PURPOSE OF THE JOB / PROJECT
Play a key role in the improvement and innovation of IT solutions within a dynamic agile team delivering high-quality services
across key data domains. Contribute to major European initiatives such as SCAILED, supporting responsible AI in the biotech
sector, and EuropeAI focused on developing sovereign and trustworthy Generative AI solutions for public administrations. Support
the delivery of scalable, compliant, and impactful digital solutions in a multi-stakeholder European environment.
As a Software Engineer I, you will contribute to the implementation and evolution of applications and platform services and
support the integration of new solutions with LNDS’s existing data-centric infrastructures.
You will support continuous improvement and innovation within the organisation, focusing on:
· Assisting in automating parts of the software development lifecycle
· Supporting improvements to internal data flows and platform capabilities
· Contributing to technical environments used for data processing, analytics, and AI-related experimentation
You will be part of the Technology team, working in close collaboration with data specialists, AI experts, and governance teams,
contributing to projects related to AI, data governance, and digital public infrastructure.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Develop and maintain software components with guidance from senior team members

Technical competencies
* Experience or familiarity with Python or Node.js
* Basic understanding of backend development (APIs, services, integrations)
* Frontend experience (e.g. React) is considered an asset
* Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker or similar) is a plus
* Basic understanding of authentication and identity concepts is a plus
* Basic knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases

PURPOSE OF THE JOB / PROJECT
We are hiring an AI Engineer to help strengthen LNDS’s AI capabilities and enhance our services through the practical use of AI.
The role focuses on building AI-powered tools, agents, and workflows that improve how services are delivered to partners, making
them faster, more efficient, and more scalable. The position also contributes to reducing operational overhead and enabling teams
to focus on higher-value activities, while supporting long-term AI readiness across the organisation.
As an AI Engineer, you will be part of the DataOps team and work closely with the service delivery team to design and implement
AI-powered solutions that enhance LNDS services offered to partners. This includes:
• integrating LLMs and other AI technologies into service workflows
• building internal tools and agents
• improving how teams deliver, combine, and scale services.
You will work in a GNU Linux/Unix-first, FOSS-oriented environment and contribute through disciplined engineering, careful
experimentation, and clear documentation. The role focuses on applied AI engineering: turning real operational and service needs
into practical, reliable solutions rather than developing models from scratch.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Contribute to improving LNDS services by integrating AI into service delivery workflows
* Build and support AI-powered tools, agents, assistants and internal applications to support internal teams and partner-facing
activities
* Help simplify and accelerate service delivery by automating repetitive or manual tasks
* Assist with evaluating, testing, and integrating AI/ML models and related tooling for internal use cases

WHO YOU ARE
Required:
* BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics,
Physics and related fields
* 2–5 years of relevant experience in AI, machine learning, software engineering, data science, and a related technical area
* Good grounding in Python and sound software engineering practices
* Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments as a primary platform
* Hands-on experience with LLMs-based systems (RAGs, assistants, workflow automation, agentic systems or model evaluation)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB / PROJECT
As a DevOps engineer, you will play a key role in the improvement and innovation of our IT solutions for health data. You will be
part of a dynamic agile team that focuses on delivering high quality services to our clients and partners. You will also have the
opportunity to collaborate with teams around Europe on the Health Data Access Bodies (HDAB) project, a large scale initiative that
aims to enable access to health data across Europe for secondary purposes. The HDAB project is establishing a network of trusted
entities that can facilitate the access to health data, respecting the privacy and consent of the data providers and users.
HDAB-LU: This 4-year project, which started in January 2024, aims to develop and deploy the Health Data Access Body of
Luxembourg, which is the national authority responsible for granting access to health data for secondary use as set out in The
European Data Governance Act (DGA) and the European Health Data Space (EHDS). Its general objective is to enable Luxembourg to
establish and deploy services for its HDAB, at minimum:
• processing and management of data access applications,
• supporting secure processing of health data by data users,
• making sure that they are well integrated in the EHDS,
• establishing and aligning with EU standards, and providing cross-border connections for large-scale deployment of HealthData@EU
on the basis of the work conducted by the joint action TEHDaS.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Design, implement and maintain the HDAB and related tools at the European and national levels as part of the NinjaOps team.
• Configure and manage the HDAB operational services.
• Ensure the HDAB and services are reliable, scalable, and secure, following security- and privacy by-design best practices.
• Support the development team with agile software development and deployment practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the HDAB and services.
• Improve the quality and efficiency of the HDAB and services with automation, testing, and
feedback mechanisms.
