Kongsberg Maritime is experiencing significant growth within the maritime defence segment. To strengthen our position as a strategic partner and provider of integrated maritime solutions to the Royal Norwegian Navy, we are now establishing a clearer and more holistic approach to customer engagement within Naval Systems.
We are looking for a Director Strategic Accounts, Norwegian Navy, who will hold overall commercial and strategic responsibility for the relationship between Kongsberg Maritime and the Royal Norwegian Navy and Coast Guard, ensuring a coordinated, long-term and customer-oriented approach across the organisation.
For many years, Kongsberg Maritime has delivered advanced products, systems and services to navies and coastguards worldwide. In Norway, we play a particularly important role in supporting the Royal Norwegian Navy’s operational capability through technology, deliveries and long-term collaboration.
Looking ahead, increased activity is expected within new vessel programmes, modernisation of existing capabilities, digital solutions, unmanned and autonomous systems, as well as integrated bridge, automation, energy and control systems. This places high demands on strategic customer understanding, clear prioritisation and coordinated follow-up across sales, technology, projects and aftermarket services.
In this role, you will be Kongsberg Maritime’s key point of contact towards the Royal Norwegian Navy, responsible for developing the relationship, identifying new opportunities and ensuring that KM acts in a unified, relevant and proactive manner in its engagement with one of our most important defence customers.
Periods of extensive travel must be expected

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Customer Director for Maritime Defence, you will lead the creation and growth of a dedicated unit focused on solutions for customers in the Royal Navy, NATO/AUKUS and broader maritime domain. You will act as a strategic entrepreneur, building our market presence and bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI and mission-critical naval needs. By blending deep domain expertise with commercial flair, you will secure high-stakes partnerships and oversee multidisciplinary teams to ensure our technology delivers transformational capability for national security. Area of responsibility You will support sales and delivery teams throughout the full contract lifecycle – from early strategy development to project execution. We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer who will contribute throughout the entire sales process – from early business development and solution design to contract and project start-up. For many years, Kongsberg Maritime has successfully delivered products such as propulsion systems and stabilizers to navies and coast guards around the world. Going forward, further growth is expected by offering a broader portfolio of products, solutions, and services to the defence market. This growth will largely be driven by expansion within bridge, automation and control systems, energy and power solutions, as well as digital services such as maritime simulators. Uncrewed and autonomous vessels are and will continue to be an important component of future naval forces.
