If you are excited about working alongside our clients to solve complex problems and improve outcomes for citizens, we would love to hear from you.  We support some of the public sector’s most important programmes across Whitehall and the wider public sector, using our skills in Strategy and Business Cases, Project Delivery, Operational Delivery, DDaT and Government Commercial.    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Senior Manager in our Home Affairs team, you will lead the delivery of complex, high-impact work across policing, justice, defence and the Home Office. You will play a pivotal role shaping solutions, leading teams, and working closely with senior client stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes across critical government priorities.  You will typically lead workstreams or engagements, combining structured problem-solving with hands-on delivery. Alongside delivering impact for clients, you will contribute to developing our people, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the growth of our Home Affairs practice. You will lead the design and delivery of complex transformation and improvement work, typically owning workstreams or defined engagements. This may include:  * Leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver transformation programmes that improve citizen outcomes, public safety and operational resilience  * Shaping and delivering business cases, funding strategies and investment decisions for major public sector initiatives  * Designing operating models, service blueprints and organisational solutions for new or transforming government functions  * Leading the assessment and implementation of policy, operational and service changes across policing, justice, defence and Home Office environments  * Establishing effective programme governance, performance tracking and risk management to ensure delivery confidence and measurable outcomes  * Building strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a day-to-day delivery lead and advisor  * Leading teams and clients through complex problem-solving, using data, digital and analytics (including AI-enabled approaches) to drive evidence-based decisions  * Driving sustainable implementation, embedding change and building client capability  * Contributing to commercial and procurement strategy, including market engagement, supplier strategy and complex sourcing activity    YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE    We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong delivery leadership, client impact and growth mindset, rather than a specific number of years’ experience.  * Proven experience leading the delivery of complex projects, programmes, or transformation initiatives  * Experience working with, or within, government or public sector organisations (particularly policing, defence, justice or Home Office)  * Strong track record of structuring and solving complex problems, translating analysis into practical, implementable solutions  * Experience leading teams and developing others in delivery-focused environments  * Ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and influence decision-making  * Experience operating within programme governance, managing risks, and driving delivery outcomes  * Strong communication and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting to senior audiences  * Interest or experience in digital, data, analytics or AI-enabled transformation within public services  * Strong commercial awareness with the ability to spot opportunities, shape work and contribute to proposals or growth activity   WHAT A CAREER AT BARINGA WILL GIVE YOU  PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST. Commercial capability is critical to helping the public sector respond to major challenges, improve value for money, strengthen supplier performance and build more effective operating models. If you are excited by helping government clients solve complex commercial challenges and deliver meaningful public value, we would love to hear from you.   WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING * Leading government commercial transformation work for Home Affairs and wider public sector clients, helping them improve how they procure, contract, manage suppliers and deliver value. * You will design and improve commercial operating models, including governance, processes, decision rights, accountabilities, controls and ways of working. * Advising clients on commercial efficiency opportunities, helping them identify where commercial functions, supplier arrangements or contracts can deliver better value for money. * You will bring practical knowledge of government commercial regulations, procurement requirements, approval routes and governance into client delivery. * Working alongside broader Baringa teams to embed commercial expertise into transformation, operating model, digital, data, technology and change programmes. * You will build trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders, including commercial directors, operational leaders, finance teams, policy teams and delivery partners. * You will identify and shape new opportunities with Home Affairs and wider public sector clients, contributing to proposals, account development and the growth of Baringa’s government commercial capability. * You will lead and develop consultants within multi-disciplinary teams, providing direction, coaching and feedback while building Baringa’s internal commercial knowledge and methods. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE We are looking for someone with strong experience helping government or public sector organisations improve their commercial functions. This could include procurement, commercial operating models, supplier management, contract management, commercial efficiency and commercial transformation. Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in some of the following: * You will have experience delivering commercial, procurement or supplier-related transformation work in Home Affairs or wider public sector environments. * You may have built your experience in consulting, within a government commercial function, or through a combination of both. We are particularly interested in people who understand consulting delivery and can bring real government commercial expertise into the team. * You will have a strong understanding of how government commercial functions operate, including procurement regulations, governance, approvals, controls and stakeholder dynamics. * You have experience of working in complex commercial environments, helping programmes to deliver transformation through procurement activity' * You will have experience designing, assessing or improving commercial operating models, including structures, roles, processes, decision-making, capability and ways of working. * You will have experience identifying and delivering commercial efficiencies, value for money opportunities, supplier performance improvements or contract management improvements. * You will have experience working in complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder environments where commercial, operational, policy and delivery priorities need to be balanced. * You will have exposure to Home Affairs or adjacent government areas such as policing, law enforcement, justice, defence, national security, the Home Office or central government. * You will have experience leading client workstreams or teams, producing high-quality deliverables and turning commercial expertise into practical recommendations. * You will have an established network and experience leading business development, including shaping opportunities, contributing to proposals or developing client relationships.   WHAT A CAREER AT BARINGA WILL GIVE YOU  PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST.
