Attio is the CRM built for the AI era. Designed for the most ambitious go-to-market teams, it gives companies the power to understand every customer, automate at scale, and build their go-to-market motion exactly as they need. We've raised $116M from some of the world's best investors: GV (Google Ventures), Redpoint, Balderton, Point Nine, and 01A. We hire builders who thrive on complex technical challenges, hold themselves to a high bar, and genuinely care about delighting the people who use what they build. The team here brings sharp judgement, real craft, and the drive to do exceptional work. We're obsessed about the details and energized by the frontier. If you want to do the best work of your career, this is the right place. ABOUT THE ROLE Our Engineering team tackles the toughest challenges, so our users never have to. Real-time infrastructure, AI-native architecture, and a frontend that feels effortless - all powered by a team that moves fast, thinks rigorously, and holds an exceptionally high bar for quality. We’re looking for a Product Engineer who cares deeply about building beautiful, performant systems — and wants to help reinvent how millions of people work. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Use your strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript to implement product features in our Node.js backend and React frontend. * Be part of the teams that deliver cutting-edge user experiences in a high-performance, data-rich application, driven by your expertise with modern frontend development techniques or distributed systems. * Learn and grow from some of the best technical talent working in the industry today. * Represent Attio’s Product & Engineering values both internally and externally. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * Expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript. * A track record of independent delivery, solving real customer or product problems as part of a team. * A proactive, self-motivated problem solving attitude, with a strong passion for learning new skills and experimenting with new techniques. * A good understanding of how excellent technical work can create great user experiences. * An ability to communicate technical ideas to the wider team and influence stakeholders across Engineering, Product and Design. IT’S A BONUS IF YOU: * Have experience of building backends with Node.js, or frontends with React or another similar framework. * Have experience contributing to, or participating in open source projects. * Have experience working with data-rich applications, or processing large volumes of real-time data. * Love experimenting with new ideas, tools and techniques, and exploring new technologies. WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive salary of £80,000 to £95,000 * Equity in an early-stage tech company on an incredible trajectory * 25 days holiday plus local public holidays * Apple hardware * Private medical insurance through AXA * Pension contribution through Hargreaves Lansdown * Enhanced family leave * Team off-site in fun places! (We've been to Barcelona, Lisbon, Malta, and Split so far)
OVERVIEW The way companies innovate is broken. The systems built to create and protect ideas can’t keep up with the pace of change. Today, 90% of S&P 500 company value is intangible (e.g., in intellectual property) - yet R&D and IP teams spend half their time buried in manual work, sifting through patents and paperwork instead of pushing the frontier forward. The tools of creating and protecting are stuck in the past. We’re here to fix that. Ankar is building the R&D tools for the AI era and defining what applied research will look like in the next 20 years. We’re building infrastructure and product experiences our customers rely on every day. You’ll translate messy, ambiguous problems into clean, dependable software—and you’ll do it at the cutting-edge of AI. We’re at an inflection point: * We’ve raised >$24M to date from Tier-1 VCs like Atomico, Index Ventures, Norrsken, Daphni, and angels like the Founder of Hugging Face, CEO from Datadog, and Leaders from DeepMind and OpenAI. * We’re already working with the world’s most innovative companies including Fortune 500 company L’Oréal and global law firm Vorys * Expanding our world-class team with alumni from Palantir, Amazon, and BCG to tackle the $1T+ innovation market. We’re just getting started. What you’ll do: * Build world-class product. Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable systems and user-facing product experiences that customers depend on. * Ship fast and iterate constantly. Deliver quickly, learn from real feedback, and refine the product week by week with direct access to customers. * Own end-to-end execution. Take full ownership of projects across frontend, backend, and deployment—from design to implementation to monitoring and maintenance. * Partner deeply with teammates and customers. Collaborate closely with product, design, and customer-facing teams and customers themselves to ensure what we build is useful, usable, and impactful. Culture at Ankar: Culture at Ankar is how we think, build, and operate. We’re building a generational company that redefines how the world’s best R&D teams create and protect ideas. * Contrarian - we think from first principles: We think deeply, question assumptions, and build from first principles. The best ideas come from clarity and rigour. * Creative - we build with taste: We’re building the R&D tools for the AI era and shaping what applied research looks like over the next 20 years. We care about precision, quality, and systems that last. * Competitive - we play to win: We move with urgency and set a very high bar for ourselves and each other. Every win raises the bar. Every challenge sharpens us. This role is not for you if... * You need a highly structured environment, a predefined playbook, regular working hours, or a schedule that never requires travel. We operate with high autonomy and ownership, expect our team to go above and beyond, be obsessed with our mission and thrive in ambiguity rather than wait for direction. * You prefer long planning cycles and certainty before acting. We move quickly, ship often, and adapt based on customer feedback and new information. * You want to manage the work rather than do the work. We're builders first, and everyone is expected to contribute directly to creating exceptional products. * You take it personally when ideas are challenged, priorities shift, or work gets redirected. We care more about finding the right answer than defending a particular one. What we put behind our people Building at the frontier takes exceptional people. We invest accordingly. * Health Insurance : Full private health & dental coverage for you and your dependents. * Pension: Flexible pension scheme with up to 5% employer matching on qualifying earnings. * Food on us: Team lunches twice a week, plus dinner when working late in the office. * Cycle to work: Green Commute initiative scheme (up to £3k) to help you get a new bike tax-free. * Way we work: We combine deep, in-person collaboration (minimum 3 days/week in our Shoreditch office) with flexibility and trust. What matters is ownership, impact, and results, not where you work from. * Visa sponsorship: Yes Compensation We believe exceptional people should be compensated accordingly. £96,000–£160,000 including equity (depending on experience)
