Senior Embedded Firmware Developer - Access Control Solutions, Lund

We're seeking a highly skilled Firmware Developer to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Mechanical and Electrical teams, supporting hardware bring-ups, validating designs, and delivering robust embedded firmware for our products. Your future team Our Access Control team consists of motivated and humble engineers who thrive in a dynamic, agile environment. The team focuses on developing firmware for a range of access control products, supporting access control management software that configures, monitors, and controls our smart and secure systems. You'll have the chance to work on innovative, cutting-edge products that enhance video solutions, delivering top-notch services to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting new hardware and feature development for Axis' access control solutions, enhancing the product for our partners and customers worldwide. Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for our hardware platforms. Participate in board bring-up activities, including validating prototypes and troubleshooting hardware/firmware interactions. Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical engineers to refine system behavior, interfaces, and performance. Assist in defining hardware/firmware requirements, test procedures, and documentation. Participate in design reviews for schematics, layouts, and embedded architecture. Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows, tooling, and quality processes.

Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field. Solid experience in embedded C. Familiarity with microcontrollers, SoCs, or RTOS environments. Good understanding of schematics, datasheets, and basic hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with hardware teams. Excellent communication skills in English and/or Swedish.
