Krav: Som konsult i detta uppdrag kommer du att spela en nyckelroll i utvecklingen av komponenter och processer inom additiv tillverkning. Du ansvarar för att granska och analysera konstruktionsunderlag för att säkerställa producerbarhet med olika AM-tekniker, samt för att vägleda i val av lämplig process och material beroende på krav och applikation. Du kommer även att: Utarbeta business case och kostnadskalkyler för potentiella AM-artiklar Ge rådgivning kring byggorientering, supportstrategier och efterbearbetning för att säkerställa rätt kvalitet och toleranser Fungera som projektkoordinator för specifika komponenter, i nära samarbete med affärsenheter och både interna och externa produktionspartners Genomföra och vidareutveckla interna workshops och utbildningsmaterial inom DfAM och AM-processer Detta är en central roll med stora möjligheter att påverka hur vår kund arbetar med framtidens tillverkningsteknik. Kravprofil För att lyckas i uppdraget ser vi att du har: - 3–7 års relevant erfarenhet inom tillverkning, utveckling eller produktionsnära teknik (nivå 3) - Dokumenterad erfarenhet av additiv tillverkning (AM), gärna med fokus på metallprinting - God förståelse för CNC-teknik och/eller gjutningsprocesser - Teknisk utbildning inom maskinteknik eller motsvarande område - Erfarenhet av DfAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing) - Förmåga att driva och hålla workshops, utbildningar och interna kunskapsdelningar - Erfarenhet av att arbeta tvärfunktionellt som projektkoordinator Personlig lämplighet värderas högt – vi söker en nyfiken, kommunikativ och lösningsorienterad konsult med genuint intresse för teknik och produktion. As an Additive Manufacturing Development Engineer at Freeform, you will play a critical role in the development of our advanced metal 3D printing technology including machine functionality, part quality analysis, print file preparation/generation, and providing DFAM recommendations for some of the world’s largest manufacturers. You will own projects from cradle to grave as a responsible engineer, taking customer designs from concept through printing, testing, and delivery. You will develop a fundamental understanding of the printing factory and will leverage your technical insights to advance system capabilities using a first principles mindset.  This is a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from leaders and pioneers in the metal additive manufacturing space to disrupt the industry with our autonomous printing factory technology.     Responsibilities: * Understand printing system capabilities and roadmap, and work with internal engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to implement solutions that further automate the printing process for high volume production * Drive all stages of print production development including design for additive manufacturing (DFAM) feedback, file preparation, printing, post processing, and quality control * Analyze in-situ data and post-print part quality to drive continuous improvement * Use first-principles thinking to understand problems, define test methods, evaluate solutions, iterate and provide technical recommendations to internal and external stakeholders * Document application requirements and objectives, statements of work, standard operating procedures, next steps and action items to align all internal and external team members * Interface with external customers to communicate Freeform’s technical capabilities; work with customers on improving Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) * Contribute to Freeform’s internal technology development with feedback from internal and external stakeholders via detailed design and systems level improvements  Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an ABET accredited university or college * Hands on design experience from internships or engineering clubs such as FSAE, Baja SAE, rocket club, robotics club, or similar * Full life-cycle hardware design experience from hand calcs to CAD to fabrication and testing * Well-versed in mechanical engineering fundamentals and comfortable taking a first-principles approach to solving problems Nice to Have: * Experience with metal 3D printing * Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering * Strong academic track record * Passion for additive manufacturing * Scrappy, first-principles approach to solving hard problems * Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude * Detail oriented with excellent verbal, graphical, and technical communication skills * DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) or LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) experience * Process development experience for metal additive manufacturing * Scripting experience in Matlab (or similar) for toolpath generation * Experience working with internal and/or external customers * Mechanical systems design experience  Location: * Based in Hawthorne, our vertically integrated facility brings technology development, R&D, and production together under one roof. Additive Manufacturing Technician (Post Processing Operations)

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN  Freeform builds AI-native manufacturing systems that unify software, hardware, and physics to produce industrial-scale parts at the speed of human ideation. By treating manufacturing as a single integrated system, we unlock a new era of innovation where complex hardware is designed, built, and scaled without limits. As an Additive Manufacturing Technician at Freeform, you will play a critical role in the post processing of 3D printed parts for the world’s most additive manufacturing systems.  You will own everything required to go from finished print to shipping parts out to customers including powder handling, EDM operation, support removal, surface finishing, inspection, and more. We are looking for someone with extreme attention to detail and a keen eye for process improvements to help Freeform scale to mass production. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment, will take pride in their work, and will have a no-job-too-big-or-small mentality.    Responsibilities:   * Operate, maintain, and monitor machinery such as wire EDMs, surface grinders, sand blasters, deburring tools, bandsaws and handle metal powders  * Post process printed parts including depowering, precision cleaning, removing supports, and surface-finishing  * Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline post processing operations to enable mass production   * Help turnover builds, ensuring powders, tools, and equipment are available at all times  * Assist with visual inspection and shipment of final parts   Basic Qualifications:   * 1+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing process support or precision deburring of machined parts  Nice to Have:  * Experience in operating complex equipment   * Skilled with manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting and/or bending of stainless steels, aluminums, and high-strength nickel alloys  * Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment  * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs unassisted  * Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time  * Must be available and willing to work overtime when needed   * Safety conscience   * Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint  Location:   * Based in Hawthorne, our vertically integrated facility brings technology development, R&D, and production together under one roof.
