In this role, you will act as the global commercial leader of the Home Furnishing Business Area, driving strategic direction, commercial excellence, and long-term category growth. To ensure all Home Furnishing Categories contribute to IKEA’s global goals by influencing, aligning, and enabling markets, range teams, and cross functional partners based on deep commercial and customer insights.
Set the global strategic direction for the Home Furnishing Business Area based on deep customer insights and market trends. Drive long term growth and strengthen IKEA’s home furnishing leadership worldwide.
Own global sales, margin, and profitability for the HFB. Secure strong performance through clear steering, proactive follow up, and alignment with all markets and functions.
It secures the full operational cycle of range dimensioning by driving the annual process, enabling accurate range selection, and ensuring the offer meets customer needs and future opportunities.
Translate global HFB strategy into impactful execution across all physical and digital channels. Strengthen commercial solutions that improve experience, inspiration, and conversion.
Influence across the global matrix to build a high performance, values driven culture. Embed sustainability in the HFB agenda
The role is based in Malmö, Sweden, and you will report to the Core Area Manager.
We believe you have experience setting and leading global core area strategy grounded in customer insights and aim to grow market share development. Proven ability to drive global sales, margin and profitability with strong steering. Experience shaping the global product offer through market intelligence and range performance management.
Skilled at translating strategy into effective omnichannel execution across digital and physical touchpoints. Strong track record leading cross-matrix collaboration, building culture, and embedding sustainability.
Strong interest in developing the IKEA home furnishing business, with clear passion for our range, customers and life at home.
Extensive commercial/core area experience (e.g. category/assortment, sales, business steering) and solid managerial experience leading a commercial area with sales/margin responsibility.
Proven experience setting and leading category/core area strategies (global or multi market) based on customer insights and market trends, with a track record of long term growth or market share development.
Experience owning or steering sales, margin and profitability and shaping the product/range offer via market intelligence and range performance management.
Skilled at range dimensioning/selection processes, monitoring range performance, and developing tools, templates and ways of working to secure consistency and efficiency across markets.
