The way companies innovate is broken. The systems built to create and protect ideas can’t keep up with the pace of change. Today,
90% of S&P 500 company value is intangible (e.g., in intellectual property) - yet R&D and IP teams spend half their time buried in
manual work, sifting through patents and paperwork instead of pushing the frontier forward. The tools of creating and protecting
are stuck in the past. We’re here to fix that.
Ankar is building the R&D tools for the AI era and defining what applied research will look like in the next 20 years. We’re
building infrastructure and product experiences our customers rely on every day. You’ll translate messy, ambiguous problems into
clean, dependable software—and you’ll do it at the cutting-edge of AI.

ABOUT CARBONCHAIN Want to work on the most pressing challenge of our generation? If you have experience building exceptional products, know how to execute at scale, and want to help build a company for the long term, we'd love to hear from you. CarbonChain helps the world’s biggest supply chains measure and reduce their carbon emissions, using verified primary data where possible, and robust defaults where it isn’t. We build software that turns messy, real-world operational and supplier information into decision-grade carbon and compliance insights, so teams can act: improve sourcing, meet regulations like CBAM, and deliver credible reporting to customers, investors, and regulators. We’re a product-led company operating in a high-stakes domain. Data quality, auditability, reliability, and trust matter as much as speed. If you enjoy building systems that customers rely on, and shipping improvements that measurably change behaviour across a network, you’ll feel at home here. OUR PRODUCT Our platform combines real-world emissions data with our customers' supply chain information to create actionable insights. We help sustainability teams answer critical questions: Where are the emissions hotspots in our supply chain? Which suppliers should we prioritize? What's the carbon impact of switching vendors or routes? A major focus of what we’re building right now is supplier engagement and CBAM data management: * enabling installations (goods producers) to prepare, manage, and share CBAM datasets through guided product carbon accounting workflows; * improving our supplier database and connection management to support sharing across supply chains; * and building ingestion pipelines that turn messy customer files into structured, provenance-tracked, insights-ready data. Beyond CBAM, our platform supports product and corporate carbon footprinting used by some of the world’s largest commodities producers and traders, helping teams move from data collection to credible reporting and decision-making ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and customers. This is a full-stack role with a frontend and product focus - you'll build features that users love and stick around to see how they're adopted. You'll work closely with Product Managers, commercial team, and customers to ship solutions that solve real problems. We're looking for someone who's worked in a startup environment and knows how to move fast, iterate based on feedback, and build with the customer in mind. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Build end-to-end features across the full stack, with a focus on creating polished, intuitive user experiences * Own features from ideation through to user adoption - you'll help define what we build, ship it, and measure its impact well after go-live and show true customer obsession * Work directly with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and validate solutions * Collaborate closely with Product Managers and designers to turn ideas into shipped features, making trade-offs and iterating rapidly * Partner with teams outside of Product & Engineering - like Sales, Customer Success, and Carbon Team - to understand how our product is used and what problems need solving * Build with modern frontend technologies while being comfortable diving into backend work when needed * Contribute to product thinking and help shape our roadmap based on what you're seeing and hearing from users * Think critically and pragmatically - ship MVPs quickly to learn from REAL users, and iterate WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 3+ years building applications across the full development lifecycle * Experience developing modern web applications, ideally in a startup environment * Strong collaboration skills - you work closely with Product to ideate features, advise on trade-offs, and iterate on what we've built * Passion for building customer-centric products and genuine curiosity about user problems * Experience working on features from ideation through to driving user adoption * Expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend development (experience with Angular is a plus) * Full-stack capabilities - comfortable working with Python backends (Python expertise is not a strict requirement) * Knowledge of relational databases, job queues, cloud infrastructure and how web applications work end-to-end * Comfortable with the startup pace and pragmatic decision-making * Bonus: SaaS or B2B product experience * Bonus: experience in climate tech or sustainability WHAT WE OFFER Meaningful impact and accelerated growth This is a rare opportunity to work on technology that directly addresses the climate crisis while shaping the future of a fast-growing company. You'll have significant influence over our technical direction and product strategy - the kind of impact that typically takes decades to achieve elsewhere. You'll tackle diverse challenges, work across the full stack of problems (technical and otherwise), and own meaningful projects from start to finish. If you want to learn quickly, take on real responsibility, and see the direct results of your work, this is the place to do it. Competitive salary and benefits: * 28 days annual leave * £500 home office setup allowance * £2,000 annual learning allowance * Private healthcare * Generous parental leave policy * Weekly team lunches in the office * Office gym, and cycle to work scheme CarbonChain values diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds. If you think your skills and experience match what we’re looking for and you’d like to join the next Climate Tech industry unicorn, please get in touch! You can find out more about interviewing at CarbonChain at https://www.carbonchain.com/careers/interview-process.
TL;DR: This is not a regular engineering job. We’re looking for exceptional builders who help us design and ship systems that define how the world’s largest companies operate in the age of AI. WHY CONDUCT The world's largest companies are slowed down by the software they run on. We’re building the AI operating system that absorbs IT complexity and unlocks entirely new levels of speed, output, and ambition. We believe this is a generation-defining mission. Major enterprises already trust us with their most critical systems, we just closed a $50M+ Series A from top-tier funds, and we're still early enough that what you build here defines the company. We're a small, talent-dense team doing our life's work at Conduct - we value extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. If you bring that same drive, we will make sure this is the place you do yours too. WHO WE HIRE We are relentless builders, and we're looking for people who share that obsession with shipping to customers. We look for exceptional talent, regardless where you spike. This might be l in engineering fundamentals, agent harness design, product sense, or how AI systems behave and fail. If you spike in one of these you might be a fit. Confident enough to own it, generalist enough to operate across the stack when it counts. You'll stand out if you: * Build with AI natively, not as an afterthought * Have shipped agentic systems — side projects absolutely count * Bring strong, pragmatic engineering instincts * Have sharp product instincts and a drive to solve customers’ problems * Are obsessed with how AI systems behave, fail, and improve Experience level matters less than the quality of your thinking and the evidence of what you've shipped. We hire the best to join our team in London, wherever they come from (we sponsor visas!). We’re convinced diverse teams ship better products and especially encourage underrepresented groups in tech to reach out. WHAT YOU’LL OWN Everything from inception to shipped product. You'll own the full lifecycle: requirements gathering, research, conceptualisation, experimentation, implementation, and iteration. The shape of that work will vary and depend on where you spike - deep backend, forward-facing, genuinely full-stack - but the accountability never does. You'll speak to customers, shape product direction, and ship things that matter to some of the biggest companies in the world. OUR STACK Our stack prioritises what matters: shipping to customers—fast—without compromising on quality and engineering. Fundamentals are more important to us than familiarity with any technology or tool: if you're strong, we’re sure you'll pick it up fast. Here’s our setup: * React, Vite, TanStack frontend * Kotlin backend: Modern and expressive, paired with the maturity, tooling, and depth of the Java ecosystem. Lets us ship fast now without painting ourselves into a corner later. * Temporal and PortKey: Absorbs infrastructure complexity around durable execution and enterprise-compliant LLM routing, so we can focus on shipping instead. * Specialised LLM Harness: Built from hard-earned experience to give agents maximum freedom and intelligence without compromising on enterprise control, governance, or reliability.
