Mollie is evolving from a payment processor into a full financial services provider, and our infrastructure needs to be as
ambitious as our vision. As Engineering Manager for our Edge & Network team in the Platform Engineering domain, you will lead the
team responsible for the very entry point of our ecosystem. You’ll own the global traffic management, security, and connectivity
that ensure our services are fast, reliable, and secure for hundreds of thousands of merchants.
This isn't just about keeping the lights on; it’s about architecting a world-class platform that enables our product teams to ship
with confidence. You’ll drive the technical roadmap for our edge services and service mesh, balancing high-performance engineering

Experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued but you are willing to work with PHP or Java. * Proven experience in leading architectural decisions and technical initiatives, delivering end-to-end solutions, and optimising processes. * Experience in mentoring junior developers and implementing strategies to drive team growth and skill development. * Excellent communication skills, with experience working effectively with various stakeholders. Can explain complex problems and solutions in simple terms. * Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ideas with a product-first approach, as well as analyse and resolve complex issues. * Ability to hold yourself accountable for your tasks, and show a willingness to proactively identify and improve things, whether technical or business related.

At GoCardless, our Fraud Prevention team develops the intelligent systems that protect our platform, our merchants, and their customers. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will guide the design and delivery of models that operate in real time across our global payment network. You’ll work at the intersection of machine learning, graph-based detection, and behavioural modelling to stay ahead of changing patterns turning research into production systems that make a tangible difference in the fight against financial crime. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineers, Fraud Analysts, and Product Managers to help shape the technical roadmap as we expand into new markets. Our stack is centred around Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI, using Python, SQL, and BigQuery to build and support high-performance models at scale.
