We are now looking for a Solution Engineer to join our team in London. YOU ARE:  * An exceptional technologist who loves to solve complex problems as part of a team * An individual with experience building solutions in the capital markets domain * Able to build strong relationships easily with your team and clients * Can think strategically and communicate concepts clearly to others * An individual who acts with authenticity and integrity through their work and interactions YOU WILL:  * Be an ambassador to Adaptive's clients * Build a strong, long term and trusting relationship with your team * Help others to grow and evolve through coaching, mentorship and feedback * Be accountable for the success and technical excellence of solutions delivered to clients at Adaptive: * Through individual contribution to the codebase on the most challenging aspects of a Delivery * Ensuring the output quality of the team you work meets the standards within Adaptive * Through the application of best practices within design and development (e.g. separation of concerns) * Through the advocacy of testing approaches (e.g. behaviour driven testing) * By helping to define and facilitate the adoption of standards within teams * Through the definition of performant and resilient architecture, and detailed design informed by the domain and client need * Be expected to advocate for technical decisions to your Team, Clients and other Stakeholders * Be able to lead a team in proper adherence to software development lifecycle processes * Be able to work with leadership to ensure that delivered work meets time, budget and possible constraints * Be comfortable escalating and articulating risks to team members, management and clients YOU HAVE:  * Strong communication skills * Experience in providing mentorship and support to team members * Significant, professional experience within capital markets, developing software solutions using Java in a highly performant, low latency manner * Experience using Aeron in a high-performance scenario within capital markets or digital assets * Familiarity with appropriate data structures and their usages (e.g. sets, maps and queues) * Relevant experience in building solutions within these domains: * Order Management Systems * Execution Management Systems * Smart Order Routing * Trading Venues & Exchanges * Matching Engines * Algo Containers * Risk Management * FIX Gateways * Experienced in working within an Agile environment and following a mature SDLC. * Experience with Distributed Systems and Consensus Algorithms * Experience with Event-driven architecture * Experience with Replicated State Machines WHY US:  * To work on exciting and groundbreaking client projects where you have the opportunity to innovate and drive change at pace * To be immersed in high-standard engineering culture * To work amongst industry-leading experts in technology and capital markets * To be part of the growth and development of a great company * Our teams feel free to speak up, make suggestions and raise concerns * Collaborative team environment: we all work together, respect each other, and pitch in * Great work/life balance (flexible, hybrid working model when clients permit, well-being benefits…). As a Snowflake Solution Engineer you must share our passion about driving the AI Data Cloud adoption, thrive in a dynamic environment and have the flexibility and willingness to jump in and get things done. You are equally comfortable in both a business and technical context, interacting with executives and talking shop with technical audiences and bridging the gap between audiences when needed. YOUR IMPACT (IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO): * Present Snowflake technology and vision, focusing on the AI Data Cloud and its capabilities, to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers. * Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation. * Immerse yourself in the ever-evolving industry, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Snowflake in relation to them. * Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing. YOUR CREDENTIALS (ON DAY ONE, WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE): * Outstanding presenting skills and executive presence to engage technical, business and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos. * Broad range of experience within Data platforms, analytics, and cloud technologies, including deep knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and lake house architectures. * Proven ability to discuss and demonstrate the value of Generative AI and Machine Learning (ML) use cases for enterprises. * Hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM ecosystems, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and familiarity with open-source frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, or PyTorch, along with a solid understanding of how to work with and deploy Large Language Models (LLMs). * Familiarity with core data concepts such as data modeling, data governance, and data engineering best practices. * Hands-on expertise with Python and SQL.
