The Role
At Octopus Legacy, we’re on a mission to make end-of-life planning simple and accessible for everyone. As a fast-growing startup,
we’re scaling quickly – and hiring exceptional people is at the heart of that journey.
We’re looking for our second recruiter to join the team and work alongside (and report into) the Head of People. This is a
hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll help us build a world-class team at speed. You’ll need to be scrappy, creative, and driven
by outcomes.
This is not your typical talent role – we’re looking for someone who’s excited by innovation, comfortable experimenting, and
passionate about leveraging technology, especially AI, to reimagine how great hiring is done.
You’ll play a key role in embedding AI-driven recruitment tools and strategies across the funnel - from intelligent sourcing and
automated CV screening to smart scheduling and even AI-assisted interviewing. We want someone who’s not just willing to try new
things, but eager to lead the charge in transforming traditional hiring practices.
Most importantly, you’ll need to deeply align with our values of optimism, hard work, and customer-first thinking. These aren’t
just words on a wall – they guide every decision we make, and we’re looking for someone who truly embodies them.

About the job OpenTable, a Booking Holdings, Inc. company, is seeking a 12 month fixed-term Talent Acquisition Partner to join our global team in London. In this role, you will be instrumental in recruiting fresh talent across multiple countries and departments, including Sales and Services, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance & Accounting. You will have a tangible impact on our business by acting as a brand ambassador, driving the full cycle recruitment process, and passionately advocating for candidate experience and diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities * Own full cycle recruitment responsibilities, continuously sourcing, screening, evaluating, and recommending candidates. * Attract top talent and engage passive candidates through direct sourcing, networking, online databases, social media, employee referrals, and creative programs. * Accurately track progress and maintain tracking metrics for recruiting using our ATS (Greenhouse). * Act as a brand ambassador to build and maintain the OpenTable employment brand. * Build positive relationships with employees across business functions and act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers. * Pipeline talent for future roles. Minimum Qualifications * 5 or more years of recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment. * Experience prioritizing and leading multiple searches simultaneously. * Demonstrable track record of acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers. * Ability to work autonomously with a sense of urgency. * Local to the London area and able to commute into the office 2 days a week. Preferred Qualifications * Experience recruiting for roles across the EU * Creative and results-oriented mindset focused on building positive relationships. * Adaptability and flexibility in the workplace. * Ability to communicate, interact, and negotiate effectively across time-zones with a variety of internal clients and external candidates. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibilities will vary; however, some of them will be to: * Take ownership of all aspects of the recruitment process, including; role profiling, candidate sourcing, CV screening, assessment planning, creating interview scripts and conducting interviews * Build a strong employer brand and attracting both the obvious talents (what we call shouting talents) as well as the more covert talents (what we call whispering talents) * Own the execution of further developing and automating our recruiting processes * Improve our onboarding process in close collaboration with management WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU We expect that you take ownership of everything you do, are proactive and follow through on commitments.
