MilDef is currently looking for Project Managers for different parts of our business. One role is within our Engineering Department, where you will lead product development projects and work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including experts in mechanical design and electronics development, among others, to design, develop and deliver rugged tactical IT solutions. The other role is within our Solutions and Integration Team, where you will lead customer-focused projects and collaborate with System Engineers, Systems Architects, and other technical specialists to design and deliver tailored IT and infrastructure solutions. In both roles, you will lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your leadership will be essential in driving projects forward and ensuring the successful delivery of advanced products and solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, promote innovation and efficient development, and ensure that every step of the project supports MilDef’s overall business objectives. Key responsibilities * Systematically manage assigned development and delivery projects according to MilDef’s project processes, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives. * Lead and actively contribute within project teams, ensuring the right resources, competencies, and conditions are in place for success. * Identify, manage, and escalate risks and project challenges when necessary. * Monitor project and product costs, ensuring financial control and adherence to budgets. * Report project status to steering committees and stakeholders, maintaining transparency through regular progress updates. * Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of MilDef’s project and development processes. * Promote structured ways of working while encouraging innovative and efficient solutions. * Stay closely involved in project execution, helping to drive progress and achieve successful outcomes. What you bring * A university degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, electronics, mechanics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Several years of experience leading development, delivery, or customer-facing projects. * Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to create engagement and collaboration across cross-functional teams. * Solid technical understanding and an interest in product development, system solutions, or IT infrastructure. * A structured and process-oriented approach to managing projects and priorities. * The ability to balance technical and business needs to achieve the best possible outcomes. * A proactive, driven, and results-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement. * Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, written and spoken. This is a hands‑on, business‑critical role where you work close to infrastructure, systems, and users, contributing to reliable day‑to‑day operations as well as continuous improvement. You will be part of an experienced IT Operations team, working in a multi‑country environment where operational stability and availability are essential. Reporting to the IT Security & Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with IT colleagues, end users, and external vendors to maintain and develop a resilient IT platform that supports the business. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will be responsible for the operational stability and availability of our IT infrastructure: * Maintaining and supporting on‑prem server, storage, cloud, and network environments, including WAN/LAN, firewalls, switches, and access points * Ensuring infrastructure stability through daily monitoring, patching, system health checks, backups, and disaster recovery * Managing the hardware and infrastructure lifecycle, including installation, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning * Handling operational incidents and troubleshooting, coordinating escalations with external vendors when required * Supporting platform and identity services such as DNS, domains, certificates, Entra ID / Active Directory, and endpoint management platforms * Providing hands‑on onsite and remote IT support, including support for new store openings, relocations, asset handling, documentation, and travel to Group locations. WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE You have a strong interest in infrastructure and IT operations and enjoy working in an environment where reliability, service, and continuous improvement are key. * Relevant education within IT or equivalent practical experience * At least 3 years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure within business‑critical environments * Hands‑on experience with servers, networking, and infrastructure operations * Familiarity with virtualization, storage solutions, and distributed IT environments * Experience working with Microsoft platforms such as Windows, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID / Active Directory * Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken As a person, you are structured, organized, and calm under pressure.
