What you'll be doing: As a vital part of our central finance function, you'll be at the heart of WPP's Group reporting function, working on complex and exciting projects. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of areas, including: * Play a key role in our core functions: This includes impairment assessments, acquisition and disposal accounting, financial instruments, investments, leasing, and more, ensuring WPP's financial statements are accurate and compliant with IFRS. * Master the art of consolidation: Wrangle data from our global network of companies, navigating multiple currencies and jurisdictions to create a cohesive financial picture. * Drive process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance our reporting processes, making us more efficient and effective. * Influence senior leadership: Prepare critical financial information for senior management, providing insights and analysis that drive key decisions. * Be a compliance champion: Ensure adherence to WPP's accounting policies and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, safeguarding the integrity of our financial reporting. * Be part of a great team: We have a high performing team with a positive culture centred around collaboration, teamwork and supporting each other.  What you'll need: * Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) with at least one year of post-qualification experience, preferably in a listed (ideally UK premium listed) environment. * Experience navigating the complexities of large, multinational organisations. * Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus. * In-depth knowledge of IFRS. * Sharp analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. * A proactive, self-starter attitude with a thirst for learning and a passion for problem-solving. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the WPP network. * Advanced Excel skills   Who you are: You're open: We are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views. IMC

Join our London Finance team as a Senior Accountant, supporting the financial operations of IMC's London Office and FX and Commodity trading. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing essential financial processes while collaborating with various departments and regions. This is a hands-on role that requires both meticulous attention to detail and the ability to contribute to broader strategic initiatives. Your expertise in finance and regulatory environments will be key to driving IMC's growth as we continue to scale our London office. You will engage closely with stakeholders across trading, mid-office, tax, auditors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth financial operations across the organization. Your Key Responsibilities * Handle day-to-day accounting tasks for two entities, ensuring compliance with local GAAP / IFRS standards * Lead on month-end processes such as invoice booking, payments and bookkeeping as well as having a key responsibility in establishing month-end reconciliations and procedures for the UK * Prepare financial statements and workpapers for financial audit of our UK entities * Involved in yearly corporate tax submissions and management of third-party advisors * Support in quarterly and annual FCA submissions for relevant regulated entities * Involvement in quarterly VAT submissions for the UK group * Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance through automation Your Skills & Experience * Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field * ACCA qualified or equivalent * 5+ years of relevant experience; or 2+ years PQE * Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP / accounting software (experience with Workday is a plus) * Strong knowledge of financial processes and reporting for multiple entities and currencies * Genuine interest in financial products and trading; prior experience is an advantage but not required * Exposure to Python is desirable but not a prerequisite for this role * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. * Willingness or experience in using AI and automation would be highly advantageous * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English * Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently Location and Office Culture * IMC office in London, UK.
