DEINE AUFGABEN The Internal AI team is on a mission to make appliedAI itself smarter - building the agent-driven automation layer that lets our colleagues hand off repetitive cognitive work and focus on what only humans can do. As a working student (m/f/x), you’ll join a team that ships to real internal users in short cycles, working closely with colleagues across the organization from discovery through to delivery. It’s a hands-on role with genuine ownership: you’ll see your work go from prototype to production within weeks. Your tasks will include: * Support process discovery sessions with internal teams - help map workflows, document decision points, and identify automation opportunities * Assist in building and maintaining n8n workflows that connect agents to Slack and other business systems * Contribute to developing Python services and LangGraph agents for stateful tasks involving tool usage, structured outputs, and multi-step reasoning * Help connect agents to appliedAI’s LLM APIs and external systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and standard authentication patterns * Support the implementation of production best practices - error handling, retries, logging, and observability - to ensure reliable operation * Collaborate in iterative development cycles, from prototype to pilot to production-ready template DEIN PROFIL * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field * Solid Python skills with practical experience building applications, scripts, or automation projects * Genuine interest in how organizations and business processes work — not just writing code * Basic understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and Git-based collaborative development * Experience with workflow automation platforms (Make, Zapier) or agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain); familiarity with AI development tooling such as Claude Code, MCP, or Langfuse is a bonus * Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus DEINE VORTEILE * A highly qualified and motivated team of ~90 people is on a journey to change the rapidly evolving European AI Landscape * Experience the best of both worlds with our hybrid work model: You can choose to work from our vibrant offices - either at the IPAI in Heilbronn or the House of Communication in Munich - while also enjoying the flexibility to work remotely a few days each week * Opportunity to shape a variety of projects and the development of new, original content based on the latest developments in AI and its adoption in businesses * An atmosphere that encourages to think and experiment in new ways with software, hardware, and processes * A highly visible initiative that helps you build a large and high-level network of start-ups, partners, and tech companies * Sports membership with Wellpass to access thousands of sports facilities all over Germany (and beyond), as well as online courses KONTAKT Lucas Fernandes - Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist appliedAI Initiative GmbH, August-Everding-Str. 25, 81671 München

DEINE AUFGABEN As part of appliedAI’s Strategy & Transformation team, you’ll take ownership of individual analyses and workstreams that help our partner companies - from DAX corporates to larger “Mittelstand” organizations - build and scale their AI ambitions. Working directly with client teams and internal experts, you’ll turn strategic AI questions into structured, actionable outputs, while deepening the technical grounding that sets appliedAI’s approach apart. This is a role for someone ready to run defined pieces of client work independently, with a senior strategist as their sounding board.  Your tasks will include:  * Own defined workstreams within AI strategy and use case portfolio engagements for partner companies, coordinating directly with client working-level contacts * Lead the execution of AI maturity assessments, from structuring the approach to presenting findings and recommendations to client teams * Design and facilitate workshops with client teams incl. management stakeholders, translating strategic AI questions into concrete concepts and solution guidelines * Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases across business functions, assessing technical feasibility, data requirements, and business value together with technical experts * Drive the development of reusable assets and frameworks for the Strategy & Transformation team, and help junior colleagues and the wider company to make use of these assets * Stay ahead of relevant AI research, tools, and industry practice, and turn it into concrete inputs for ongoing client engagements DEIN PROFIL * Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in a technical or business-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration) * Around 1-2 years of relevant experience applying AI/ML in a business context, e.g., as a consultant, analyst, or in an applied AI/data role * Solid working knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals (e.g., LLMs, machine learning, data pipelines) and confidence assessing the technical feasibility of use cases * Hands-on experience with tools such as Claude code / Claude Cowork/Github Copilot and comfort working directly with data and technical stakeholders * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate solutions clearly * A proactive team player, comfortable taking ownership and interacting directly with client teams * Fluent in English and German, communicating confidently with both customers and colleagues in either language DEINE VORTEILE * A highly qualified and motivated team of ~90 people is on a journey to change the rapidly evolving European AI Landscape * Experience the best of both worlds with our hybrid work model: You can choose to work from our vibrant offices - either at the IPAI in Heilbronn or the House of Communication in Munich - while also enjoying the flexibility to work remotely a few days each week * Opportunity to shape a variety of projects and the development of new, original content based on the latest developments in AI and its adoption in businesses * An atmosphere that encourages to think and experiment in new ways with software, hardware, and processes * A highly visible initiative that helps you build a large and high-level network of start-ups, partners, and tech companies * No fixed budget for growth – you decide how you want to develop, whether through training, certifications, conferences, or new challenges * Sports membership with Wellpass to access thousands of sports facilities all over Germany (and beyond), as well as online courses * JobRad: Lease a bike for a cheaper rate via JobRad and we cover the bike insurance on top * Sabbatical option: You can take a sabbatical of up to 3 months after min. 3 years of employment - because sometimes 30 vacation days are not enough to explore the beauty of this world * PME Familienservice: A 24/7 support for a successful work & life in any life situation.