ABOUT CARBONCHAIN Want to work on the most pressing challenge of our generation? If you have experience building exceptional products, know how to execute at scale, and want to help build a company for the long term, we'd love to hear from you. CarbonChain helps the world’s biggest supply chains measure and reduce their carbon emissions, using verified primary data where possible, and robust defaults where it isn’t. We build software that turns messy, real-world operational and supplier information into decision-grade carbon and compliance insights, so teams can act: improve sourcing, meet regulations like CBAM, and deliver credible reporting to customers, investors, and regulators. We’re a product-led company operating in a high-stakes domain. Data quality, auditability, reliability, and trust matter as much as speed. If you enjoy building systems that customers rely on, and shipping improvements that measurably change behaviour across a network, you’ll feel at home here. OUR PRODUCT Our platform combines real-world emissions data with our customers' supply chain information to create actionable insights. We help sustainability teams answer critical questions: Where are the emissions hotspots in our supply chain? Which suppliers should we prioritize? What's the carbon impact of switching vendors or routes? A major focus of what we’re building right now is supplier engagement and CBAM data management: * enabling installations (goods producers) to prepare, manage, and share CBAM datasets through guided product carbon accounting workflows; * improving our supplier database and connection management to support sharing across supply chains; * and building ingestion pipelines that turn messy customer files into structured, provenance-tracked, insights-ready data. Beyond CBAM, our platform supports product and corporate carbon footprinting used by some of the world’s largest commodities producers and traders, helping teams move from data collection to credible reporting and decision-making ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and customers. This is a full-stack role with a frontend and product focus - you'll build features that users love and stick around to see how they're adopted. You'll work closely with Product Managers, commercial team, and customers to ship solutions that solve real problems. We're looking for someone who's worked in a startup environment and knows how to move fast, iterate based on feedback, and build with the customer in mind. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Build end-to-end features across the full stack, with a focus on creating polished, intuitive user experiences * Own features from ideation through to user adoption - you'll help define what we build, ship it, and measure its impact well after go-live and show true customer obsession * Work directly with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and validate solutions * Collaborate closely with Product Managers and designers to turn ideas into shipped features, making trade-offs and iterating rapidly * Partner with teams outside of Product & Engineering - like Sales, Customer Success, and Carbon Team - to understand how our product is used and what problems need solving * Build with modern frontend technologies while being comfortable diving into backend work when needed * Contribute to product thinking and help shape our roadmap based on what you're seeing and hearing from users * Think critically and pragmatically - ship MVPs quickly to learn from REAL users, and iterate WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 3+ years building applications across the full development lifecycle * Experience developing modern web applications, ideally in a startup environment * Strong collaboration skills - you work closely with Product to ideate features, advise on trade-offs, and iterate on what we've built * Passion for building customer-centric products and genuine curiosity about user problems * Experience working on features from ideation through to driving user adoption * Expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend development (experience with Angular is a plus) * Full-stack capabilities - comfortable working with Python backends (Python expertise is not a strict requirement) * Knowledge of relational databases, job queues, cloud infrastructure and how web applications work end-to-end * Comfortable with the startup pace and pragmatic decision-making * Bonus: SaaS or B2B product experience * Bonus: experience in climate tech or sustainability WHAT WE OFFER Meaningful impact and accelerated growth This is a rare opportunity to work on technology that directly addresses the climate crisis while shaping the future of a fast-growing company. You'll have significant influence over our technical direction and product strategy - the kind of impact that typically takes decades to achieve elsewhere. You'll tackle diverse challenges, work across the full stack of problems (technical and otherwise), and own meaningful projects from start to finish. If you want to learn quickly, take on real responsibility, and see the direct results of your work, this is the place to do it. Competitive salary and benefits: * 28 days annual leave * £500 home office setup allowance * £2,000 annual learning allowance * Private healthcare * Generous parental leave policy * Weekly team lunches in the office * Office gym, and cycle to work scheme CarbonChain values diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds. If you think your skills and experience match what we’re looking for and you’d like to join the next Climate Tech industry unicorn, please get in touch!
