Your mission We are seeking a hands-on, driven Manufacturing Engineer to lead key builds for the ES-30 hybrid-electric aircraft. As we continue to expand our vertical integration, this role offers a unique opportunity to take full ownership of manufacturing process development, from design to achieving production rate.  You will play a critical role in Heart’s success, working closely with technicians, design engineers, and supply chain partners to bring complex components and assemblies from prototype to scalable production. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role at the core of our mission to revolutionize regional air travel.  Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:   Process Development & Optimization  * Design and implement scalable manufacturing processes for aircraft structures, propulsion systems, avionics, batteries, and other critical subsystems (multiple roles are open across teams)  * Develop and optimize workflows to improve build efficiency, quality, and repeatability  * Proactively identify and resolve production bottlenecks using root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques   Tooling & Equipment  * Design and specify custom tooling, fixtures, and solutions to support precision assembly and fabrication  * Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to source or fabricate required equipment  * Support automation initiatives and ergonomic improvements across the manufacturing floor   Prototyping & Production Builds  * Lead the execution of prototype builds and transition processes into low- and high-rate production  * Work closely with technicians on first article builds, ensuring safe, efficient, and repeatable methods  * Implement in-line quality checks and provide real-time troubleshooting during assembly   Cross-Functional Collaboration  * Partner with Design Engineering to drive DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly) feedback  * Develop and execute sourcing strategies by assessing supplier capabilities, and managing outsourcing timelines and budgets to ensure program alignment  * Ensure quality is built into the product by defining clear inspection criteria and implementing fast, cost-effective corrective actions   Documentation & Standards  * Create and maintain detailed work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)  * Contribute to the development of manufacturing standards and best practices as the company scales  * Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements   Skills & Requirements  * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)  * 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment (internship or co-op experience counts)  * Proficiency in CAD (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks)   * Strong understanding of materials, GD&T, machining, welding, composites, and/or assembly techniques  * Experience working with cross-functional teams in design, quality, and production  * Bias toward action, attention to detail, and a passion for hands-on problem-solving   These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have * Experience in aerospace, automotive, eVTOL, or electric propulsion manufacturing  * Exposure to high-voltage systems, thermal management, or battery integration  Base Pay Range:  $124,000—$176,000 USD

Heart is targeting type certification of the ES-30 by the end of the decade.  Your mission: Heart’s Production and Integration team is seeking a Buyer to support the procurement of electrical, mechanical, fasteners, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing parts while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery to support aircraft manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and suppliers to maintain a reliable and efficient supply chain within a highly regulated aerospace environment. As a key member of the Operations team, this is a high-impact, high-visibility role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments and is motivated to help drive innovation in the aerospace industry. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:  * Source and procure electrical, mechanical, fasteners, and COTS components to support production and engineering requirements. * Issue purchase orders and manage the full order lifecycle from placement through delivery. * Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms. * Establish and onboard vendors in accounts payable systems; develop and maintain an approved vendor list; support supplier audits and site visits. * Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost targets are met. * Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality to ensure parts meet specifications and regulatory requirements. * Maintain accurate procurement and supplier data within ERP/MRP systems. * Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support business needs and scalability. * Resolve supply chain issues including shortages, delays, and quality concerns. * Drive cost reduction initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts. * Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and aerospace regulations. * This position operates in a professional office environment with regular interaction with manufacturing and engineering teams. Occasional supplier visits may be required. Skills & Requirements: You'll Bring These Qualifications for the Buyer position: * 2+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.  * Familiarity with technical components (electrical, mechanical, fasteners, COTS). * Experience with ERP/MRP systems. * Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Strong supplier relationship management. * Cost awareness(budget) and analytical thinking. These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have: * Bachelors Degree * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100) Additional Requirements: * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.    * Regularly required to sit and stand for potentially long periods. * Must be able to lift at least minimum 30-50 lbs. * Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.  Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000 USD.

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead the planning, setup, and daily execution of aircraft production. This is a unique opportunity to build a manufacturing floor and team from scratch. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Factory Setup & Planning * Lead the design and layout of the new production floor, including work cells, flow, and equipment placement. * Evaluate, recommend, and coordinate procurement of production machinery and tooling. * Develop and implement tool control systems, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures. * Participate in the selection and setup of an MRP/ERP system, with a focus on production tracking, inventory control, and quality integration. Team Leadership * Hire, train, and supervise a team of skilled technicians and operators. * Establish a high-performance culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety. * Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship on technical and procedural matters. * Proactively develop training programs to address team and company needs. Production Management * Manage day-to-day production activities, ensuring schedule adherence, quality standards, and efficiency targets are met. * Collaborate with engineering on manufacturability feedback and process optimization. * Develop and monitor KPIs and drive root cause analysis for production issues. * Implement best practices and streamlined processes to ensure products are completed safely, with the highest quality, and delivered on time. You'll Bring These Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role, ideally in aerospace or high-precision industries. * Proven experience setting up or scaling a manufacturing facility. * Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, tool control systems, and production flow optimization. * Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems; experience with system implementation is a strong plus. * Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment. * Hands-on, no-task-too-small mindset. Base Pay Range:  $105,000—$155,000 USD
