Vi ser en økende oppdragsmengde i vår avdeling for Missile Systems, Hardware Development (mekanikk), og har derfor behov for å styrke vår kapasitet og kompetanse innen Additive Manufacturing (AM).
Som Project Engineer AM, vil du spille en sentral rolle i vår AM-satsing. Du vil samarbeide tett med tverrfaglige team for å utvikle og implementere innovative løsninger innen metallprinting. Ditt hovedansvar vil være å drive teknologisk utvikling, optimalisere prosesser og sikre høy kvalitet på produkter som produseres gjennom AM-metoder.
Du vil få muligheten til å jobbe i et høykompetent teknisk miljø i Kongsberg Teknologipark, i avdelingen for mekanisk utvikling. Her vil du inngå i et tverrfaglig team bestående av 90 ingeniører innen mekanisk design, analyse og testing. Krav: Som konsult i detta uppdrag kommer du att spela en nyckelroll i utvecklingen av komponenter och processer inom additiv tillverkning. As an Additive Manufacturing Development Engineer at Freeform, you will play a critical role in the development of our advanced metal 3D printing technology including machine functionality, part quality analysis, print file preparation/generation, and providing DFAM recommendations for some of the world’s largest manufacturers. You will own projects from cradle to grave as a responsible engineer, taking customer designs from concept through printing, testing, and delivery. You will develop a fundamental understanding of the printing factory and will leverage your technical insights to advance system capabilities using a first principles mindset. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from leaders and pioneers in the metal additive manufacturing space to disrupt the industry with our autonomous printing factory technology. As an Additive Manufacturing Technician at Freeform, you will play a critical role in the post processing of 3D printed parts for the world’s most additive manufacturing systems. You will own everything required to go from finished print to shipping parts out to customers including powder handling, EDM operation, support removal, surface finishing, inspection, and more. We are looking for someone with extreme attention to detail and a keen eye for process improvements to help Freeform scale to mass production. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment, will take pride in their work, and will have a no-job-too-big-or-small mentality. Responsibilities: * Operate, maintain, and monitor machinery such as wire EDMs, surface grinders, sand blasters, deburring tools, bandsaws and handle metal powders * Post process printed parts including depowering, precision cleaning, removing supports, and surface-finishing * Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline post processing operations to enable mass production * Help turnover builds, ensuring powders, tools, and equipment are available at all times * Assist with visual inspection and shipment of final parts Basic Qualifications: * 1+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing process support or precision deburring of machined parts Nice to Have: * Experience in operating complex equipment * Skilled with manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting and/or bending of stainless steels, aluminums, and high-strength nickel alloys * Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs unassisted * Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time * Must be available and willing to work overtime when needed * Safety conscience * Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Location: * Based in Hawthorne, our vertically integrated facility brings technology development, R&D, and production together under one roof.
