BOB is a free finance employee for businesses. Bob does the books, pays vendors, chases invoices, and answers any money question
you throw at him.
He works through regulated financial partners, with the controls and approvals needed to move real money safely. Our whole
philosophy is that Bob is real. When work comes up, we ask one question: why not just give it to Bob?
We believe AI agents are becoming economic actors. Done right, that gives every founder and business more leverage—not less
control. We’re building the financial infrastructure that makes that future useful, safe, and available to anyone with a business
to build.
We’re backed by Circle Ventures and founders of PayPal, Zynga, and Plaid—including Peter Thiel, Mark Pincus, and Zach Perret.
You’re an early full-stack engineer, but infrastructure is your home base. You can ship the product end to end. Your center of
gravity is the machinery underneath it: money movement, provider integrations, the ledger, and the production systems that have to
work when things get weird.
This is not a narrow DevOps job. You’ll write product code, touch the dashboard, design APIs, debug financial workflows, and own
infrastructure in the same week.
You’re a full-stack builder with platform instincts: pragmatic enough to ship and rigorous enough to protect the infrastructure
underneath it.
You stay calm when systems fail. You can follow an ambiguous problem across the UI, API, database, provider, and AWS account
without throwing it over the wall.
You’re deeply fluent in Go, strong with PostgreSQL, and comfortable in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. You understand concurrency,
idempotency, failure recovery, and why “probably executed” is a real state when money moves.
Payments, ledgers, financial infrastructure, or another high-trust system is a big plus. Perseverance is not optional. A lot of
the important work is the last unglamorous 10%.
In person at our Miami office on the Venetian Islands.
Small team, high trust, zero bureaucracy. It’s a fun place to work.
$170K–$220K base + equity. Early hire, real ownership.
ABOUT WHEELY Wheely is redefining premium transportation across major cities in Europe, the US, and the Middle East. We blend cutting-edge technology with the craft of five-star chauffeuring to deliver an experience trusted by more than 100,000 active riders and 1,200 corporate accounts. We’re a profitable, fast-growing scale-up with $43M raised and over $100M in annual revenue. Having recently launched in New York City, we’re expanding rapidly across the US and EMEA. If you take pride in your craft and want to help shape the next chapter of our growth, we'd love to hear from you. ABOUT THE ROLE Wheely is going live in Florida, and we're hiring the General Manager who will get us there. You'll join with roughly three months to launch: hiring the founding team, securing the fleet and chauffeurs, building the operation before the first ride. From there, you own the P&L and the brand in Florida: service standards, growth, clients, team. You'll report directly to our CEO and work alongside the team behind our New York launch. We're accelerating our US rollout on the back of New York, where growth has run ahead of plan, and Florida is next. With Miami as our regional HQ and operations across South Florida, the market case is straightforward: the local UHNW population has doubled over the past five years, demand runs year-round rather than seasonally, and the hospitality culture is closer to Wheely's standards than almost anywhere else in the country. We're looking for an operator who has launched or scaled a market before and who can move fast without losing the polish that defines Wheely. Seven-plus years of operating experience; backgrounds in investment banking or consulting are a plus, but not a substitute for hands-on operating chops. South Florida residency is required. RESPONSIBILITIES * P&L responsibility for Florida * The offline product: pricing, availability and fleet composition * Four local teams * Driver Operations * Quality & Training (our Chauffeur Academy) * Sales (Wheely for Business) * Marketing * Launch and expansion strategy across Miami, Palm Beach, and key seasonal moments * Drive business development, identifying and capitalising on new opportunities for growth and partnerships * Collaboration with central Product team on the passenger and chauffeur experience * Regulatory strategy: navigating Florida's licensing and compliance landscape * External representation: press, partnerships and key stakeholder engagement REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or Economics from a leading university * Minimum 7 years of total experience, including 5+ years in either high-growth tech, investment banking, strategy consulting, VC or private equity * Excellent leadership and team management skills * Strong analytical / problem-solving skills * Professional fluency in English * Based in Miami WHAT WE OFFER * Base salary starting from $210,000 per year, plus an annual bonus and equity in a high-growth scale-up. * Comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage and other benefits designed to support your wellbeing * Monthly credit for journeys with Wheely, allowing you to experience our service as a passenger and stay closely connected to the product * Office-based role in Miami All of your personal information will be collected stored and processed in accordance with Wheely’s Candidate Privacy Notice
Join us to build the future of financial advice - personal, accessible, and built for today. Financial advice has been too expensive, exclusive, and out of reach for too long. At Clove, we’re combining trusted advisers with technology to close the advice gap and help people make smarter decisions with their money. As one of our first hires, you’ll shape how advice works for today - personal, accessible, and built around real lives. What you’ll do: * Architect and build Clove’s core backend systems — focused on reliability, auditability, and scale. * Integrate with external custody, trading, identity, and KYC systems — wrapping them in clean abstractions. * Design and implement our internal Book of Record, transaction logic, and compliance-sensitive state transitions. * Build and maintain APIs used by our mobile app, advisor tools, and internal systems — with clear permissions and observability. * Define the structure of our internal event system and data models that power advice, execution, and audit history. * Collaborate closely with product, ops, and advisors to ship systems that are safe, understandable, and performant. What we’re looking for: * 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including time at a fintech, bank, trading platform, or financial infrastructure company. * Strong understanding of core fintech concepts — ledgers, trades, balances, custody, compliance, and audit trails. * Deep production experience in at least one backend language (e.g. Go, Java, Kotlin, Rust, Python) — you’ve built real systems with it and can reason deeply about code quality, testing, and architecture. * Experience integrating third-party systems via API, and designing wrappers to future-proof against vendor lock-in. * You write secure, well-tested code and think in terms of system integrity, auditability, and fault-tolerance. * Bonus: experience with Postgres, event-driven systems, background job processing, or workflow orchestration (e.g. Temporal) Why join now: 1. Help define and build the backend foundation of a next-generation financial institution — from day zero. 2. Join a high-trust, high-context founding team with deep product and design experience. 3. See your work go live quickly — and directly shape the systems that power our users, advisors, and internal team. Our offer A chance to join a small, senior team building Clove from the ground up. You’ll have ownership, flexibility, and real impact - backed by trust, momentum, and a mission that matters. Our process We keep it simple: real conversations with the founding team, practical exercises if useful, and clarity about what we expect from each other. No hoops for the sake of it.
