Every day, and with each new breakthrough, we’re getting closer to the promise of digital biology, and achieving our ambitious mission to one day solve all disease with the help of AI.   YOUR IMPACT  As a key member of the Support team, this role will directly influence the efficiency and effectiveness of our support operations, ultimately contributing to a positive user experience and the overall productivity of the company. This position offers the opportunity to shape our support strategy, drive innovation through automation, and play a vital role in scaling our teams to support future growth. WHAT YOU WILL DO  * Provide technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing solutions. * Develop and maintain automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. * Manage and integrate 3rd party tools and APIs to enhance system functionality. * Collaborate with other teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes. * Document technical solutions and create knowledge base articles. * Assist with the technical onboarding of new employees, ensuring they have the necessary tools and access. * Work with vendors and partners to deliver shared technology and communication services. * Develop and maintain workflows and processes for internal support and vendor engagements. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS  ESSENTIAL: * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Google access provisioning and permission lifecycle. * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). * Experience supporting a wide range of hardware and software (macOS, Linux essential). * Experience with scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python etc.) * Background partnering with the onboarding team to set up IT equipment and knowledge off how to off-board employees.  * Experience managing and integrating 3rd party tools and APIs. * Experience with ticketing systems * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong customer service orientation. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. * A desire to learn and grow in the role. NICE TO HAVE: * Knowledge of security best practices. * Experience with developer experience tools. * Excellent documentation skills, with a focus on accuracy and clarity. Your Future Role within QRT You will: * Support the implementation and operation of product security controls across cloud services, core infrastructure, and business applications on Windows and Linux platforms * Work with engineering teams to integrate security into system design and development, applying practical approaches suitable for fast-moving environments * Contribute to secure software development practices, including supporting security reviews across languages such as Python, C++, Rust, Go, and Kotlin/Java * Perform threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and security code reviews with guidance from senior team members * Assist with integrating and operating security tooling (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning) within CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments * Identify security risks and contribute to remediation and mitigation plans with engineering teams * Perform vendor security reviews to assess third-party security practices against internal standards * Build your product security knowledge and share learnings with peers across engineering teams Your Present Skillset * 3–5 years of experience in product security, application security, software engineering, or a related role * Hands-on experience with secure coding practices and at least one of: Python, C++, Rust, Go, Kotlin/Java * Solid technical foundation in software development, system architecture, or infrastructure, with a strong interest in security * Working knowledge of security principles and common vulnerabilities affecting software, cloud platforms, and business applications * Experience securing Windows and/or Linux-based systems * Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS or Microsoft Azure), ideally in hybrid environments * Familiarity with threat modelling, vulnerability management, and risk assessment concepts * Experience using or integrating security scanning tools into development workflows and/or CI/CD pipelines * Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment * Exposure to low-latency or performance-sensitive systems * Experience in financial services and/or regulated environments * Interest in automation and security tooling development QRT is an equal opportunity employer. Speechmatics

We're looking for an Infrastructure Team Lead to take ownership of the systems that power our AI research and development, ranging from bare metal GPU clusters through to the internal services our engineers rely on every day.  This is a broad role with technical depth and people leadership. You will set the technical direction of the Infrastructure team, drive reliability and continuous improvements across the stack – from physical layer through to the software layer. Additionally, you will be investing in your engineers through 1:1s, coaching and creating career development opportunities.  We’re a team that gets things done properly and multiplies the impact of others. If that sounds like an exciting problem, we’d love to talk.  What you'll be doing  * Leading, managing, and developing a team of Infrastructure Engineers, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture * We are heavy users of infrastructure as code and automation, so you will be hands-on with PXE booting, Ansible for configuration, Terraform for VMware deployments and Helm for Kubernetes deployments * Conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning to build technical capability and support career progression * Owning operational stability across our infrastructure, including hardware monitoring, troubleshooting and disaster recovery testing * Acting as the escalation point for technical and operational issues, leading major incident response and driving resolution * Leading infrastructure strategy, including capacity and project planning * Driving standardisation, automation and optimisation to reduce toil * Leading vendor relationships with hardware vendors, managed service providers and other external contacts  Who we are looking for  * Proven experience in an Infrastructure Team Lead or Senior Engineer role, with strong people management and coaching skills * Experience leading or mentoring engineers, including setting objectives and supporting career development * A desire to go deep into any subject and a genuine love of learning on the job * Broad knowledge of the infrastructure supporting distributed systems — operating systems, observability tooling, networking, storage, containers and container orchestration * Comfortable troubleshooting Linux systems (we use Ubuntu) * Solid experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling — we use Terraform and Ansible extensively * Experience with bare metal provisioning — we use PXE booting to automate hardware OS installs * Strong networking configuration and troubleshooting skills, including DNS/DHCP/IPAM * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and report up and out  We encourage you to apply even if you do not feel you match all of the requirements exactly.
