DEINE ROLLE Als VP Finance (all genders) trägst du die strategische und operative Verantwortung für das gesamte Finanzwesen bei SYNAOS. Du arbeitest eng mit dem CEO zusammen, baust skalierbare Finanzstrukturen auf und bist ein entscheidender Verantwortlicher im Executive Committee von SYNAOS. Du kombinierst unternehmerisches Denken mit Hands-on-Mentalität — und weißt, wann du die Perspektive des Controllers und wann die des Strategen einnehmen musst. DEINE MISSION * Strategische Finanzplanung: Verantwortung für Mehrjahresplanung, Budget- und Forecastingprozesse sowie KPI-Frameworks — vom Umsatz bis zum Free Cashflow * Accounting & Controlling: Aktive Steuerung der gesamten Buchhaltung (Kreditoren, Debitoren, Mahnwesen) sowie kontinuierliche Optimierung und Automatisierung finanzrelevanter Prozesse * Financial Reporting: Verantwortung für Monats- und Jahresabschlüsse sowie internes und externes Reporting — inklusive SaaS-spezifischer Metriken (ARR, Churn, LTV/CAC) * Fundraising & Investor Relations: Eigenständige Führung und Weiterentwicklung des Finanzmodells für Finanzierungsrunden, Vorbereitung von Investorenberichten und Board-Präsentationen in enger Abstimmung mit dem CEO * Stakeholder Management: Zentrale Ansprechperson für Steuerberater, Wirtschaftsprüfer, Banken und interne Teams — souveränes Auftreten auf allen Ebenen * KI-gestützte Automatisierung: Gezielte Einsetzung von KI-Tools, um repetitive Finanzprozesse zu automatisieren, Analysen zu beschleunigen und die Finanzfunktion insgesamt effizienter zu machen * Teamaufbau: Mittelfristiger Ausbau und Führung eines kleinen Finance-Teams DEIN PROFIL * Mindestens 5 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung im Finance-Umfeld, idealerweise in einem B2B-SaaS- oder Tech-Startup * Abgeschlossenes Studium der BWL, Finanzen, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen oder vergleichbar; eine Qualifikation als Certified Controller / CPA ist ein Plus * Nachweisliche Erfahrung in der Begleitung von Finanzierungsrunden sowie im Aufbau von Finanz- und Reportingstrukturen von Grund auf * Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Business Modelling und ein tiefes Verständnis für Entrepreneurial Finance und SaaS Economics * Erfahrung im Umgang mit Datev oder vergleichbaren ERP-/Buchhaltungssystemen; sicherer Umgang mit Excel auf fortgeschrittenem Niveau * Aktive Nutzung von KI-Tools im Arbeitsalltag, Kenntnisse mit Claude oder vergleichbaren LLM-basierten Tools sind ein Plus * Ausgeprägtes unternehmerisches Denken kombiniert mit einer präzisen, strukturierten Arbeitsweise und hoher Zahlenaffinität und und keiner Berührungsangst mit operativen Finanzthemen * Fließende Kommunikation auf Deutsch und Englisch (mind. YOUR MISSION As VP Finance (all genders) at VÆRIDION, you will build and lead the financial backbone of a capital-intensive deep-tech aerospace scale-up. You will drive financial steering, ensure strong finance hygiene, and lead financing and fundraising activities to support our transition from development to industrialization. You will work closely with the executive leadership team and act as a key strategic partner across engineering, manufacturing, and business functions. A strong focus of this role lies on structuring and executing asset financing, venture debt, development credits, and fundraising activities in a dynamic, high-growth environment. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY * Own company-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Establish scalable financial governance, reporting standards, and KPI frameworks.  * Build scalable finance processes, tools, and systems supporting the transition from startup to industrial manufacturing organization. Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Business teams to support data-driven decisions. * Structure and execute asset financing solutions for equipment, tooling, and production assets. Lead structuring and negotiation of venture debt and development credit financing. Build and manage relationships with banks, debt providers, and financing partners. * Support equity fundraising processes including financial modeling, investor materials, and due diligence. Own financial data rooms, investor reporting, and financing-related analysis. * Support building and developing the finance function as the company scales. Act as sparring partner for executive leadership on financial strategy, risk, and capital allocation. YOUR PROFILE * Around 10 years of experience in Finance, Corporate Finance, Structured Finance, Investment, or similar. Experience in at least one startup, scale-up, or fast-growing dynamic environment is strongly preferred. * Proven experience in capital-intensive industries such as deep tech, aerospace, manufacturing, hardware, energy, or mobility. * Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Asset financing, Venture debt, Development / innovation credits, Project financing, Equity fundraising support * Strong financial modeling and scenario planning skills. Experience negotiating financing structures and term sheets. Understanding of manufacturing cost structures and CapEx planning. * Experience with public funding landscapes in Germany or the EU is a plus. Experience in regulated or certification-driven industries is a plus. * Strong ownership mindset with ability to operate strategically and execute operationally. * Ability to work in ambiguous and fast-moving environments. * Strong stakeholder communication across technical and business teams. * Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; German or another European language is a plus. THE ROLE As our Finance Manager - FP&A & Business Partnering, you will be at the heart of how Inato understands and steers its business. You will work closely with our VP Finance & People, a hands-on FP&A leader who will invest in your development and give you real ownership as you grow into the role. This is a company-wide position: you will contribute to financial reporting, planning, and business partnering across all functions. The scope is broad and the learning curve is steep, which is exactly the point. RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Reporting * Contribute to internal financial reporting, including monthly management packs and performance updates for the leadership team * Support the preparation of board-level financial materials: clear, accurate, and decision-ready * Help build and maintain reporting frameworks that give the business a reliable view of its financial health Planning & Forecasting * Contribute to the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts * Build and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making * Track performance against plan and flag risks and opportunities * Develop an understanding of our AI compute cost structure, a core driver of our unit economics, and reflect it accurately in models * Contribute to financial modeling of our revenue streams and help track business model evolution * Work with commercial and product teams to maintain revenue forecasts grounded in operational reality QUALIFICATIONS * 4-6 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or management consulting * Solid financial modeling skills: you are comfortable building and working with structured models * Strong analytical skills and strong communication: you turn data into clear narratives, and you can explain difficult concepts in plain terms to any audience, in writing or in conversation * A high bar for accuracy: you know the devil is in the details, and you have a talent for catching errors before they matter * Hungry to learn: you ask good questions, seek feedback, and want to grow quickly * An entrepreneurial mindset: you like challenges, you are comfortable getting hands-on, and you thrive in environments where things are still being figured out * Some experience or strong appetite for business partnering: you enjoy working with people outside of finance, translating numbers into decisions, and contributing to cross-functional conversations * Background in startup, scale-up, or consulting, ideally a mix * Based in France NICE TO HAVE * Tech sector experience * Working knowledge of accounting concepts, enough to collaborate effectively with an accounting team * Familiarity with AI tools and comfort integrating them into day-to-day analytical work WHY INATO?
