As a Technology Manager in our Tech Data, AI & UX team, you will lead a high-impact engineering group responsible for building,
scaling, and operationalising data and AI capabilities across Engelhart’s trading, quantitative, risk and operational functions.
This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of data engineering, AI platform delivery, front-office technology, and
commodities trading
The role reports to the Global Head of Tech - AI, Data & UX and will play a central part in implementing Engelhart’s AI Business
Plan. That plan positions AI as a federated capability enabled by a central Tech AI team with responsibilities across platform,
governance and delivery, working closely with trading desks, Quant & Systematic teams, MOBO, Risk, Compliance, People, senior
management, external AI providers, cloud providers, data providers, BTG Pactual, Gridfuse, Metdesk and other partners.
This role will work directly with Traders, Quants, FO Analysts, Risk, Compliance and Technology stakeholders. Experience with
systematic trading, quantitative research workflows, or trading analytics platforms is highly desirable. The successful candidate
will help translate front-office needs into robust technical capabilities, ensuring that AI and data solutions are useful,
trusted, governed and adopted in real workflows.
The broader mandate is to help Engelhart move from experimentation to production-grade AI capability: improving productivity,
making company knowledge searchable, enabling AI-assisted workflows, and embedding AI into analytics through initiatives such as
Risk Copilot, Treasury Copilot, Power Forecast Copilot, Trader Copilot, and Quant Copilot.
You will manage a team consisting of four Senior Data Engineers and two AI & Agentic Platform Interns, guiding delivery across
both the core data engineering estate and the emerging agentic AI platform. The Senior Data Engineers are focused on building and
maintaining data pipelines, integrating and cleansing data, supporting analytical and operational use cases, and enabling
predictive analytics, machine learning, data mining, and systematic trading initiatives. The AI & Agentic Platform Interns support
the design and implementation of Engelhart’s central Agentic AI platform, including orchestration layers, agent runtimes, AWS
Lambda integrations, MCP servers, agent skills, knowledge bases, vector databases, retrieval pipelines, and AI productivity

Competitive Intelligence — AI in EMEA * Maintain current competitive intelligence on AI positioning from competitors active in EMEA markets * Develop EMEA-specific competitive battle cards and objection-handling guides that address how competitors position AI capabilities to European buyers. * Provide regular competitive briefings to EMEA field leadership on shifts in competitor AI messaging, product launches, and market positioning. AI Thought Leadership & Market Presence — EMEA * Support Smartsheet's AI thought leadership presence at EMEA industry events, analyst briefings, and regional marketing campaigns. * Develop regionally relevant AI content (blog posts, webinar scripts, event presentations etc) that builds Smartsheet's credibility as an AI-forward platform in European markets. * Partner with EMEA demand generation to integrate AI messaging into regional campaign strategy and execution. THE ROLE As a Senior Data Analyst in NextEnergy Group’s Data & AI team you will lead geospatial analytics projects, mentor junior analysts and deliver high-impact insights across climate, nature and social themes. You will partner with the Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Team and wider business stakeholders; design and maintain robust spatial datasets; develop and manage web based GIS applications; and apply spatial analysis to support due diligence across UK and international investment portfolios. Through the establishment of standardised geospatial processes, auditable data workflows and high quality visualisations, you will strengthen the organisation’s evidence base for ESG reporting and decision making. Work with engagement managers to scope technical delivery work with input from the customer * Empower Customers: Guide customers on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects which leads to a customers' successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks. * Own the Architecture: Lead architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with both customer needs and Databricks best practices. * Work with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure the technical components of the engagement are delivered to meet customer's needs. * Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and to guide rapid resolution for engagement specific product and support issues. * Customer Immersion: Embed with customer teams, engaging with stakeholders from technical ICs to executives to deeply understand challenges and deliver impact. * Reusable Assets & Scale: Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across accounts and influence the Databricks product roadmap. What we look for: * Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering * Comfortable writing code in either Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks * Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one * Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark™ and knowledge of Spark runtime internals * Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments * Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs * Design and deployment of performant production end-to-end data architectures and applications that combine data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces. * Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope, timelines and measurable outcomes, translating complex concepts into actionable solutions. * Documentation and white-boarding skills. * Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad stakeholder range * Build skills in technical areas, and demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to explore new technologies which support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects. * Travel to customers 20% of the time * Databricks Certification preferred but not essential About Databricks Databricks is the data and AI company.
