At Alpine Eagle, we are a team of specialists with backgrounds in defence, aerospace engineering and machine learning, building
the first airborne, swarm-based system to provide protection against the rising drone threat. We believe that recent conflicts
have shown the malicious and disruptive potential of drones in both civilian and defense scenarios. In addition, we are convinced
that the next step in counter-drone is air-to-air. We want to ensure that all governments and institutions that believe in
personal freedom and the rule of law have cutting edge solutions to protect against this rising threat.
We offer a work environment that is inclusive and open, with a flat hierarchy, and a purpose-driven team. We want to reinforce a
culture where great ideas can flourish, and great people collaborate.
We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Flight Test Engineer to support unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight testing in support of
our Counter-UAS systems. You will be at the front lines of system validation - working closely with hardware, software, and
mission teams to plan, execute, and evaluate test flights of drone systems and their intercept capabilities.
At Alpine Eagle, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of
ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, or sexual identity.
At Alpine Eagle, we’re building the future of counter-drone defence. We’re a fast-growing, international deep-tech company working at the intersection of aerospace engineering, defence systems, and machine learning. Our goal: create the world’s first swarm-based, airborne counter-drone system. Modern conflicts show how quickly drones are reshaping the battlefield. Threats are rising, and today’s solutions aren’t keeping pace. We’re here to change that. Alpine Eagle isn’t just a defence company. It’s a mission. Backed by an international team, strong funding, and a bold vision, we’re looking for people who want to shape the next generation of aerial security and build something that truly matters. 🎯 How you will make an impact: * Take part in the development of software components that enable development and operation of our next-generation airborne counter UAS solutions. Depending on your personal qualification, this may cover simulation, algorithms, tooling, and/or infrastructure. * Collaborate closely with the hard- and software team to deliver seamless integration and continuous improvement. * Evaluate and test your software in our lab and at our test sites. ✅ What you need to be successful: * Background in informatics, electrical engineering, or a similar field. * Strong programming skills, particularly in Python; experience with C++ is literally a plus. * Proven track record in applied software development using version control, agile methods, and test-driven development. * Experience in developing and shipping real-world robotic applications that are powered by ROS (2). * Experience with robotic simulators (at least one of Gazebo, MuJoCo, Isaac Gym, or Airsim) and PX4-based flight controllers is a plus. * Proactive and organized team player. * Valid work permit (citizenship or visa) for Germany. * Currently enrolled in a university within Germany. At Alpine Eagle, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, or sexual identity.
