the APAC leadership team. * Contribute to a fast-growing, ambitious and collaborative team. Your profile:  We’re looking for candidates with: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related field. * Strong academic performance. * 2–3 years of experience in data analysis / modelling, preferably in a client-facing or consulting environment.  * Experience with R, Python, SQL or similar tools. * Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. * Interest in consulting and problem solving, and project delivery.   * Exposure to project management or PMO-related activities is a plus.  * Strong interest in marketing and business topics. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights for business stakeholders.   * Business-level English. * Additional Asia languages are a plus. * Team-oriented mindset with strong ownership and proactiveness.  * Self-driven and eager to learn. We commit to responsibility and frugality in AI, systematic AI impact at scale, and loyalty to our values and DNA.   To accelerate our business growth in the APAC region, we decided to open a new office in Shanghai (operational since January 2024).   About the role    As a Junior Business Scientist, you will be working on challenging projects with international blue-chip clients across diverse industries, on both advanced data analytics and consulting, including meeting with clients and building bespoke solutions to face their challenges. You will be working in teams of 3 to 6 Business Scientist, on 1 to 3 projects simultaneously.    You’ll be involved in projects from first discovery meetings all the way to final recommendations, gathering and analyzing data, building statistical models, translating quantitative insights into strategic recommendations. You will have the opportunity to be creative and suggest innovative approaches, and well as being pushed to grow into taking ownership of your projects.   You’ll be able to present your results and will be exposed to C-suite clients.   You’ll build expertise on several methodologies and industries and develop an exceptional combination of both technical and business skills. You will be accompanied in your learning process through our training program as well as through coaching and mentoring from colleagues. You will have high exposure to each member of our close-knit team, including the General Manager, Shanghai, who is leading the growth of this entity.   Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to both work for a leader in data analytics and have an impact in a strongly growing entity with high ambitions. Each consultant is highly involved in the challenges we are facing and contributes to our passionate, humble and ambitious team.   About you   We’re looking for talented candidates with the following profile:   ·       Graduates of Bachelors’ or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering or a related analytical field. You will be working in teams of 3 to 6 Business Scientists, on 2 to 3 projects simultaneously.   The primary focus of the senior consultant’s work will be to drive high client value and broaden relationships at the most senior levels with current and prospective clients and translate this into new business opportunities for Ekimetrics.   The senior Business Scientist will be leading projects from the first discovery meetings all the way to final recommendations, responsible for gathering and analyzing data, building statistical models, translating quantitative insights into strategic recommendations, and delivering the final results as a persuasive story.   The successful candidate will also be expected to develop the more junior members of the team to be able to do high impact work across core areas of the clients’ businesses.   Finally, the successful candidate will be expected to drive development initiatives and new thought-leadership, transfer knowledge to junior team members, and continue to build Ekimetrics reputation and brand in Asia.   1. Team Management: ·          Actively work with the team to identify actions to improve engagements ·          Retain top performers and support the development of future Eki leaders ·          Provide visible sponsorship to recruiting, retaining & engaging diverse talent in your organization   2. Business Operator: ·          Design and scope new projects, using the right analyses to answer client questions ·          Deliver with excellence – ensure high client satisfaction and make sure that issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner with no surprises ·          Ensure client's business case is achievable and Ekimetrics has appropriate ability to influence promised outcomes ·          Present actionable and easy-to-understand findings to drive high levels of adoption within client organizations ·          Drive client retention and new business opportunities   3. Ekimetrics Life: ·          Help lead our fast growth by contributing to local and global initiatives such as Thought-Leadership, Knowledge Management, Recruitment, Culture, Gender Balance and Diversity teams, Pioneering Machine Learning/AI techniques for the office, etc.   About You   The successful candidate will have a balance of marketing and business strategy understanding, client-facing business service experience, and significant data and analytics expertise.
