Job Description Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller you will create impact within our accounting team while you seek and implement solutions to improve processes. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Intercompany reconciliations. * Journal Entries. * Payroll reconciliations. * Balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of month end folder reporting. * P&L analysis. * Accruals and prepayment reviews. * Revenue reconciliations. * VAT returns for regions. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. * 2+ years of experience in an Accounting position. * Compliance orientation. * Deep understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting requirements. WHAT YOU'LL DO The credit risk operations team plays a critical role in ensuring a healthy financial ecosystem for businesses around the world. This team will directly impact the company's bottom line and growth capabilities by supporting new and emerging businesses. The Credit Operations team is responsible for conducting credit risk assessments, underwriting small and mid-size users, and proposing mitigation strategies that enable Stripe to take smart risks for our users. RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with merchants, from successful venture-backed startups to well-established institutions, evaluating their business models and financial statements • Help manage Stripe's portfolio by developing a deep understanding of risk across industries, geographies, and operating models • Identify differing risks of complex business models and enforce appropriate loss mitigation actions based on your assessment • Utilize analytics to optimize strategies that can be enforced across Stripe's portfolio • Identify risk factors and trends and further report these identifiers to the wider risk team to ensure consistency in partnership • Identify gaps in current systems, policies, and strategies, and recommend enhancements and process improvements • Have an opportunity to learn how Stripe operates from the ground up and make a real impact on the future of the organization • Be a part of building a brand-new team and operational culture for Stripe • Partner with global operations specialists or business process owners to run a critical workflow WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. WHAT YOU'LL DO Stripe's Global Business Services (GBS) team is looking for a Deal Strategist to focus on the closure of custom and standard commercial deals. You will be responsible for deal lifecycle management and supporting cross-organizational alignment. This role requires a background in driving custom deals to closure, a strong understanding of pricing frameworks, and experience supporting sales through negotiations. The candidate will have experience with SaaS products, pricing strategies, and supporting selling motions, along with strong communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage end-to-end customer deals—drafting, editing, and reviewing agreements—while supporting the sales cycle to ensure deal terms align with business goals, reflect strategic priorities, and close as forecasted. * Act as the primary point of contact between Sales, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders for deal-related questions, approvals, and escalations. * Work directly with sales teams, sales leaders, services/support teams, and customers to advise on deal structures, establish compelling commercials, and drive resolution of customer issues. * Advise sales teams on the best approach by understanding customer and partner requirements, while balancing custom terms with internal system constraints. * Remove internal blockers and drive alignment across cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, Finance, and Accounting. * Support complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial and legal agreements. * Support the pricing and structuring of multi-threaded product use cases in all segments and industries, especially in highly competitive sales cycles. * Quickly build credibility and trust with internal stakeholders. * Demonstrate strong communication and persuasion skills when working with cross-functional partners and senior leaders.
