The Front Office AI Technology Team sits within the Front Office Technology department and provides a shared capability for the
development, operation, and adoption of AI across the firm. The team is responsible for building and supporting enterprise‑grade
AI capabilities, including LLM‑powered applications, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems, agent‑assisted workflows, and
scalable internal AI tooling.
We develop the core AI foundations required to deploy AI safely and at scale, while also working closely with the business to
ensure these capabilities are used effectively in day‑to‑day workflows. This includes supporting experimentation, guiding
practical adoption, and helping teams embed AI into real processes where it delivers measurable benefit.
A key focus of The Front Office AI Technology Team is ensuring that AI solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with the firm’s
control and risk frameworks. The team balances innovation with discipline, providing common tooling, patterns, and guidance that
allow AI to be used consistently and responsibly across research and operational contexts.

The firm is investing heavily in modern AI platforms and tools, but technology alone does not create value. Real impact comes when
teams change how they work. This role exists to help front‑office and technology teams translate AI capability into everyday
practice, replacing one‑off experimentation with well‑understood patterns, better habits, and repeatable workflows. Through
hands‑on enablement, training, and applied problem‑solving, the AI Integration Lead ensures that AI use is both effective and
appropriately governed, allowing teams to move faster without increasing operational or compliance risk.
This role offers the chance to work directly with trading desks, providing a rare and exciting opportunity to gain direct
front-office exposure. You’ll work at the intersection of business context and applied AI: understanding how teams operate, then
helping them adopt approved AI tools safely and effectively through training, workflow mapping, and lightweight prototyping. It’s
ideal for someone who enjoys ambiguity, values practical impact over hype, and wants to see their work change how teams operate

You are a bright and approachable individual who works well with others and enjoys understanding how different teams operate in
practice. You are comfortable engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and are able to communicate clearly and
pragmatically. Alongside your technical experience, you may bring experience from a client‑facing or commercially oriented role
earlier in your career, which helps you understand business priorities and frame solutions in a way that resonates with users.
You have a strong interest in applied AI and a genuine curiosity about how emerging tools can improve the way people work. You are
motivated to explore new capabilities, experiment hands‑on, and understand where AI can add value in real workflows. Your approach
is practical rather than theoretical, and you are focused on achievable improvements rather than technology for its own sake.
You take a considered and responsible approach to AI integration. You are aware of the limitations of AI tools and the importance
of appropriate controls, validation, and oversight, particularly in a regulated environment. You are comfortable discussing both
the benefits and constraints of AI with users, helping set realistic expectations and encouraging sensible use.
You work well in collaborative environments where priorities and requirements evolve. You are adaptable, open to feedback, and
comfortable learning by doing. You take satisfaction from helping others build confidence with new tools and from supporting inte
across teams, bringing a constructive and measured mindset to your work.
BlueCrest is committed to providing an inclusive environment for its workforce. As an employer, we provide equal opportunities to
all people regardless of their gender, marital or civil partnership status, race, religion or ethnicity, disability, age, sexual
orientation or nationality.

THE ROLE - WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data and Analytics team. Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The position is more than just a "warehouse developer" role. You will work cross-functionally with various departments—to understand their workflows, model their data, and build the "connective tissue" that makes the business move faster. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of a data product: from identifying a business need to building the dbt models and ensuring that transformed data is accessible where it's needed most. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OWNERSHIP OF THE MODERN DATA STACK (DBT & BIGQUERY) * Act as a lead developer for our dbt project. * Build performant, modular, and well-tested models that turn data into a reliable "Source of Truth." * Apply software engineering rigor to the data stack: version control (Git), documentation, unit testing, and CI/CD. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL AUTOMATION & INTELLIGENCE * Partner with business leads across the company to identify manual processes that can be streamlined through data automation. * Bridge the gap between the warehouse and the business by "closing the loop"—ensuring data isn't just sitting in a dashboard but is actively driving operational tools and decision-making. * AI Integration: Leverage AI tools and LLMs to accelerate development cycles, automate documentation, and explore new ways to enhance data quality. STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT * Act as a consultant to business leads. Don't just "take tickets"—understand the underlying business logic and propose better ways to structure data. * Translate loosely defined business requirements into robust, automated technical solutions. * Data Quality Advocacy: Work closely with stakeholders to define data quality standards and establish feedback loops that ensure data captured in upstream systems is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose. What are we looking for Essential Skills and Experience * 3+ years of experience in a high-growth data environment (Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or Technical Data Analyst). * Modern Data Stack Specialist: Deep, practical knowledge of dbt and cloud warehouses (we use BigQuery, but the experience is very transferrable). * Expert-level SQL: You write complex, clean, and performant queries. * Python Literacy: Not a software developer, but you must be comfortable reading code, writing scripts for data manipulation, and handling API. * AI Comfort: You are an "AI-first" builder who is comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to write code faster, debug, and stay ahead of the curve. * Ownership Mindset: You are comfortable working independently, managing your own roadmap, and taking accountability for the entire warehouse architecture. * Exceptional Communication: You can walk into a room with a non-technical team, understand their pain points, and explain your technical solution in plain English. Desired Skills and Experience: * Workflow Automation: Experience with tools like n8n, Zapier, or similar automation platforms. * BI/Semantic Platforms: Experience with Looker, Thoughtspot, or similar. * Industry Context: Experience in Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Cryptocurrency. * Reverse ETL: Familiarity with moving data from the warehouse back into SaaS tools. SO, WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? Our people are constantly striving to be the best through operational excellence. The professional development and learning opportunities create an agile, hardworking, conscientious, and knowledgeable team. The opportunities for personal growth are exponential. You grow as the business grows. The roles and responsibilities are broad and ever-changing, and the dynamism of BCB keeps you engaged and highly motivated. At BCB, you don’t just work for your manager; they work for you too. We believe in empowering individuals to create a culture of personal growth, together. We focus on driving empowerment from the bottom up, up-skilling every individual at every level. This means our team has a sense of commonality and belonging, driven by a shared belief in our mission. We’re passionate about our business, our people, and providing 360-degree support for success. * The chance to operate at the forefront of our industry * You can talk to anyone in the business as there are no barriers and everyone is accessible * You will be collaborating with teams on a hybrid working arrangement * We value team success where every individual can grow and prosper * 30 days annual leave each year, excluding bank holidays * 4 wellbeing days per year to prioritise your mental health * 1 company volunteering day per year * Strong benefits package including; Private Healthcare, Pension, Income Protection (long-term absence), Life Insurance, Menopause Policy, and an enhanced Parental Leave policy BCB GROUP BCB Group is a leading provider of regulated payment and trading services in crypto and fiat for the digital asset economy.
