Department: Operations – College SEC Contract: Full-time Salary: $50,000 - $57,500 base salary, plus bonus Location: Birmingham, AL (Up to 5 days/week in the office) ROLE AND TEAM OVERVIEW As a College Live Ops Coordinator, you will work as part of a growing team to ensure the operational quality of Video Replay services for the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The sports included in our SEC delivery span Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Baseball, and Softball. The 2024-25 season marked our inaugural year partnering with the SEC. As we close out Year 2, we are looking to expand our team to further support and scale this delivery. We will equip you with comprehensive training, support, and full exposure to our proprietary systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Operational Quality: Take responsibility for the "live" operational quality of replay deliverables. Verify system readiness for every assigned sporting event and ensure all system workflows are strictly followed while corresponding directly with onsite personnel. * Documentation & Training: Produce thorough documentation for (and assist in delivering) training programs for college replay staff, including both onsite technicians and the Birmingham team (in alignment with Service Ops). * Workflow Refinement: Create and refine comprehensive documentation for operational workflows, including checklists, post-event reporting, and disaster recovery protocols. * Process Improvement: Continuously challenge existing processes to identify operational gaps and inefficiencies. * Hardware Monitoring: Partner with the Atlanta Project Team to monitor system performance and ensure any hardware anomalies or quirks are addressed in a timely manner with a definitive rectification plan. * First-Line Issue Resolution: Act as the first level of resolution for operational software issues and challenges before escalating to the Tech Ops engineering teams. * Software Feedback: Provide constructive feedback on software functionality, UI, and general ease of use from an end-user standpoint to help drive development. WHAT TO BE PREPARED FOR Because this position is incredibly versatile, there is no "typical day in the life." Instead, your schedule will adapt to the sporting calendar, shifting between fast-paced live event support on game days and structured project collaboration mid-week. * Event Readiness: Your primary role will be to ensure the quality of assigned events are operationally sound from pre-game, in-game, and post-game checklists. * Primary Contact: You will be the main point of contact for on-site personnel if remote assistance is required, as well as relaying all necessary information regarding each assigned event to the wider Hawk-Eye team. * Logistical Support: You and your team will be responsible for ensuring the operational preparedness of events that require logistical support and attention (Staffing, hardware/network/software requirements). * Travel: You will be expected to travel at times to select events that require on-site staff, and times events around the conference that require Birmingham staff representation. WHAT DIFFICULTIES MIGHT I FACE? * Non-Traditional & Live Hours: Due to the live nature of the events this role spans, you must be prepared to work non-traditional hours. This includes long days over consecutive weekends and midweek evenings—because we work whenever sport happens, flexibility is key to success in this position. * Technical Troubleshooting: In this role, you will be the primary remotely supervising contact for Hawk-Eye on-site personnel, meaning you will be responsible for ensuring the technical and operational readiness for each assigned event. You will step in to fix issues remotely as they arise under tight timelines. Taking ownership of replay service delivery will require a strong problem-solving mindset and clear communication in high-pressure situations. SALARY & BENEFITS DISCLOSURE The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $50,000 to $57,500. This range does not include any other compensation components or bonuses for which an individual may be eligible. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, unique skill sets, educational background, professional certifications, and geographic location. What part will you play? The Senior Account Executive is an individual contributor sales role in Media & Entertainment. This role is focused on non-named and non-vertical systems integration customers within defined region. This role will call on regional customers within the defined geography/territory that are not covered by the strategic accounts team, pro sports venue and the faith vertical sales teams. The customers base includes a wide range from regional sports networks to college sports venue and corporate customers. This position will report directly to Media and Entertainment Sales leader. This position will work directly with the business unit team to execute and drive sales aligned with the BU plans.    What will you be doing? * Create account specific strategies with new and existing targeted named regional accounts that maximizes the business potential in line with the direction of the BU plans,  * Secure new sales opportunities in targeted accounts and focus on creating new and strengthen current customer relationships.  * Ability to close strategic deals, navigate unique client support situations. Knowledge of Production and Distribution applications for professional video, audio and networking. Understanding of network and broadcast technology needs and applications. PhD Research Fellow in Multisensory Networked Interactions with Robotics Avatars

About the position​ We invite applications for position as PhD Research Fellow in Multisensory Networked Interactions with Robotics Avatars available at Department of Informatics. The fellowship period is three years. Depending on the candidate and the teaching needs of the department, the fellowship period can be extended either for compulsory work consisting of e.g. teaching and supervision duties and research assistance up top four years. Starting date as soon as possible. No one can be appointed for more than one PhD Research Fellowship period at the University of Oslo. Place of work is the Department of Informatics at Blindern, Oslo. Job description​ The PhD fellowship position is located at the Department of Informatics and is hosted jointly by the Network and Distributed Systems Research Group and the Robotics and Intelligent Systems Research Group. The research groups consist of around 30 full- and part-time faculty members and several postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. The research groups conduct research in various areas of mobile network systems, multimedia and AR/VR/XR systems, robotics and machine learning, focusing on fundamental aspects as well as on applications in multidisciplinary contexts. This position is part of the DRIVE project, funded by the Research Council of Norway (RCN) (2026-2030), focusing on brain-driven multi-sensory robotic avatars for remote collaborative physical work. The DRIVE project involves Simula Research Laboratory and University of Texas at Austin, USA, as partners. In addition, this PhD candidate will be able to participate and exploit synergies with the National AI Centre for AI and Creativity (MishMash), led by University of Oslo, funded by the RCN (2025-2030). The successful candidate will join the Sustainable Immersive Networking Lab (SINLAB), a multidisciplinary team working on systems that enable users to act in remote physical spaces and experience the effects of their actions through multimodal feedback (audio, video, haptics). While SINLAB addresses applications in health, industry, education, sports, entertainment and creative domains, the focus of the PhD candidate will be on remote collaborative physical work especially the real-time interaction among humans and between humans and a remote environment. The main challenge with such networked interactions is that haptic feedback has very stringent delay requirements as low as 20 milliseconds. Therefore, performing such actions remotely with both action and reaction traversing long distances is far beyond our technical capabilities today. Even the developments in 5G and beyond networks that specifically target significant latency reductions are not sufficient due to physical as well as resource limitations. The core research objective of this PhD is to design and evaluate “latency hiding” methods for immersive networked interactions. This involves (i) developing predictive machine learning models that forecast user actions and remote system responses across audio, video and haptic modalities, and (ii) jointly orchestrating network and computing resources to compensate for the gap between physical latency limits and human perceptual tolerances. The work will comprise designing networking and computing architectures that integrate prediction and control algorithms, optimizing data transformations, offloading and distributed computing, and exploiting mechanisms such as network slicing and multi-access edge computing. The overarching goal is to guarantee perceptual latency budgets and to devise embodiment recovery strategies when these budgets are exceeded, enabling consistent, realistic and cognitively coherent remote physical interaction with robotic avatars.
