About the role
Working Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00, you’ll lead a team of Customer Service Coordinators, ensuring customer queries are handled
efficiently while maintaining high service standards. You’ll also support key administrative and coordination activities across
the wider logistics operation.

You’ll have proven experience leading or supervising a team, with the ability to motivate, develop, and support colleagues in a
fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You’ll be confident delegating tasks, managing performance, and working collaboratively across departments.

If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as a Warehouse Operations Manager in Kettering. Be part of the movement - and play your part. About the role As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of our 250,000 sq. ft. distribution and cross dock facility in Kettering. Leading a large operational team, you will ensure exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and full compliance with customer, company, and legal requirements. This is a key leadership position that will support the continued growth of the site, including the transition from a two shift operation to a three shift operation as customer volumes increase. You will be responsible for: * Leading the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and cross-dock facility, ensuring customer, productivity, and operational targets are achieved * Managing warehouse teams through supervisors and team leaders, fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, and teamwork * Overseeing inbound, outbound, storage, inventory, and cross-dock activities while maintaining stock integrity and efficient resource utilisation * Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, service levels, and cost efficiency * Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, quality standards, and customer requirements * Managing operational budgets, labour costs, forecasting activities, and overall cost performance * Monitoring and improving key performance indicators including OTIF, productivity, picking accuracy, stock accuracy, labour utilisation, customer service, and Health & Safety performance About you You'll have proven experience in a Warehouse Operations Manager role within a logistics, distribution, supply chain, or 3PL environment, with a strong track record of leading large, fast-paced warehouse operations. Experience managing multi-shift teams, warehouse management systems (WMS), operational budgets, and customer-facing service delivery is essential. You'll be a strong people leader who can motivate, develop, and inspire teams while maintaining high standards of performance and accountability. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills are key, alongside the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving operational environment. Experience in Lean Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies would be advantageous, as would IOSH, NEBOSH, or CPC qualifications. About the role The Commercial Business Development Manager – Midlands & South is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across the Midland & Southern UK region by identifying, securing, and developing freight customers aligned to DFDS's network and strategic growth objectives. Extensive travel across the Midlands and Southern UK region is an essential requirement of this role, with regular customer visits, networking events, and on-site business development activities forming a key part of the position. The role will focus on generating new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing customers, increasing modal share, and delivering tailored logistics solutions across DFDS's shipping and international freight services. Working closely with Commercial, Account Management, Internal Sales and Operational teams, the role will contribute to achieving ambitious revenue and volume targets while enhancing customer satisfaction and retention. You will be responsible for: * Identifying and securing new customers across the Midlands, London, and South West * Managing a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and networking activities * Conducting customer meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations * Promoting the full range of DFDS freight and logistics solutions * Supporting tenders, proposals, and commercial agreements * Building strategic relationships with key decision-makers * Working closely with account management and operational teams to deliver customer success About you You'll have a proven track record in business development or sales within logistics, transport, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain sectors. You'll be commercially driven, highly self‑motivated, and confident building relationships with customers at all levels. Experience managing complex sales cycles and exceeding revenue targets is essential, along with the flexibility to travel extensively throughout the region. In addition, you will work one weekend per month from home (9:00am–5:30pm), with time off in lieu provided during the week. Some bank holiday working will also be required, with time off in lieu.
