Your Mission
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, Structures & Airframe, you will design, analyze, and develop aircraft structural components. You
will collaborate cross functionally to the design of the fuselage, wing, and empennage, working with both composite and metallic
materials, while gaining hands-on exposure to certified aerospace hardware development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical or aerospace engineer to contribute to the design and development of

About Heart Aerospace At Heart Aerospace, we are developing the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric aircraft designed to decarbonize and democratize aviation. The ES-30 seats 30 passengers, with a zero-emission electric range of 200 km and an extended hybrid range of 400 km. Heart is targeting type certification by the end of the decade. Your Mission As a Structures Analyst, you will support the analysis and development of aircraft structural components for a next-generation hybrid-electric airplane. Working closely with senior and staff engineers, you will contribute to structural analyses of composite and metallic airframe components, assist with design trade studies, and grow your technical skills in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to deepen their experience in structural analysis, finite element modeling, and aircraft design. We are looking to hire a Structure Analyst I and Structure Analyst II for the Structures team. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Perform structural analysis using classical methods and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools under guidance from senior engineers (e.g., Nastran, Patran, Abaqus, ANSYS). * Built and modifies FEA models for static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses. * Analyze and interpret simulation results, helping to document findings and recommendations. * Collaborate with design engineers to support structural sizing, weight optimization, and design iterations. * Perform basic hand calculations to support preliminary designs and validate analysis results. * Drive structural testing activities, including test setup assistance, data review, and correlation with analysis. * Manage structural issues by investigating root-cause analysis efforts. * Document analysis work clearly and maintain organized records of models, assumptions, and results. You'll Bring These Qualifications for a Structures Analyst I: * 0–2 years of professional experience, internships, or co-ops in structural analysis, aerospace engineering, or a related field. * Exposure to composite and/or metallic structures (academic or professional). * Familiarity with FEA tools (e.g., Nastran, Patran, Abaqus, ANSYS) through coursework, internships, or early career experience. * Foundational understanding of structural mechanics, materials, and aerospace structures. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Ability to communicate technical information clearly in written and verbal English. * Enthusiasm for aircraft development and alignment with Heart’s mission. * Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll Bring These Qualifications for a Structures Analyst II: * 2–5 years of professional industry experience. * Exposure to composite and/or metallic structures. * Familiarity with FEA tools (e.g., Nastran, Patran, Abaqus, ANSYS) through coursework, internships, or early career experience. * Foundational understanding of structural mechanics, materials, and aerospace structures. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Ability to communicate technical information clearly in written and verbal English. * Enthusiasm for aircraft development and alignment with Heart’s mission. * Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Education: * Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have: * Worked in a startup environment. * Exposure to composite materials and manufacturing methods. * Experience with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX). * Familiarity with aerospace certification concepts (FAA, EASA) through coursework. * Introductory experience with Python or scripting for analysis automation. * Master’s degree (or progress toward one) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Base Pay Range: * Structures Analyst I - $108,000 - $135,000. * Structures Analyst II - $124,000 - $155,000.

YOUR MISSION As a Mechanical Design Engineer at STARK, you will be a key contributor to the mechanical architecture of our next-generation UAV platforms. This isn't a role for someone who wants to stay behind a desk; you will take subsystems from initial concept through to high-rate production, working closely with our manufacturing facilities. You’ll be the bridge between ambitious design and reality, diving deep into CAD and Design for Manufacture (DFM). You will work within an agile, cross-functional team to ensure our airframes are robust, cost-effective, and ready for the field. RESPONSIBILITIES * Take ownership of major mechanical assemblies and payload integrations for current and future UAV platforms. * Optimise designs for high-rate production, ensuring we can scale from prototype to hundreds of units without compromising quality. * Apply best practices in parametric modeling, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure "first-time-right" assembly. * Drive decisions on airframe materials, structural layouts, and manufacturing processes (composites, additive, etc.). * Partner with Stress, Flight Test, and Systems teams to ensure structural integrity and successful flight trials. * Be hands-on with CAD, rapid prototyping, and shop-floor troubleshooting to iterate designs at pace. QUALIFICATIONS * Professional experience in mechanical design, ideally within aerospace, UAVs, automotive, or autonomous systems. * A proven track record of taking parts or structures from a sketch through to verification and into production. * Highly proficient in SolidWorks (CATIA experience is also beneficial). * Strong knowledge of composites, 3D printing, machining, and injection molding. * Familiarity with (or a desire to learn) MIL standards and certification pathways. * Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to both engineering peers and program leadership. * Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
