The Algo Research team is responsible for alpha research across a wide range of time-scales (from high frequency to days), design
of monetisation/execution algos and market impact modelling across all major asset classes (including Cash Equities, Futures, FX,
Options). We work in close collaboration with various systematic research teams across Man Group to maximise realised P&L of
strategies. Algo Research is one of the key focus areas for Man.

For further information on how we process your data, please see the privacy notice for applicants here * As at 31 March 2026 Purpose of role: To generate powerful execution insights for a wide range of internal stakeholders (including PMs, traders, senior management and sales) and conduct research into algorithm and signal development to understand and optimise trading dynamics and maximise the realised P&L of strategies. Specific responsibilities: * Leverage the Execution Analytics platform to generate powerful execution insights for PMs and traders, helping to reduce market impact, improve capacity and inform optimal trading strategies. * Research and prototype new analytics and tools to improve the Execution Analytics platform and Quant Toolkit. * Model transaction costs, market impact and order fill rates across asset classes using advanced statistical and ML techniques. * Analyse large datasets to formulate mathematical models of microstructure patterns, order book dynamics and intraday predictive signals. * Drive automation, scalability and standardisation of analytics across experimentation, algo performance measurement and execution oversight. * Partner with technologists to deploy and optimise analytics, ensuring the Execution Analytics platform remains accurate, stable and operationally robust. * Act as a subject matter expert on execution data, supporting colleagues, sales and senior stakeholders across the firm. Technical competencies: * PhD or exceptional Masters qualification in a quantitative subject. * 6-12 Months post graduate work experience. * Experience of Buy side / Sell side, essential. * Ability to think creatively, develop and implement original research and ideas. * Exceptional analytical skills; ability to deliver end-to-end. * A solid understanding of statistics and an ability to apply it to real world problems. * Expertise in Python and related Data Science/ML libraries such as Pandas, Scikit Learn, Tensorflow. * Experience of handling large data sets and tick data. * Experience with visualisation tools and libraries. * Understanding of financial products and market microstructure. The Middle Office Team at IMC is seeking a Mid-Office Operations Manager; in this dynamic role, you'll drive trade reconciliation and settlement accuracy, swiftly resolve discrepancies, and ensure seamless trade flow across platforms in collaboration with trading and IT teams. As a senior member of the team, you'll serve as a subject matter expert and lead by example; mentoring junior analysts, sharing institutional knowledge, and setting the standard for operational excellence. You'll play a critical part in overseeing the full trade lifecycle, managing accounts, and calculating P&L, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and automation in a fast-paced environment.
