Who is your future team?
The Manufacturing Quality team is part of the Global Manufacturing department at Operations. You will be a part of a team consisting of 12 dedicated co-workers, all responsible for a certain contract manufacturer. Within the team there is different knowledge and areas of responsibility, but we all have the same goal:
To guide and support our engineers and manufacturing partners to select and produce the best possible parts and products at a high and repeatable quality level.
What will you do as Manufacturing Process Engineer?
You will be working in the Manufacturing Quality Team, giving important production expertise from an Axis perspective to our production partners. Drive activities such as improvements in high volume and optimization of the production process. It is incredibly important to have an overall production understanding and a mindset to always improve while maintaining quality.
You have a wish to help our partners in their production of Axis products and develop our cooperation. The team will have a deep collaboration with our external manufacturing partners (located in Asia, Europe, and North America) taking technical lead and ensuring that the requirements in the production process is fulfilled.
When a product needs to be transferred or in startup for a new manufacturing site to produce Axis products, you will be a crucial part of the team to ensure a good setup and production process for Axis products.
The Team will also function as the manufacturing partners connection to Axis, both serving as first line support and collecting feedback for improvement opportunities in future product projects.
In the case of a required design change on a product in the high-volume phase, you will be working in collaboration with Product Maintenance to control and implement these changes. You will be instrumental in providing requirements and input to new production systems designed or bought by Axis and in their implementation at the factory.
Travelling to our manufacturers will demand about 25 days/year.

Have 5+ years of relevant work experience including firsthand experience from production environment
Experience in Mechatronics and Automation
Genuine interest in working with design for production, risk mitigation and improvements
Love sharing your knowledge and give training both internal and externally
Are a person that keeps yourself updated on developments within your area
Are Fluent in English, speaking and writing.
Experience in Clean Room Technology
Experience in Adhesive and Sealants
Knowledge of 3D CAD - (Creo (Pro/Engineer)
Experience in PDM (Preferably Windchill)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading technology transfer activities for manufacturing processes for injectable pharmaceutical products, from development into manufacturing environments at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). You will support products from clinical development through to commercial supply. As Senior Process Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure robust, scalable, and GMP-compliant manufacturing operations. You will report to the Director Manufacturing Operations. Main responsibility Among others, your responsibilities will include: · Lead technology transfers of injectable pharmaceutical products from development into commercial manufacturing at CMOs. · Partner with R&D to ensure that formulation and process development activities support successful scale-up, manufacturability, and long-term process robustness. · Provide technical support for process development, scale-up, validation, and commercial manufacturing activities at CMOs. · Act as technical lead for investigations and troubleshooting of process deviations, OOS results, manufacturing failures, and other complex technical challenges. · Contribute to CMC documentation in support of global regulatory submissions and product lifecycle management. · Ensure that manufacturing processes are executed in accordance with applicable GMP requirements and regulatory expectations. Candidate profile We are looking for a professional with at least 7 years of experience from pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline. You have hands-on experience from manufacturing process development, technology transfer, and GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably within sterile or injectable products.
